Wow all that rust and yet that super fine edge is perfect. What are the odds? 99.99999% of edges would be pitted but you found the .000001% that isn't. This is definitely not fake at all.
What a turn out on that Bowie knife I want it lol. And a Big thanks for what a lot of others don't bother when welding thanks for thinking of our eyes and hiding the glaring brightness
How long did you leave it out before restoring? Cant be that long considering it was in quite an okay state in comparison to other ”very rusty knives” here on youtube.
if you place high carbon steel in white vinegar for a week it will look exactly like this blade did when he started. The "corrosion" that was on this blade was too easy to scrape off and the steel was not pitted enough for it to be naturally corroded
@@McPhersonPatriot I found a pretty decent restoration channel called Screws and tools . He even has videos of the flea markets he finds his stuff at gives it more credibility than most these channels.
My grandpa still had his from ww2 when he was stationed in Burma with a nice holster, that and a machete …we kept the knife when he passed as he had continued its use as a letter opener and disposed of the machete appropriately.
After the knife had been going through electrolysis for 8.5 hours, I can very well understand why you called it 'Worm Water!' Lol. Definitely looked like some worms had been boiled in it! Lol.
I love these videos. Excellent job. I know nothing about restoration so with that said, why wouldn’t you use a sand blasting machines to get it down to metal?
I’d bet my life you took a new-ish blade and let it rust so you could make a restoration video. The thing was structurally sound, even the cutting edge. Fake! An actual blade that was out in nature rusting for years would not be the same exact size after restoration. Again, FAKE!!!!
looks awful familiar if you check Amazon for bowie blade blanks. That knuckle notch just before the tang narrows to a rattail is a dead giveaway. Props for that haft, tho, it's a beaut. Also, polished the blade to a mirror finish.
I dont know where you find all this rusty crap. Do You purposefully rust things to make these videos? If so I would like to know what solution you use. Salt water etc. Thank You
If your knife is not a full tang you r not using a good knife... Cause this kind of knife often useless when you r using it for a real life situations... But for a showcase it's a good choice though
Your best work yet, in my opinion!
Excellent video and great work.

He painted the rust on least most of it

Thats exactly what I was thinking!
That’s one of the nicest-looking knives I’ve seen in ages. Well done.
That is an awesome job if I had not seen the restoration I would not have believed it was that bad at first.
A magnificent restoration. Bravo!
Beautiful as it is, I am still disturbed that you didn't straighten out the tang.
Well done 💯❤️
I've never seen somone make a bolster that way! amazing! 12:00

Beautiful restoration of that knife
Wow! That’s a beauty, I love a big bowie👌
Like Crocodile Dundee said: That's a knife :)
Not a knife. This is a knife!
Now thats a proper knoife.😆
Oh heck yeah!! That was a great video. Really enjoyed it.
You transform that rusty knife good as new.

Big, badass blade! Bruh...
Excelente. Saudações do Brasil.
What is that powder and what is "worm" water?
Perfect.
Amazing job!

No worms were harmed in making this video!
Be patient. I guess, English is not his mother tongue. Please take account of this.

where do you get your worm water from?
I think he meant warm water but he misspelled it
@@Sorc3rerKiller pretty sure he meant worm.
@@Sorc3rerKillernah its worm

Genuine question; why don’t restorers ever go straight to a wire wheel when removing rust/scale of this magnitude?
Electrolysis makes for a cooler video.
Very nice job.
Odlicno odradjeno sve Portable
Perfect.
Very cool.😊
Excellent result.
I just liked it. The scenes and transitions I will try to do on my channel (soft close-ups).
We are together.💯🛠 ❤
EPIC ‼️
Süper 😮😮😮❤❤❤❤
Nice results.
very well done
Cool always 😎
Nice work. You made an impressive knife from rusty scrap.
It’s perfect
that blade was way to clean, after removing the rust.
that rust was put on there. practically no pitting , no eating away.
nice knife any way.
awww heck yeah
Warm
Amazing transformation 👌
very very nice. I will subscribe ad click like. I've see some of your other work and you are a pleasure to watch.
Looks like its in too good of shape under the rust. I feel like it was diy rusting on the blade.
Why not use a wire wheel for initial rust removal?
Some of these restorations are a joke. But this is some mighty fine work here.
Much rust, minor pitting 🤔
👏👏
What’s worm water?

agreed. probably placed in apple cidar or white vinegar for a week. not enough pitting and the corrosion was to easily scraped for it to be natural
Now dat's a noife!!!
The Dundee Special. For crocodile steaks, skin-on, bone in.
Anyone know what "worm" water is?
2:25 worm water :D it turned into one in seconds
That was a thin surface layer of rust at best...
worm water?
put in zeb toilet bowl acid for a week works better than any rust taker offer
El mango no gusto...no tenia muchos años...maso
I like worms in my water to clean knifes
I dont know where you find all this rusty crap. Do You purposefully rust things to make these videos? If so I would like to know what solution you use. Salt water etc. Thank You
place steel in white vinegar for a week and you'll have the same effect

Worm water
... er... "worm" water???...oops!...
Why not making a video about applying artificial "rust" and how to make such colourful clickbait photos?
Ugh, I feel at risk of getting tetanus just LOOKING at that thing.
electrolysis for nothing this is so stupid!
Restoration? Far from it. If you restore you do not alter the original design. 😩
Fake. That amount of REAL rust would have pitted the metal to oblivion
lol so fake
