they kept the "bingo line" and kept the salazar "script" line, and i was so happy because of that. after finishing the salazar boss fight, i got a "no thanks, bro" ackchivement and i was insanely filled with joy. this game can seriously unlock old memories.
im sad that some people are still mad about the fact that some “iconic” lines from the original game are removed

I love the part when Leon says "We are the 4 Resident Evils" when fighting Krauser, truly a gaming moment of all time
I loved the part where they remade all over the zombies
My favorite part was when saddler said "every resident has its evil" and then stabbed leon 4 times in the chest
I love the part where I made out with 3 greasy buff men
I loved the part where I heard this jokes template repeated a million times, truly a comedy moment of all time.

Making Ashley likeable is a thing I didn’t think they could do, but god damnit they did it.
It’s great to see more awesome remakes this year. Between Dead Space and RE4, I feel like this year is looking pretty bright for remakes.

No one is really talking about how the re4 original should have been given more credit for having a re4 remake… plus his review is really harsh. Talking about re4 original bad movement, stand still to reload, he didn’t even finished the original… I’m sorry but I rather let you know to not let a reviewer ruin your own gaming experience. And please just give games a chance before you give criticism/review.

You didnt mention one of the most important things, Ashley is adorable now and you dont want to shove her into the lake for speaking. The Va's did phenomenal and really breathed a new life into everyone, and just all around was pure polish, as Re2R was.
i’ve yet to play either version but she looks cute as hell
@Morg Boat In the remake she's just really sweet. Really did her justice, and Leon as well. Those two VA's in particular deserve all the praise.

The game may be close to perfect, but this remake will never change the fact that the original RE4 for it's time (and even today) is one of the best action/shooter games of all time, it's so great that I replayed the campaing 2 times just to get the lazer gun, and then proceed to play it once again

No one is really talking about personally how harsh his review on re4 original was. I like both the original/remake improvements but, you don’t really need to talk bad how the re4 original like it’s not the best resident evil game as a franchise. Please don’t let any reviewer ruin your own experience on any game you play.
As someone who played the game in late 2006 it was impressive in every way
Graphics quality Diversity between puzzles, enemies, bosses and the areas you visit
The story of Ida and the mercenary games
Even the negatives you mentioned about the control were very minor compared to what the game offered at that time
Playing this was such a blast. I've already memorized everything about the original, so playing this was such an amazing wave of nostalgia while also giving me a fresh new experience. I can't believe Capcom made a remake of a masterpiece and made it better than the original. 10/10

Calling Outbreak "co-op shooter garbage" will not sit well with decently big parts of the community considering that both games are like, the definitive hidden gem of the series for many, man LMAO
Those games are cool . With some flaws but the concept is still wild and awesome overall.
Outbreak is personally my most favorite zombie co-op game alongside Left 4 Dead, and it's cause it's a completely different take from the other zombie coop games.
Only issue really is that it isn't available elsewhere besides PS2, and the fact that co-op still suffers even with the private servers
re4 already didnt need a remake, and it didnt need it's remake to GO SO HARD

Amazing, a RE4 video when I just completed the OG RE4 for the first time and it become one of my favorite games (I admit it, I used HD Project. But that mod is so good; IF YOU USE IT, TURN ON VULCAN RENDERING SO YOU WON'T GET CRASHED WHEN USING INFRARED SCOPE).
Yes, tank controls and standing still while aiming may be annoying for some people, but not for me. I didn't find those annoying in the slightest and found them adding to the experience; Clunky and archaic mechanics don't bother as much as other people.
Also qte were to be honest not so bad in RE4, if you compere them to God of War 2 qte, RE4 qte were great;, because in GOW2 qte were so horrible, if you didn't respond the second those appeared or clicked something else accidentally, you were fucked (i use that comparison because i played it recently).
But I also prefer originals over remakes because I find them kinda unnecessary and usually remakes kinda kill original atmosphere and game play in name for more mainstream blandness and realistic graphics don't appeal to me and seem to make games worse (i prefer gen 6 graphics or older, or stylized stuff). That being said, RE4R looks good (I still haven't even bought it), and one of my favorite games is remake of HL1 - Black Mesa, but those are outliers for me.
I wholeheartedly agree with you . The remake is cool but is still changed and doesnt really exchange the OG because it has its own ups and even downs.
And i think the Remake was at the end good but not really stand out enough to be the better game . I mean for me it was another third person shooter. And i think Tank-controls arent bad just many people are bad at those games . Maybe outdated but not impossible to play .
And i think camera-angles are much more cooler if those are well-made and even dynamic . But you know , people just wanna play the same Gameplay in different skins and called new games as being better.
Can’t wait for foekoe to play dredge.

Probably the worst thing in this game is the bolt caster and only because of how slow the bolt travels, but it's so useful and so satisfying when it hits at range

I dont think the remake will age as classically as the original. But its also not absolutely awful so theres that.
Its cool that you enjoyed the new one without experiencing the first one
Unlike me and my friends i just wanted to see how they upgraded the bosses and they all didnt went the way i expected like salazar 11 year old became an old woman and still annoying af and the rest like the giant look realistic af and stupid af
But i tried the demo there’s two things i didn’t expect that amazed me
The gameplay is just PERFECT FOR ME (as a sekiro player or souls) maybe at first I missed 20 shots while trying to shot an old man because I probably succ but u can deflect A FKING CHAINSAW
The graphics people don’t appreciate the graphic design of games sometimes this one game feels like u stumbled into an actual forest that has a village inside witch it really is and beautiful so much

Sup foekoe. I suggest you to play clone drone in the danger zone. Its a game i played on steam for like 10 hours and honestly its very fun. The graphics may be a bit choppy but the game itself is very fun.
