Youd be surprised like yea mostly no, but people in the car scene are like that plent of times youll see some guy pull up in a lambo to a car meet and start checking out hondas and Subarus when you have a passion for something you can always appreciate and respect the people that are just getting into it and buying what they can afford
The Duro is my main watch and has been my daily for the past 2 years! Absolutely fantastic. Putting a metal silver wristband for 20 bucks is a must to bring this watch to life! It will scratch somewhat easily but it's so cheap that it doesn't matter. If anything it's a great looking watch that's waterproof and you won't be scared to wear it!
SOOO TRUE ... ITS SOO ANNOYING AND IDIOTIC. so many channels say this, but seiko 5s haven't been 100 bucks for a while now. it's time to quit that shit
I have 7 watches, with the Casio Duro being the cheapest. However, I wear that watch every day and will get a decent amount of compliments on it. I have the one with the blue face and blue bezel. I also replaced the rubber with a stainless steel band that only cost about $20, making the watch cost about $70. By far my cheapest watch, but it’s become an every day wear.
I have all but one of these watches, and they’re all as awesome as is stated. Just an fyi for the Timex: their cases are brass, obviously. So if you know your way around a Dremel, you can peel the coating off and polish the very light brass into something that no one has seen before and it looks incredible and will patina with time.
Cool idea. Similarly, the Waterbury series and the Mk 1 for example have some models with coated stainless steel cases. I wonder how it looks underneath.
@@saptarshimozumdar1657 every Expedition Scout I've ever seen has a plated brass case. Steel starts at Expedition Sierra, afaik, although confusingly, even some Expedition North Sierra models are also in plated brass. Sellers will sometimes misstate the case material, and even Timex's official site, if you use the "stainless steel" filter, will show you a brass watch if it just has a stainless steel band, and sometimes not even that. It'll show you a brass watch with a leather band, and you check the specs and the back, and it's definitely not steel. A sure giveaway is if the back says "stainless steel back." If it's a steel case, the back will say so, because that's a selling point.
The Casio DW 5600bb-1 is such a cool watch to own. It's sturdy, water resistant, and fits my wrist perfectly. The only thing I am annoyed about at times is that the light button is buried too far into the bezel that it's hard to press. I knew visibility was an issue at certain angles, but that was the cost I was willing to pay for such a cool-looking watch.
Wow, incredible shots, incredible writing and incredible watch picks. They better be paying you for these cause I’m fully picking up a couple based on your video alone. Fantastic work.
Impeccable list. I'd like to add a few that I've got for under $100 and have been happy with, from Wenger/Swiss Military. The Seaforce is a dive watch specced much like the Duro. You can find it for $75-$100-- which is more than the Duro, but with better lume and a nicer silicone strap, and it says "Swiss Made" on it, which is worth a few bucks, right? And for about half that, there's the much more modern looking "Urban Metropolitan" in several colorways. Both have an upgraded sapphire coated mineral crystal that has passed my accidental field testing (barking my wrist against various solid objects).
Amazing selection. Had the stealthy G-Shock and STILL have the SNXF05...such a looker. Switched the bracelet for a red distressed leather strap with white stitching and it's amazing. Great work on the video and research ❤
@@karthik77-5 100%. it's my daily driver for most things. First thing I did though was replace the wristband with a red and black fabric one from amazon, as I really disliked the stock one. Aside from that, I've been wearing it near daily.
Casio Royale and Duro MDV-107 it's what I have for daily usage..Royale is perfect for daily beater, Duro is great for daily wear. We can separate watch snob and enthusiast from their perspective for the brand like Casio. Good review by the way from you guys!
In my humble opinion the best automatic watch in this price range is the seiko snxs73. It is really similar to the watch you had in this video. The only thing that's different is the dial i think. Lots of people hate the bracelets it comes with but it actually grew on me and i've learned to like it. And of course casios are always a great pick. They really are god tier watches.
Everyone, I think, has a soft spot for Timex. First watch is a bit like first love in that regard. I am sure pretty much everybody's first watch was a Timex. I was at primary school and remember it vividly. It also had a very loud tick!
Bought my very first Seiko the snsx75k for 90 euros this month from the used market but the seller rarely worn it and it’s almost brand new no scratches and with the box and warranty. I’m happy for that purchase
The Braun was my favorite. I own some of these but never heard about de BrAun... it´s simple GORGEUS but here in Mexico the prices starts from 160 USD up to 200 on amazon :(
I’ve just started collecting watches and in the past year I’ve noticed one glaring issue. Out of all the watch brands considered reasonably priced Seiko is the one brand I’ve noticed consistently go up. I’ve purchased several Casio and Timex and they stay the same price including the G shocks. But that $100 Seiko 5 is now $189 it’s only been 11 months since this video came out.
Hey I would like to buy a timex men scout expedition and I was wondering if I was wearing that watch in class will it disturb people around me or even me?
Thanks for this video! Been watching watch videos lately. Told my wife I’d like an Omega or Tudor. When she asked how much, I told her much cheaper than a Rolex, about 5 grand. She choked. Yeah, not going to happen. Your list is perfect for me. I really like the Casio Duro dive watch.
Nice review. I have AE1000, Timex Expedition blue face, Invicta Pro Diver but would like the Duro, and then a Berny Titanium/Sapphire dresser (my favorite), Lorus (2nd fav) and Berny yellow face compressor - so fun.
They bumped the Seiko SNXF05 up to $125... still worth it in my opinion. Also thank you, I have been collecting watches the last 3 months because of this video. Got the Casio World time and Time X Weekender+The scout expedition. Got all 3 for around $110
He did mention early on he was hard pressed not to make the whole video about Casio... Someone on a budget could easily make an entire watch collection entirely out of Casio's
Feeling good about my collection after owning most of these. Gotta be honest the Bertucci was an interesting pick, I was sure it was a Hamilton from the thumbnail.
Great video, thank you. I would also include the Lorus Sport Time Field Watch with the Bertucci in terms of price and bang for buck. I think Lorus in general has some great budget offerings.
The best watch under $100 is a $50 Casio Tough Solar(aq-s810). Never needs a battery and has everything you need, calendar, alarm, stopwatch, light etc. You can swim with it. The fact that you get a solar watch alone at this price point is amazing and the thing is bulletproof.
I love Timex designs but the last three expeditions I’ve had either kept inaccurate time or quit within a few months. I’m not sure if they’ve had QC issues or what, but I’ve gone back to wearing my Casio Duro much more frequently because of it.
Agreed. I had two. In both cases the illumination packed up after just a few uses, timekeeping was rubbish for a quartz, battery packed up in under a year and when I replaced it, it went in a few weeks again due to a fault with the watch. I was appalled at how cheap and nasty the internals were and for £50 gbp it was a complete rip off. Switched to Casio for a beater watch and couldn’t be happier. Their G Shock Casio Oak is fantastic as is the Excalibre solar dive watch (Pro diver Eco Drive) which looks as good as my Seiko PADI diver but keeps better time.
surprised the Invicta pro diver isn't on the list at $82.00. I have been waring mine for work and I deliver oil and auto parts for 8 years and people still say nice Rolex.
I like how watch people with high end stuff like rolex still respect brands like casio. I mean, you never see a ferrari owner be like nice civic

hows the size on it i have a smaller wrist iv heard it can be kinda bulky
The Weekender was my first watch. After grabbing Tudors, CasiOaks, Orises and Seikos, I love the Weekender to this day!
Me too ! But the Chrono version
Seiko 5 under 100$… where??
