Guess the knife was salvaged from some kind of fire by the black tary residue on the handle and the way the rust build up... well and that the rivets still sat in the handle
Lmfao!!!! So right before your video I watched a gut spend a month making a knife like that frome scratch.. I personally would rather have the one you just restored!!!! Awesome work dude!!! Awesome!
These I Love Viewing A Lot !!! Check This View Out !!! I Love The Metal Attachments Above&Below The Stone Handle Parts On The Knife Restoration!!! This Is One Of The Better Best Restoration Crafting Knifesmiths On RUclips In The Collection Of Knifesmiths Out Here !!! Great Job !!!
How many different channels do you have? I can tell that you are commenting on your own videos under different channel names because anyone who knows anything would know that this was a staged knife it was a new knife that he intentionally caused to have surface rust so that he could easily "restore" it if you have ever watch any other videos on the internet you have seen some exactly like this so this is not any better or worse than any of those but there are many that are far better than this because they actually take a real old knife that is pitted and has real rust from sitting outside for decades instead of in ferric chloride for an hour.
When all the handle work is finished, the polishing/buffing final stage is so rewarding - the handle still looks a mess but buff, polish, wipe it down- BAM, the beauty of the material you use, especially beautiful wood, just emerges like magic.
@@chrisshore5340 right, doesn't matter, once you grind/sand off the epoxy and extra material, buff, polish it up, the final finished handle looks great, very rewarding - like I said, especially if you use a pretty wood with nice color/grain that jumps out when polished up, nothing wrong with micarta or other materials, same effect, but few compare to a beatiful wood, especially burl handle imo., it's all cloudy and dull then you hit the buffing/polishing wheels and BAM, the colors and grain just appear like magic.
You show us a great job here. What kind of wood did you use in the handle? Sie zeigen uns hier einen tollen Job. Welche Art von Holz haben Sie im Griff verwendet?
It's entertaining but it's a plant. What u use to get that beautiful surface rust? Muriatic? Ospho? Come on tell me. Idk how hard it is to polish a turd but I bet it's easier when u created the turd
I'm calling bullshit on this restoration, 1, where in the world do you find a piece of metal that badly rusted with no pitting whatsoever after just sanding? 2, why would you reharden a knife that is that old, the metal would be so brittle after a second hardening it would break and chip. 3, where do you find an old knife that has no edge on it whatsoever like it is a blank to make a knife out of? In the first picture he shows after the cleaning the rust off, it was pitted all over too bad to get a mirror polish on it like he did. The biggest give away was how thick the edge was on the blade after enhardening, and after he did sharpen it, the blade had no more wear on it than a brand-new knife would.
An old saying you might want to remember! If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all. A more modern take for you is Quit being a troll. If you think you can do better show it. Where's your channel? I've never seen anything by you the Russian master knife Smith. I wonder why?

Gee, that electrolysis sure did a great job removing that ‘rust effect’ paint!
I was thinking the same thing.
You can tell when he cut the rivets out that the steel underneath was almost brand new
Guess the knife was salvaged from some kind of fire by the black tary residue on the handle and the way the rust build up... well and that the rivets still sat in the handle
Excellent restoration....

One of the best restorations I seen. Great job!

Wow! That was a restoration that only a Master Restorer could do. I'm very impressed

except it wasn't wood.

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Stunning job 👏👏👏👏
Why did he use a wire cutter in the beginning just use a normal set of pliers
Come on bennet lets party
That blade was no where near hot enough when he heat treaded it
Daryl dixon would love this guy
Wow, so beautiful!!!
I'm still wondering why he retempered the blade of a perfectly good knife. The fake rust was just funny.
Why do so many of these channels deliberately cause rust, so they can show themselves "restoring"?! Theres plenty of legitimately rusted crap...
Did you find a knife in your chicken coop
you used some substance into water at electrolysis rust removing proces? nice work 👍
Waw😍
It's entertaining but it's a plant. What u use to get that beautiful surface rust? Muriatic? Ospho? Come on tell me. Idk how hard it is to polish a turd but I bet it's easier when u created the turd
I like the handle tho good job.
Cutting things a little closer to shape would have saved a LOT of sanding.
I’m no expert, but I don’t think you can get steel hot enough in a wood fire to harden it. Just sayin
Opinion ignored, video watched.
On an old knife blade are you supposed to put anything on the blade to fill in the divots?
Trotzdem cooles Video.
Ummmm where was the electrolysis? It takes a circuit to create electrolysis
“That would be $3,000 sir”
Well at least you didn't wreck a decent knife.
Di rendam dengan air apa itu bang

Why are you hardening the knife its already a knife
Rambo Knife?
Wow, awesome video, thanks) Like and sub to you)
Is this fake???

Thanks, glad to know not everyone here is a dumbass lol.
Very nice, a lot of hard work
Rambo's ex

SELL IT TO ME
