Always a highlight of the year when Jody posts his Top 10 AliExpress Mid-Year Sale video with a few GMT's I hope to see reviewed in upcoming videos. Great work Jody! 👍
The Pagani 1957, ( Blue face w/ bracelet) is in my cart. It's the exact type and style chronograph I've been looking for. I almost bought the Pagani "Sport/Panda" Chronograph which I also like and still may purchase in the "Summer Sale". This is one reason why I love your channel. You show a wide variety of watches which I most likely wouldn't have seen otherwise. Thanks.
I have the 10$ Skmei, and it is certainly no garbage. Swimming with it for two years now, and everything's perfect. Of course, never challenged it unfairly by operating the buttons under water.
I've been following JOMW for years and this Ali-X mid-year sale list is a real banger. Like its endearing host, I need "just one more watch" like I need another hole in my head, but I love dual register chronographs and for only $65 USD with voucher, #5 on steel bracelet with with matte black dial will be a great "beater" counterpart for my Tudor M79350 Black Bay chrono (the Pagani is more of an Omega homage but has a very similar vibe to my first-run Tudor pre-panda"Baytona"). I just pulled the proverbial trigger, got a screaming good deal, and supported JOMW without paying a penny more. Many thanks!
The Baltany Type A is one of my favourites. It's a cracker. For the summer, I have just moved it off the brown & cream Barton elite on to an olive green version....looks fantastic.
Just my opinion of course, but I think the dress version of the Addiesdive does the most justice to that unusual dappled water dial pattern. Especially in the Tiffany blue. Eye catching yet somehow also understated - very classy! And not that your viewers likely need my endorsement, but +1 on Baltany's mid-century military style watches. I adore my sub-seconds, non-chronograph version, the one that the watch community calls the "Dirty Dozen". Except I call it the "Joel Miller", which is the reason I bought it. Bonus points to anyone who gets that reference. ;) Love your enthusiasm, Jody!
Your videos have always had great content and this one continues in that vein. I was impressed with (IMHO) a great improvement in production quality. Keep up the good work and all the best for the future .
Literally a week ago i ordered Pagani Design daytona homage , it was on some random crazy sale + some discounts and i got it for 40$ ! Keeping in mind that i live in EU so that 40$ also includes all taxes and what not.
An excellent list Jody.. When you mentioned that the Seestern comes in at only 96........ I got excited as I thought you were going to say dollars next......but it was grams. 😂
This was an excellent list! And I really do appreciate the "conversation starter" comment on the Pindu. Sometimes the conversation is worth every penny spent (or saved).
Great list as usual. I don’t really like blue watches either, but I’ve always like blue Tudors, Pelagos, BB58, etc. I picked up the SM SN121G (Blue/Date) early from a site that was offering them for a price I couldn’t resist. And it’s unbelievable. The on the fly clasp is a game changer. Looking forward to all the upcoming reviews!
I recently bought San Martin's 012 and I love it. Blue no date. 300m water resistance. On the fly adjustment. It's an awesome watch and it cost me 208.00 USD. Quite the value. Also the the SN0111 and the 012 both have 300m water resistance. Cheers, Jody.
I have the specht and sohne aquanaut, one of the best watches I own. I also own the pindu wandering hour, the sport version and it's officially my favorite watch I own, the finishing is amazing, surprisingly thin and the movement is pretty reliable if not a bit noisy. For the sale price I think it's one of the best steals on the website.
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that the items in their carts have just gone up 40% .....and now I'm supposed to get excited about a 15-20% reduction !!!
Jody, what about the new gmt pagani, all gold with the jubilee strap? Definitely want to add this one to the collection after the new Rolex was released. Cheers
Most of those Pindu watches you showed I recognized as copies of Jacob & Co. designs, like the Astronomia and Roulette. Some versions of the Astronomia sell for $1 million USD.
I wouldn’t recommend ‘Specht & Söhne’. I’ve seen them come with Patek Philipe branded bracelets/clasps. These are simply rebranded replicas (something people incorrectly say about a lot of Chinese homages, but in this case it’s true)
I wish Ali Express watch makers used solar quartz movement instead of regular quartz. I would have gone for most of those quartz ones if they were solar.
wow That Lobbini looks amazing hope you do an in depth review , the movement looks amazing they used to make micro rotors years ago to me makes sense esp in todays market as people love to see the movement with the display casebacks
I almost pulled the trigger on that first one - the San Martin new GMT original design on the beads of rice bracelet. I pulled back when a review of this watch showed a gap between clasp and bracelet that you can "drive a truck through". Their on-the-fly clasp doesn't seem to pair well with their BOR bracelet. Hopefully they come out with a custom clasp for that watch. Thanks for the great info.
The Pindu! I got one last week and I like it .Just wish the numbers were darker and more visible. Ive tried to change the strap but the holes are so close to the case I gave uo
Great show, thanks Jody. Those Baltany are cool! Btw, that Skmei looks a lot like that Casio ae1500 that no one seems to review (I have two: closest thing to the watches in the Gravity movie that I could find, despite the fact that I don't think LCD works in space....) 👍😊
