Fantastic job on this knife. You are truly a wonderful Craftsman/Artist. This project came out amazing. Thank you for sharing your video. I really enjoyed watching it. Looking forward to seeing your next one 😀 Stay safe and stay healthy
I think I'd have put the flat plate onto the blade directly, and not even bothered with the metal sleeve. It would allow a longer blade handle, without giving up strength.
This is a Japanese Short Sword, not a Japanese kitchen knife. There should have been a wooden sword sheath. Its common name is “DOSU”.… A must-have Item for YAKUZA. Yakuza Sato uses it in the first half of the Movie “BLACK RAIN”.… American Movie released in 1989.
If I look closely at a short sword, I think the sword has a thin blade. It's probably not a Japanese short sword. From the shape of the blade, I think it is a Japanese short sword made in another country. I'm sorry if my view is wrong.
Definitely not made like traditional Japanese blades. The habaki is basically just a piece of metal sheet folded over the blade. The new one he made is better but still missed a couple of things.
When all else fails, use a chisel.
Wow amazing beautiful idea 👌✌️ thanks my friend 👍👍👍👍👍

@@MrLegionRex
Excelente trabalho 👏👏👏🇧🇷

Nice waki aka wakizashi now it needs a sheath

Perfect restoration and work mate ! Keep going !

It's fake.

Dagger for seppuku.
we call this kind of knife DOSU
YAKUZA uses this weapon in close fight
In that time they showt ONDORYAAA!!
curious as to why you don't trim the rough handle first before shaping/sanding...
I have often wondered about that with videos where wood is shaped.
Thank you
Good effort. A Tantō is not supposed to have a tsuba.

This is not a Japanese Short Sword. It's a Foreign-Made Knife. The balance between the Blade and Handle is not a Short Sword. It's a Long Knife.
No offense but why would the old handle will get rust? Its a peice of wood isn't it
Sir ..whit all my respect...can that knife...for me...please...it will be honor sir ...i really need that..im sorry before...

Look are more like Katana...
One minute in and you just ruined it the blade

I believe you are correct sir, "Black Rain"🙏

Too much Ads in this video 😑

Fake restorations.
Artificial rust.
Where is the sheathe?
That blade is bad bro
Need a good knife for hotel, can u help me???
all your Restorations...have the same rust on them....!....did you find them in the same place ?......its just bs.......
So! I haven't noticed that kind of crud in old metal objects, although I've seen a lot of them. And here: everywhere!

No pitting. Another fake restoration channel.
It's so obvious even from his thumbnails.. all the rust is the same vibrant color.. that's not how rust forms naturally... so silly
Ridiculous
