With the music thing you can also upload pictures to the file make your Sims paint whatever you want. I once made my Sim paint a picture of Chuck Norris 😂

I discovered a lot of these on my own, but I've never been able to get the gorilla or any of the other dancers to come out of the cake. If you hire the male entertainer there's a chance that you'll get an Elvis impersonator. Also there's a chance that the Tragic Clown might come out of the cake, although I'm not sure whether or not you need Livin' Large in order to make that happen (doesn't really matter with Complete Collection as all the expansion packs are included, lol!). One Easter Egg that I didn't know about until fairly recently is if you get the most expensive souvenir cabinet from Vacation (the one with the peacock) and fill it up with souvenirs, the peacock's tail will gradually fan out, and when all the shelves are full it will light up.
Also with the music, you don't have to replace/rename the MP3 files in order to play your own music on the stereo or in Buy/Build Mode. All you have to do is simply take any MP3 file you want and put it into the folder for whichever station/mode you want it to play on. So for example, if you wanted to you could leave the original "Rock1" MP3 file in the Rock folder but also put the Bully Maguire MP3 in the folder, and they will both play at random intervals along with all the other music in the Rock folder when you're tuned to the Rock station. Same thing for if you want to listen to your own music when you're in Buy/Build mode, the Neighborhood screen, etc. The only thing you can't do is create your own radio stations (at least I don't think there is), so you'd have to put the MP3 files in whichever folder you think best suits the music.
That is all so cool! And thanks so much for teaching me about the music thing! I had no idea it would work so easily!

How about broken lights in the sims 1 as according to the wiki both table lamps and floor lamps can have burnt out light bulbs if used extensively and sims can get electrocuted if they try to replace the light bulb with low mechanical skill. I think the Hot Date Expansion Pack as well all expansion packs after Hot Date as well as the deluxe edition seemed to have removed that feature somehow and that’s why I never had broken lights in my play through of the Sims. Maybe if it’s possible to play the sims 1 without any expansion packs and see if lights can be broken in the Sims 1 base game only.

When I played The Sims religiously after I got out of high school in 2006, I found out about the radio trick and I put all kinds of music in there. I remember my Sims dancing to Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie and Britney Spears lmao I was so mad that you couldn't do this in later Sims games, specifically Sims 4.

However, the game is considered abandonware at this point, which means you cant legally purchase it at this time. You can see if archive.org has it available for download and read the instructions on how to get the game to work. It should be easy. But do so at your own risk! Scan for viruses before you do and also be sure to purchase the game if it ever becomes available again!

I've no idea how I knew some of these, given how young I was when I played Sims 1. I was probably around 7~10. But I remember vividly how my friend and I spawned Santa and we got the fireworks from him. And we were sooo confused why it would lit everything on fire everytime we used it indoors.... I sometimes think back on it and just go "we were kinda dumb".
That is awesome that you actually still remember some of these items! I can't blame you for the fireworks, you were kids! What was Santa thinking that fireworks were a great gift!

Immediately knew the rug one due to my buddy all the way back from 3rd grade who would get seriously pissed at all the neighbor sims coming over all the time so every new game he would hold several parties at once, lure them all into a giant rug room and burn them all just so they'd stop spam-visiting lol.

@@Tytar I gotta admit it brang some sting of psycho out of me because it made us both laugh till we couldnt breath. That and with that many dying at once the reaper has no clue what he should do and can sometimes have very peculiar behavior. One time he just kinda stood there next to the mailbox, brokedown, greeted my friends sim (handshake) and spontaneously vanished leaving all the bodies on the ground. It's like he just gave up and peaced out after the mess he saw us make lol.

Finding this video makes me want to say: you have the perfect editing style for the algorithm and are almost there on your personality, got a bit confused at first in the video cause you didn't explain enough. Your background on your tv in the back sucks in my opinion and almost ruins it probably cause of the font. And the pictures and lack of detail. I downloaded this game and have a question for anyone who can answer it. Sometimes, the sim will stare at the player flailing their arms with a speech bubble above their head. Inside it, there are red blinking icons of couches and such. What does this mean?
I am so confused, and no guides exist.
If you're seeing blinking icons of couches and such, those are their needs they need improved! If you see a couch, they need to have their comfort need improved. Find a couch, chair, or bed for them!