I bought the Seestern and there is a huge gap in the clasp! I understand they have "fixed" it by drilling another hole in the clasp! I'm looking forward to your review to see what you think.
That seiko chrono movement can not be adjusted or recalibrated if it is missaligned like other quartz chrono movements can. A quartz chrono movement can get missaligned with a simple battery swap.
I've had some similar Skmei watches, for the large digits to glance quickly during track runs. They last a decent while (years) before the strap dries out and or otherwise falls apart. I like this new one, and my own Skmei just died so I tossed it.
@@BetaaNerd Yeah, that happened to me with 2 or 3 such. If they'd come with a spare strap, I might still be on the first or second, as they batteries are some wicked free energy technology, most likely.
I have to join in and recommend the San Martin 'Black Bay Pro' with the NH34! Got my V1 as it released and man, that thing is so tough to beat, I like it even more than the original because it's slimmer and the orange is much more saturated. The V2 has applied indicies as well, so that's a nice bonus. And the Pagani Moonwatch. Hot damn, that new V5 in red and white is so gorgeous and matches my Suzuki Swift Sport perfectly, lol! And do you have any news on San Martin making more of the mentioned Pelagos 39? Because I can not find any listings for it anymore, sadly... That thing is just my style, no sunburst dial or bezel insert and 39mm case, just what I wanted from the actual Tudor! Much love from Germany, Jody
I own the white Addies Williard. It's really a great looking watch, and stands out with the stainless bezel, which really complements the dial well. Its a good buy!
That first San Martin GMT colourway reminds me of the Lander IV from Farer, a watch I might add I really want, so very tempted. I own the more dressy Addiesdive in your list (with water effect) and in some lights the blue AR coating really makes it look like water. Not without it's minor faults but a very nice watch, and much cheaper than a similarly dialed GS. Actually, in the sale I found the watch for under 100€ taxes included, which is an absolute bargain (for the dressy version).
I've got the SKMEI, and it's a great watch just as you describe. I use it when I'm airsofting (it looks suitably military) or when I'm playing 5-a-side footy (reasonably smooth so it's not going to hurt anyone). Decent, and super value.
I really wish San Martin returned to their old branding with the all-letter "San Martin" applied logo on the dial. The hexagon (especially when not transparent) logo creates a very dominant geometrical shape that usually clashes with the indices and creates much clutter. To me it is a very deterring factor for buying and i actually sold the one SM watch i had because of that reason. Couldn't look past it no matter how i tried...
In German, the "S" is probounced "Sh" If it stands before a "P" or a "T". So it's pronounced "Shpecht". 😊 Same goes for Steinhart, Stowa, Stührling, Stern etc. Btw, Specht is the woodpecker. Specht und Sonne is therefore woodpicker and sun 😊
Well, I'd recommend anyone looking for a quartz beater to look at the Berny Titanium model powered by a 4 ticks/s Seiko VH31 and styled after the Seiko 5 SNK. Great little watch and a shame Jody has not featured It in his channel yet.
Looking forward to the upcoming content 😊😊😊. Can't wait. I've looked at AliExpress watches, but often backed out. A couple of I&W or Baltany may be my start.
I wish a lot of these options existed as I got into the hobby! I have too many watches and my fiancé would kill me if I bought another however some really cool pieces
Sell some off and use that money for a new one. Making more room in your watch box and not spending "new" money should keep you from sleeping on the couch. 🙂
Interesting selection! Did you ever buy a Mini Focus 0032G? I bought one off ali maybe 6 years ago, green based camouflage dial. Eventually I sold it, then maybe a year or two later discovered it had been a homage of a Bulova Harley-Davidson, I bought the Harley watch. Going forward a few years to the present, a few days ago, I ordered two more of the 0032G's, a sand based camouflage version and a black version, only US$8.47 each before postage. No world shattering watches, but great for the price. They are off the other divison, Alibaba, don't know if they are still anywhere on Aliexpress?
I'm a bit behind, but I'm picking up the Seagull 1963 ( the cheaper one), and the red Pagani speedy. Not on this list but because I've seen them here before.
im looking to buy the pindu casino one, I believe its an "homage" of the jacob and co designs, which i love, but wll never be able to afford. glad to hear you were impressed, im always reluctant to spend on aliexpress and didnt find much research
I've got a few classics I still need to get and am looking at; Baltany automatic dirty dozen, Cronos Sub with PT5000 & glide lock from your top 10 video, the Lobinni micro-rotor featured in this video, Seestern 62MAS, Seestern Explorer2 Steve McQueen, Sugess Chrono with swanneck and ST19, Sugess genuine moonphase and a couple more. Some this sale, some 11.11 and hopefully the rest next year. I got a few originals and micro-brands I want to get.
Great list! I’m surprised to see that you excluded the new Seestern GMT given your professed proclivities for this style design in the past… Keep it up!
Hey Jody, I was able to get a Skmei for $2.14 including shipping !!! That must be a record.
Always a highlight of the year when Jody posts his Top 10 AliExpress Mid-Year Sale video with a few GMT's I hope to see reviewed in upcoming videos. Great work Jody! 👍

