    Previous video stated estrogen an progesterone doesn't cause breast cancer. So why take drugs to block estrogen when that wasn't the cause of my breast cancer.

      She wont adress this contradiction.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  4 месяца назад +5

      Exactly! The fact that these drugs are for so-called "prevention" is a result of fear, not science.
      I give you this education so that you can see discrepancies like this.
      Fear is the most powerful emotion on Earth. And it's powerful enough to completely erase facts and prevent people from using their brains to think.
      You are a very good student.

      @MenopauseTaylor so when someone is diagnosed with an estrogen positive form of cancer, it makes the patient think that it feeds off estrogen and will return. I'm no expert but understand that all cancers feed off sugar/carbs. Which i also think contributes to developing cancer in the first place. So i take it, my dear friend can resume taking HRT?

    • @jamiebond8481
      @jamiebond8481 4 месяца назад

      Estrogen receptor positive cancers feed on estrogen. Estrogen receptor blocker meds prevent estrogen from attaching to the cancer cells, and therefore cancer cells starve and die. Chemo is intended to damage cancer cells as fast growing cells , and therefore damaged cells die.

    My neighbor (when I was a child) called me affectionately “question box.” She later confessed she would see me coming over to play with her kids then called my mom to ask her to yell outside and call me home 😂 I drove her nuts Hah!

    Dr. Taylor. How do you feel about estrogen/testosterone injections? I’ve just started going to a menopause clinic and this is the only form of HRT they provide. They’ll write a prescription for progesterone, but I don’t need that. I’m just curious how you feel about it.

    • @MenopauseTaylor
      @MenopauseTaylor  4 месяца назад +2

      Nothing is about how I feel. What matters is facts.
      You are "Mama Bear." Your hormone is estrogen.
      Menopause is, by definition, when you lose your estrogen. And until you get your estrogen right, nothing will be right.
      Testosterone is "Papa Bear's" hormone. Testosterone is to men what estrogen is to women.
      You cannot solve Mama Bear's estrogen deficiency with Papa Bear's testosterone any more than you can solve insulin deficiency with thyroid hormone.
      It sounds to me like you have fallen prey to scammers. You would benefit greatly from a consultation in which I tailor everything specifically to YOU. I have no product to sell. But with a consultation, you will have the whole education applies specifically to YOU. You can schedule a MenopauseTaylor.ME. I do them all online.

      Thank you very much. I had a feeling when I started that this wasn’t the right course of action for me. I will absolutely be scheduling a consultation. I saw the next you have available is mid June. I don’t know what I’ll do until then, but I know I have something to look forward to. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do for us women!!

    My friend has just recovered from breast cancer, she had chemo and radiation. She had aggressive stage 3 which was estrogen positive. She's on estrogen blockers. She is 55 yrs and she feels awful without estrogen. She was told in percentage terms that she is better without but by a couple of percent. 2% versus 5% of recurrence. Is it safe for her to take hrt. She has her uterus and she has always been overweight? Any thoughts please or have you done a post breast cancer video?

    • @JenniferAntolik
      @JenniferAntolik 4 месяца назад +3

      She should consult her doctor, I take tamoxifen (stage 3, grade 3 er/pr+ her2-) and my dr wanted to switch me to a complete hormone blocker for menopausal women and the difference is in recurrence prevention is 1%. Tamoxifen lets your body fat still produce a little bit of estrogen. I also use vaginal estrogen which is proven safe for women who have had breast cancer. She has options. My dr said a lot of women feel like what you describe .

    • @wendyhume446
      @wendyhume446 4 месяца назад

      @JenniferAntolik thanks Jennifer. Are you using full strength estrodial vaginally eg it goes into your blood stream, systemic. Thank you. Did your doctor say that was a safer option than taking hrt orally?

    • @JenniferAntolik
      @JenniferAntolik 4 месяца назад +2

      It doesn’t go into your bloodstream. It’s a low dose- 10mcg estradiol. My drs and my functional dr say it is not safe to take oral hrt after breast cancer.

      @@JenniferAntolik how did your doctor respond to you not wanting to switch to a complete hormone blocker? and what abouit those closest to you? I have been diagnosed with a similar cancer/stage as you (I am 52 yo/will have ovaries removed soon). And in a similar situation. I have not switched over yet and am stuck between what I want and those closest to me want? Any suggestions or encouragement?

      @@meredithholmes1521 she didn’t care! She wants me to have good quality of life! I told her I did some research and have concerns about 100% estrogen removal and if I could stick with tamoxifen or what my options are. Really I said, “do I have to switch?! I’m worried about having NO estrogen and have read horror stories.”
