Just finished a Geprc Phantom frame build w/ iflight sauccx f4 16x16 aio stack today!!! I said to myself, this is how the Freestyle should have been. Can’t wait to see what emax does..... took a nap...... boom new quad. I freakn love emax.
New to the Drone world. Been a few months now and my first drone was the Zino pro. But I saw a guy freestyle flying a 5 inch and fell in love. He recommended me to start with this one and judging by this review and the comments, he didn't steer me wrong. Thanks guys, for the info. My tinyhawk comes tomorrow, and I can't wait. It was recommended that I do a simulator so I guess I'll try that before flying this one even tho I fly my zino all the time. FPV is a totally different beast from what I hear.
absolutely love my first gen freestyle, was my first quad after the mobula 7. Nearly cried when the FC bricked itself but a reflash had me flying again :)
Had mine for two weeks now wires connected at the motor have no reinforcement and broke on both front motors from a gentle grass “landing” 2.5 mm of shrink tube isnt enough for that angel hair wire on them motors Emax. Highly recommend putting your own reinforcement their before you even fly it. And using three hole layout for the motor mounts doesnt allow you to swap in another motor easily either without drilling. But it flys great and i was very much enjoying it..
I'm still waiting to see what emax builds with those 3.5" props they released recently. They actually leaked them when they put out their 1408 thrust numbers.
Yay I like how you included the Insta360 Go in the review! Well for a second but still. 🤷♂️ Also wondering if you will eventually make a vid explaining how to mount the Insta360 Go on this quad.
Hey bud another question..can I bind this to Taranix x9 lite? I bound the regular THFS but want this newer one but have an x9 lite. Please let me know....I know a lot of poeps that are using that radio...If not what radio do you recommend a regular Taranis x9?

i just ordered a tinyhawk 3 rtf kit, and im rhinking of grabbing one of these once i have gotten the hang of it because ill be able to use the 1s batteries i brought for it. once i get the hang of this one ill think about upgrading my controller and goggles and get something like the crux35

@@ValFPV yeah i have already gone in a different direction..... the remote is what kills me with the TH kits... its horrible.... i would just get some eachine box goggles the betafpv lite radio2 and one of the tinyhawks... i would go race 2 or freestyle 2 myself if i were going this direction

I have 1 question please can you answer. I don't have a PC to set up beta flight. Does this have a switch on the control and can this one be switched to acrobat mode like the other emax drones? I seen a few of the other ones that have that switch ontop to switch to acrobats. I just want to do freestyle and flips and all that right out of the box without needing bets flight. So do I need beta flight to do this stuff?

just bought this! I'm new to FPV...but not new to drones. i will eventually upgrade here and there, get an Insta 360. Also...could you eventually put the O3 air unit on it?

Like the aircraft but mine "exploded" after only a few flights during a normal Bettafilght Air Mode landing. Somewhat bumpy landing but not at all unsual. The SUPPORTS are made from NYLON and stripped out. Pieces and screws went every which way. I'm replacing them with METAL. Lost one of the camera supports during the incident. 3D Printing another one. Having to design it myself. Unable to find one online. Can't wait to get it back in the air. Really performs. Hopefully it will hold up this time after fixing the DESIGN FLAW. 2s is about as big as you want to go on this class aircraft. Have a couple 3s in this size, too awkward.
can you set up Reversed Motor Direction on the Tiny Hawk Freestyle 2? i mean i know you can swap any 2 motor wires on each motor, and setting it up in betaflight, but i am waiting for my in the mail now. wanted to know if there is a way to do it software based as i relly dont wanna tinker with it out the box thx!!!
did you unlock the VTX to get the 200 mL Watts they said it would show 200 milliwatts even if you said it in your goggles but wouldn't truly be unless it's unlocked

Ok, so i followed the procedure for "unlocking" the 200mw on the vtx and when i run get vtx in CLI it says the available values are 0-7 and it's currently set at 3. When i try to set it higher than 3, it defaults back to vtx_power = 0. How can i verify it's outputting 200mw?
Not too sure about the 1s there's nothing in the manual about it and there's no adapter plug for the 1s either... Just in case you guys wanted to know.. Got mine yesterday and still not flown yet..
Hi Justin, I finally got my TinyHawk flying last night! The quad is extremely fast reacting to my Radiomaster sticks, I know I need training on my fingers and mind to fly these small drones but is there any way to reduce responsiveness on the quad to fly in a more comfortable way? I was flying indoor hitting ceilings and walls all the time, if I was outdoors I am sure I lost it at the first eye blink!
Coool!!! i was looking around for the Freestyle, should i buy one? i have bought a second tinyhawk II weeks ago, because the first was litte chewed up from crashing ;) and i started to used it as spare parts. Acro is now so much fun, flips, rolls, gaps, knife edges. Then i saw your other vid about the Freeestyle Upgrade and i thought i could use the old vtx an run cam nano on the freestyle from the old Tinyhawk. but now, Take my money!!! now, i wait until we can buy it here in switzerland :D cant wait to take the next step! I would love to have a 5inch quad but the space to fly thoose is limited and the people complaining about the noise. And i live also near an small Airport, so this new Freestyle II would fit perfect :D
Is the video glitch normal in small non general consumer drones? I am looking for a beginner drone and obviously the DJI is way out there prices wise. Eachine just doesn’t sit well with my research. Also I am going to go out on a limb and ask what controller would I need to go with this unit?

