I really liked how this video was made, and I think you are a great narrator, but I feel like it was SLIGHTLY biased, although it is hard not to be when the maker of the video is Apollo itself. I really did like this though, good job.
Look out for a Company called pure the the og maker of the air pro. The latest is a 500w Rear wheel drive, great climb ability and also comes with a USB charge output. Great option for all day riding and comes with a usb output available for hotspot streamers with a phone cam or a WiFi cam if you hook up your phone like I do.
Of course you would make apollo air pro the winner, you are the apollo channel. I have a gotrax and let me tell you, It's better than your apollo. Gotrax lock feature actually came in handy for my short errands, instead of carrying a bike lock around. Lock even worked, one time I came back to my lock jammed but not broken probably due to someone tampering with it. It was an easy fix with taking the lock mechanism apart and un-jamming it. In other words the lock worked! Also light weight is very important, epsically when commuting in the city. Taking it on the transit, taking it out the house or even lifting it up to put in the trunk of a car, being light weight is important. Even I think the gotrax could be lighter. Range is way better, I've never had my battery die on me, which means I don't have to carry my heavy charging cable around. The only thing the gotrax is missing are suspensions and maybe the handle bars could fold. Other than that, gotrax is way better than your apollo.
I have an Apollo Air Pro and love it, but... This video is biased. They didn't mention the water proof rating for instance. That is a HUGE deal to people looking for a commuter, and it's a clear win for the Ninebot. It's a deal breaker depending where you live.
Hi Matheus, thank you for your feedback! We tried to be as unbiased as possible, but since we work for Apollo, there's always a little inherent bias ;-) We had considered including the IP rating as well, but there was already a lot of content to cover! Maybe we'll include that in our follow-up video :-)
Exactly. Imo segway/ninebot have the most extensive and reliable range on offer right now. They have many models to suit many needs or budgets on top of that they have worldwide customer service departments based on where you live. I bet if I had a fault with my gotrax I'd be trying to work out what the guy on the phone is saying and give up. If there's a problems with my ninebot I get an English guy on the phone and if my scooter needs to go back to the manufacturer it goes to Netherlands and not China. They're well Built with a great customer based service. Pure are another company that kind of offers the same service. Good water rating good motor power and offer something the others don't ie USB power socket
I have the Inmotion L9 (I also have an Apollo Phantom). The Inmotion seems conspicuously absent in a lot of comparisons, even though it goes about 32kph and has a 95km range (which I can say it reached) -- and the Inmotion has full suspension, full lighting, an excellent app, rear disc, water resistance rating... and it's size for taller people to boot.
5:38 You assess battery usage by battery bars on the display? A 15 year who has never ridden a scooter would know that isn't a good way, and you are supposed to be some kind of expert?
I'm a huge Apollo fan here (living near Montréal too) but honestly don't waste time doing this kind of video that will always feel biased. Even the popular so called e-scooter channels get to have your pre-production models for free to test out wich is an invitation for some biasement. Some of your customers ,(like me) have an actuall excellent technical and mechanichal knowledge and will prefer a presentation and factual video from a manufacturer. The more I think of it the more I would actually like to be part of your testing team and help improve your brand with all my knowledge and experience. - JC
I like community within with segway brand. I'm able to share my journeys and ride outs in a twitter like social community within the segway app. I like to see the pictures that people are sharing of there rides or trips away from Home. Not only that but i live in England and they have English customer service department and a headquarters in Netherlands which means no expensive shipping or postage to the manufacturers if I have a major fault. If that's not enough there's a whole wealth of third party cfw (custom firmware providers) to play around and mod the scooter. The rgb lighting under the deck is really cool and fun to play around and something other scooters lack, I feel It gives me an extra presence on the road at night and people stop and ask me what I'm riding. Second note The pure air gen 2 is the only other e scooter I'd look at within the price range