To have a good battle mage set is very much needed, like you said there is not much out there that represent battle mages. So many great models here, congrats to you and what an absolutely amazing job Titan Forge did with these sculpts.. Unreal.

great video! i loved the idea of the terrified villagers set! me and my friends used to play peasants back when we still did larp and always enjoyed coming up with stories that the ordinary people would eperience amidst all the knights in shiny armors and secretive elves would experience. would have loved to see the miniatures you and the guys from titan forge would have come up with!
I think I would have voted for the secrets one. I absolutely adore gothic horror and can never get enough of it. The models look awesome though. I do not have the room for a resin printer right now, but when the lockdown ends I will def be ordering some of the models from Titan Forge.
A few cents worth: Lucky you getting to enjoy and help with the creative process. Those sculptors are ace-pants! Thanks for sharing and (importantly so) for painting them, as always beaut vids. I think the reason why the 'terrified' villagers and battle-mages were so popular is the simple narrative created by using a descriptive word (usually an adjective). Imagine if the gladiators had a descriptor like 'steampunk' gladiators, all of a sudden they are more story driven, likewise with the barbarians of the north...meh, so many axe wielding shaggy types out there. but add necromantic jungle psionic crystal barbarians and you have a whole new flavour. Especially love the female 'blue' mage, she is sneaky and not scantily clad. Which brings me to an important hole in the figure market: sassy older women. Males have a great range of ages and various states of undress, women tend to be between 18-28, wearing battle bikinis and pouting. Older women tend to be evil hags. There is a missing market of experienced veteran women from the age of 28 up. Go from typical 'battle maiden' to rare 'veteran lance matron' and you get the potential for sales no other company is fulfilling. These Titanforge guys could easily handle it. I've picked up the brush after 5 or so years and loving all the content out there, started searching figure companies and the list is huge, but the ranges aren't fundamentally that diverse. Yet another horned demon, yet another axe dwarf (which is why axe Gandalf is so great!), yet another skinny vampire. What about: Mass grave undead, where corpses of ancient undead have fused together, two ghouls pierced together with a lance, a pile of skeletons staggering around together. A fat gluttonous vampire drinking buckets of blood. Single example: headless skeleton holding it's head in one hand, clinging off it's shield is another skeleton, just the torso wielding a weapon, bad battle buddies with a whole narrative behind them. Sculpts that don't exist, anywhere. A whole new 'race': asian inspired dragonborn, with the beautiful whiskered Chinese dragon, serpentine curves, humanoid. You could add Kirin and classic asian lion style heads too. Another: more insectoid races, plenty of barbaric mantis warriors out there, but add a robe and some civilising accoutrements and it transforms them. Also what about halfling sized beetle chaps? Any of these could cross into pulp games and even edge toward tyranid cross breeds. Finally Celtic inspired monsters, but in the classic curlicue style, you know, the knotted multi headed dogs and beasts, this would appeal to the historic figure market too. Thanks to you and Titanforge for all your hard work. And keep the adjectives flowing!

An “all apprentices” set would be great. There’s the obvious utility for D&D’s new Strixhaven setting, but they’d also be great for apprentices in ‘Frostgrave,’ low-level spellcasters in ‘Oathmark,’ or any number of other uses. Another fun idea might be to revisit a line that Ral Partha (IIRC) had in the late Eighties of doing a low-level/mid-level/epic-level trio of the same character.
