    I just replaced my actuator with City Diesel's actuator. 100% recommend! City Diesel was great to deal with & this product works. I'm not a great mechanic but I can usually figure things out and this job was actually pretty easy. Watch a few of these videos and you be fine. 2017 Ram 2500. My actuator was failing intermittently. Jake & turbo wouldn't work when it was in fall mode. As soon as I installed new actuator, check engine light went out and truck finally operates correctly.

      I see that you commented 3 months ago, is your truck still running good since slapping on the city diesel actuator?, I just ran into this issue with 2016 Ram 2500 and looking into this actuator.

      @RockyMtnWay_406 Год назад

      @@k5blazn yes, actually .. everything is working just perfectly now. I was a little intimidated by the project at first, but after watching several videos and studying, I knew I could get it done. Only part that I was really worried about was the main allen bolts stripping or breaking. I got everything ready then one night, I removed the wheel and tire and fender liner, sprayed the allen bolts to let them sit overnight. Then I dove in the next morning and was test driving by 11 and I wasn't rushing. Remember, 25 INCH POUNDS on the marrying of the two blocks before assembly.

    Installed my actuator today on 2014 ram 2500 after receiving codes U010C P00AF and P003A
    Amazing, my turbo and exhaust break are as good as new! Hardest thing about the install was draining my radiator of coolant. I am so thankful and pleased at the ease of install. Thank you City Diesel and DDP.

    I had little to no turbo boost. I pulled my actuator and checked the shaft movement, was fine. I ordered an actuator from City Diesel and WOW! Totally night and day difference from the stock actuator. The exhaust brake works fine and NO calibration required!! These actuators are awesome! Completely satisfied!

    • @johnnyturbo8460

      @@alaska-bornfloridaman yes, I ended up buying the Turbo Actuator from Genos Garage and it fixed my problem. I installed it myself. Fairly easy fix. You WILL need a ratcheting 10mm wrench to make it much easier. It helps get to the lower left Allen bolt. And you will need to drain the coolant. A stubby 16mm wrench helps
      My truck only had 100k miles when I got the code.
      Hopefully they have the actuator in stick. I had to wait 3 weeks for them to make some and another few days for it to get to me by mail

    2014 Ram 3500 4x4 with 73,000 miles bought used with 38,000 miles. I always thought it was dead pedal issue and at times exhaust brake wouldn't always work with my trailer. I LOVE the exhaust brake and can't even understand why someone would even consider a delete. I bought my new actuator from Geno's garage which was said to be backordered 2 months but got it in 1 month. The dealer sells a remanufactured actuator for $1500, I bought the Geno's garage version(Diesel City) $900 New with double the torque without the need to be calibrated. A no brainer like changing my Y radiator fitting with a billet 1 piece verses buying another mopar plastic that failed prematurely like the actuator

      Hey daniel, Clayton here with DDP Motorsports. The actuator code can come and go in the beginning stages. Do the proper checks on the turbo to make sure the turbo is not the issue ( which i don't believe it is ) and then you can safely assume it will more then likely be the actuator. Very rarely is it the turbocharger.

      On my 2017 I found that my Jake brake and turbo would work when I start the truck up but then soon after it would fail and then I would lose my Jake and my turbo but then if I shut the truck off wait a little bit turn it back on usually it would start working again. That was my symptoms and this new actuator has fixed that.

    Hey bro, just had a frame swap done in a '16 ram 2500 6.7. The shop shit the bed on the entire install so bad it needs to be torn apart and put back together correctly. My question is, from the moment I picked it up it had extremely slugging acceleration, a high pitch screech when I accelerate, and no exhaust brakes. Could the turbo or actuator be damaged during this type of repair? It wasn't like that at all prior to, and seems too coincidental especially considering the slop work on every other element of the build (half of the parts are zip ties to other parts)

    so is it most likely the actuator when its very hit or miss? like when the truck runs perfectly fine and then say within 20-30mins of driving the truck just doesnt have that boost down low and just starts to run alittle louder (almost like when a diesel has to regen). Exhaust brake wont work during this problem... but then i can shut off my truck and within any length of time, an hour later/same day when i go to use it again it works 100%? ive noticed that when i idle more or go slower/low rpms it acts more, but if i go on a long trip down the highway say even drive 2000 miles at much higher rpms it wont act up once... this issue has been going on for nearly 15,000 miles or more. has pretty much all the same turbo codes you listed...

      From what we have seen from many of our customers is that the issue can in fact be a hit or miss type situation. We have many customers that have told us they have been driving for over a year with similar issues and they have been skating by either resetting the codes or disconnecting the batteries to reset the codes/truck. More then likely it will be the actuator but, feel free to call/contact us anytime so we can better help determine your issue. You can call anytime or email 866-895-3833 Ext. 1 for myself ( Clayton ) or email us at ddpmotorsports@outlook.com and we will do our best to help ya out.

    While towing uphill, I got the p2262. Nothing changed. 28psi, brake still works. I cleared it, and it hasn't come back on. From what you're saying, it sounds like my turbo is going.