and yes I own one too. 500w rear wheel drive, simple design which I feel will never age or look bad. Pneumatic tyres for added Control and overall comfort when riding and if you add a travel bag( like I have) to the stem you can charge your mobile, action cam even satnav! right from the scooter. This scooter also handles heavier riders very well. Which is something all the segways lack when climbing hills. If I'm riding at night I use the ninebot, if I want a day out I use the pure air 2. Mad to think you can make yt videos powering your action camera with WiFi hotpots all Through the scooter your riding on. This guy doing the review really didn't touch on the great points that these different brands offer. And when I saw air I thought pure scooter. Never heard of apollo so this must be a paid promo for apollo
Ninebot g30lp is ALOT better than Gotrax G4. Apollo I believe is the best here. HOWEVER it's way more expensive than Ninebot g30lp. If you only gonna use your scooter for everyday work and your work is only about 10kms away from home, and you weigh no more than 168lbs, Ninebot is enough. Apollo is waste of money. Under Sports mode, ninebot kicks faster. It is water proof. Apollo is smoother riding because of hydraulics but Ninebot is also quite smooth though. Again people always consider the cost and that's the reason why Ninebot is best selling scooter because it's more affordable.
Hi @krss30, we definitely agree about the Ninebot being better than the GoTrax! However, did you catch the segment about the price point? The G30LP actually retails for more than the Air Pro!
Gotrax throttle is simple, take a few steps, once the screen odometer turns to a speedometer then you are good to go. This actually helps with battery life and motor wear and tear. No need to reach 5 MPH. For me it's always 3 normal walking steps. Another plus about Gotrax, cheap replacement parts, real real cheap. I purchased the entire motor wheel fully assembled with disc, tube and tire for 69 Canadian dollars from the Gotrax website, unbelievable, so I got 3, My scooter is good for 10 years LOL.
lol definitely the braking. The G30LP battery range is terrible I will say that. But It's well documented the The Ninebot G30LP is the best breaking scooter in it's price point and in some ways above it's price point . It breaks a foot sooner at a slower speed then the apollo but then, magically the apollo beats in breaking at a faster speed.. In what world of physics. Only way the Air is beating it in a break contest is if dude is applying the breaks super late to make the apollo look better
Yeah I got a comparison for you, wait for it.. .. The NEW (up & coming) City 2.0 Vs the original City. Hey mate you asked! C'mon that teaser trailer is well just that a TEASE! How about you give us out there that are dying with anticipation something more you big flirts.
Stay away from Roadrunner scooters. Mine is falling apart with in 3 weeks of buying it. Safety issues causing it to be unsafe to ride. Can not return their scooters if you put even 1 mile on them. So horrible experience. So you have been warned.
You never mentioned what modes you were using, that plays a huge factor in performance. Also the Ninebot Max is only $650 at Costco. I'm more impressed with your video editor then your scooter.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 this is a apollo commercial i have the g4 gotrax is the best scooter for the money and it have a alarm that you forgot to mention and the locker cable is ok as well i will buy the gotrax g4 again and again and again

It's normal you will choose Apollo over the other electrics scooters, because this channel It's Apollo scooters so you will choose it for sure
Why did you leave out the self healing tires and water resistance that the ninebot offers ?
Yeah im getting a ninebot g30lp just for rainy days cuz i dont want the warranty on my Explore to get voided or the 1800$ scooter to get fried

Of course the company's own scooter was the winner by a landslide
The ninebot was robbed. Always against him😅😢
yeahh super unbiased.....
And he didn’t use the Segway-Ninebot in sport mode
That would be dishonest wouldn't it?

unfortunately there is no more air pro for $800 in the US there is only a $1000 apollo air :( which is the cheapest

It gets full speed even on one bar, restricted to 15.5mph,I've had 31.9mls range

Just got one and it has a 500w motor. Gen 2 May be? Go Trax doesn’t have it listed for 500watts. Any idea what’s up?
Finally, an unbiase review of three entry level e scooters!
Not really. He missed some features on the segway range that gotrax doesn't have that may swing opinions.

You are doing "honest" review while you are wering appolo outfit lol. also you speak too fast and your voice volume is kinda low.
If you cut the cable on the G4 the entire scooter would be disabled