As a beginner, I have to disagree w/you and say this is not a good beginner drone. I've been flying in a sim for close to 100 hrs in acro mode but when I take this quad out in acro, its uncontrollable. You mention the tune is really good and soft...I don't know if they changed something since your review but mine in acro...out of control, super jumpy. I'm bummed because I cant get flight time on this thing so its just a paper weight while I master all of the simulator maps. Great review BTW...it was the reason I purchased this product.
Hi Justin, I finally started flying my THFS it surprises me how quiet it was. it is a great flyer, now for me to fly more than crash, lol. I also need to resaulder my camera plug to the FC so it is LOS for now. Great review on the THFSII it looks like a successor to my current qwad. Happy flying, and *LTRIP!™*

Badass! I really appreciate your review. I've been looking at these for a while and think I just need to jump right into it and get one. I've bought a few drones from walmart and was actually really impressed by one and am glad I got a little bit of flying experience on some cheaper drones, but at the emax price range I don't see any reason in not just going for it now.

I've reset the whole thing on betaflight i got betaflight 10.6.0 as i have been advised thats the one i need to flash my THF2. I am that new I dont understand anything about betaflight. Can u please do a video with a step by step guide on how to get it up and flying again i'm having real trouble. I binded it D8 to my radiomaster, does it bind as D16? whats the difference ?
@@BlkInc1 I order the d8 lbt version from bangood and bind it with my taranis xlite. D16 is no problem to bind and you get telemetry with d16 mode.

Thanks... hadn't seen the LaL3. This looks fun... but different class of quad... and video isn't matching my favorite ($15) 3.5 g 800TVL AIO @ 25mw or the Emax 2in race that has the same cam and VTX I think so wondering about the difference.
Is that fpv using ur phone or independent, I so want to get into this. My most recent drone is dji mini 3 pro but different animals

Ok, so i followed the procedure for "unlocking" the 200mw on the vtx and when i run get vtx in CLI it says the available values are 0-7 and it's currently set at 3. When i try to set it higher than 3, it defaults back to vtx_power = 0. How can i verify it's outputting 200mw?
Please show us what the Insta360 Go footage looks like on it. B.t.w. won't a small CP antenna be better?
love this drone, i put a rush tank vtx in it, and a diff receiver being 8channel out of the box.. 9/10 for sure!

Hi Justin, I finally got my TinyHawk flying last night! The quad is extremely fast reacting to my Radiomaster sticks, I know I need training on my fingers and mind to fly these small drones but is there any way to reduce responsiveness on the quad to fly in a more comfortable way? I was flying indoor hitting ceilings and walls all the time, if I was outdoors I am sure I lost it at the first eye blink!

Coool!!! i was looking around for the Freestyle, should i buy one? i have bought a second tinyhawk II weeks ago, because the first was litte chewed up from crashing ;) and i started to used it as spare parts. Acro is now so much fun, flips, rolls, gaps, knife edges. Then i saw your other vid about the Freeestyle Upgrade and i thought i could use the old vtx an run cam nano on the freestyle from the old Tinyhawk. but now, Take my money!!! now, i wait until we can buy it here in switzerland :D cant wait to take the next step! I would love to have a 5inch quad but the space to fly thoose is limited and the people complaining about the noise. And i live also near an small Airport, so this new Freestyle II would fit perfect :D

Is the video glitch normal in small non general consumer drones? I am looking for a beginner drone and obviously the DJI is way out there prices wise. Eachine just doesn’t sit well with my research. Also I am going to go out on a limb and ask what controller would I need to go with this unit?

what polarity is this drone? i have one on the way as well as skyzone 030 coming, and would like to order some antenna ahead of time just want to make sure i get the right ones. looked like you had a lollipop and something else there?
The rates feel super slow and I have no idea how to improve them. Do you have a PID/Rate profile you recommend to improve performance?

As a beginner, I have to disagree w/you and say this is not a good beginner drone. I've been flying in a sim for close to 100 hrs in acro mode but when I take this quad out in acro, its uncontrollable. You mention the tune is really good and soft...I don't know if they changed something since your review but mine in acro...out of control, super jumpy. I'm bummed because I cant get flight time on this thing so its just a paper weight while I master all of the simulator maps. Great review BTW...it was the reason I purchased this product.
Hi Justin, I finally started flying my THFS it surprises me how quiet it was. it is a great flyer, now for me to fly more than crash, lol. I also need to resaulder my camera plug to the FC so it is LOS for now. Great review on the THFSII it looks like a successor to my current qwad. Happy flying, and *LTRIP!™*

Left stick to the left and right stick up. Takes you in the menu. Change power in there.

Badass! I really appreciate your review. I've been looking at these for a while and think I just need to jump right into it and get one. I've bought a few drones from walmart and was actually really impressed by one and am glad I got a little bit of flying experience on some cheaper drones, but at the emax price range I don't see any reason in not just going for it now.