@Vatazhka it's a bit inferior. About 24-26 seconds per month.
@Vatazhka In my experience there are usually qualify control issues, but this one is one of the only exceptions.
I've been following JOMW for years and this Ali-X mid-year sale list is a real banger. The roulette watch is cleary inspired by a certain Jacob & Co. watch but it saves you around a million dollars!!😳
Seriously! But I'd like to see a video of the watch actually RUNNING.
The Baltany Type A is one of my favourites. It's a cracker. For the summer, I have just moved it off the brown & cream Barton elite on to an olive green version....looks fantastic.

i ordered citizen pro master for less than 45e..i dont have them yet,but i doubt its gonna be citizen pro master..))
An excellent list Jody.. When you mentioned that the Seestern comes in at only 96........ I got excited as I thought you were going to say dollars next......but it was grams. 😂
Still a sexy prospect. I've never handled a titanium watch in that style...but am intrigued.
I got the Seestern 62mas on your recommendation before, it's one of my favourite watches. That titanium is going in the cart!
This was an excellent list! And I really do appreciate the "conversation starter" comment on the Pindu. Sometimes the conversation is worth every penny spent (or saved).
That San Martin looks like a winner… I think I will make it my fourth purchase from the brand. Great list, Jody. Thanks!
The Baltany looks the best in your lineup....thanks for this one !
Great list as usual. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that the items in their carts have just gone up 40% .....and now I'm supposed to get excited about a 15-20% reduction !!!
big thanks Jody! my fave is the I&W. its stunning!
That San Martin GMT - which fortunately isn't a copy - and the Baltany chronograph are the stars in my opinion.
That Balcony looks great looking forward to that.
It’s that time of year again!! AliExpress sale time 🎉
Love it, Jody! Your videos are always a pleasure.
Jody, what about the new gmt pagani, all gold with the jubilee strap? Definitely want to add this one to the collection after the new Rolex was released. Cheers
been waiting for this video Jody! Perfect timing! From Brisbaneeee
Most of those Pindu watches you showed I recognized as copies of Jacob & Co. designs, like the Astronomia and Roulette. Some versions of the Astronomia sell for $1 million USD.
Toasty toast back in Blighty, it's actually broken into the double figures in Scotland and the snow has thawed.
I wouldn’t recommend ‘Specht & Söhne’. I’ve seen them come with Patek Philipe branded bracelets/clasps.
These are simply rebranded replicas (something people incorrectly say about a lot of Chinese homages, but in this case it’s true)
I have the Specht&Sohne copy of the Tissot PRX with the waffle dial in blue and I can confirm they make some amazing pieces for the money.
The Specht & Sonne looks very interesting! Also the Pagani might make it in to the basket!!
Wow, I actually like the I&W for something to wear to the office.
I wish Ali Express watch makers used solar quartz movement instead of regular quartz. I would have gone for most of those quartz ones if they were solar.

I've had the Lobini micro rotor in my cart for a while, I just want that movement but I wish they had more dial options.
That seiko chrono movement can not be adjusted or recalibrated if it is missaligned like other quartz chrono movements can. A quartz chrono movement can get missaligned with a simple battery swap.
Instant love for the Lobbini, I'm buying that today
Wait until Monday then it will be cheaper.
I've had some similar Skmei watches, for the large digits to glance quickly during track runs.
They last a decent while (years) before the strap dries out and or otherwise falls apart.
I like this new one, and my own Skmei just died so I tossed it.
I can second this, had an older skmei which went through hell and the strap ended up breaking in half after 5 years

Seestern 62mas 38mm, recently more than 200euro, now 138euro in sale !!

I love the last 2 watches

What a great list Jody, such a change from all the usual suspects... For me, the Baltany or the S&S, or...
decent value watches during ever more price hikes from seiko 🔥👌
That Pelagos from San Martin is a real winner, but hard to come by! Good show as always...
I like the Pindu, it's unique.
Yes, Pindu is on some strong drugs to take inspiration from a Greubel Forsey GMT or Jacob roulette wheel for that price
To be honest - I rarely dive through time zones anyway.... looking forward to the I&W (and Lobinni for that matter).
I ordered the "Omega 57" with black dial. Im very tempted to get an automatic chronograph but not sure if I can trust Surgees?
Jody how do you feel about aesop watches? was thinking about the tourb.
Hey Jodi! We need a review of that San Martin! I would be much appreciated mate. Love your videos
I like the Lobinni microrotor watch, but be careful better go for the white. I've seen pictures suggesting the black one is actually washed out grey
Nice list Jody. I've reviewed a few of these, for my eye on a couple of others and some I've not actually seen before.
The Pindu is nuts! Spinning rotor on the back too.
@@JustOneMoreWatch Yeah it really is.
