      Thanks. I really didn’t specifically mention the motor mounts but that big monster actually fit directly into place on the original mounts. But because of header fitment we had to modify the left block mount. That was the only modification we had to make. Even the transmission sat into place. It was just that simple, amazingly. I’m willing to answer any questions about it, please feel free to ask. Thank you for watching and for your comment

      @@albertorodriguez6661 A big block Monte Carlo, that’s very cool. Those big blocks belong in the G bodies. I see the concern with the motor mounts. You could measure from back of the block to the motor mount to see if the v6 and v8 are the same distances. I think they might be the same. Not totally sure though. You could always do a test fit. Best of luck

    So exactly how much horsepower does a stock 454 make since they putting it in there bone stock with no upgrades

    • @Farm10customs
      @Farm10customs  9 месяцев назад

      They say a stock 454 has at the low end about 230 hp with 385 lb-ft of torque and can go up from there. This engine is basically a stock engine, aside from adding a mild camshaft, intake and carburetor, and headers. With these upgrades it could add at least somewhere between 50-100 horsepower, I’m just guesstimating. No dyno testing here. Hopefully this answers the question. Thank you my friend.

    • @jarrettwoodward2585
      @jarrettwoodward2585 6 месяцев назад

      @Farm10customs is being very modest here. My 1970 396 bored to a 406 (6.6l) dynos at 430 horsepower at 5500 rpm (can run this engine at 7000) mind you. A 454 is bigger.
      And to Farm10customs. Nice job! My big block likes to flex a lot even with new mounts. You will want good room for flex. In my case a set of drag headers fixed both room issues.
