I had a sport quad with much smaller tires so I had to get off but it floated over just fine. All the other ways out there needed a 4x4 quad and winch. Honda didnt make a 4 wheeler until 85 or 86. I had an 86. This was cutting edge technology back then. They only made these in 2 wheel drive. These 250's were dang near bulletproof. I tried and couldnt tear my 86 up! Lol

Murilo M it’s easy just out a deflated basket ball behind the front number and near the steering, then inflate the basketball, just make sure it doesn’t interfere with the steering
The best 4 wheeler floating i have seen was my friends 99 Suzuki Kingquad it would float perfectly flat and with 4 wheel drive it would drive around like a boat with 2 aroun 120 pound riders on it. Floated right at seat level.
John Engels I'll have to test this after I rebuild my 97 king quad. I like the balls buddy put in the frame in this video, could fit atleast 2 in a king quad
I used to have an old Lt50 and the thing could float in the water better than a jet ski and do around 15mph in water and 30 on land it was so much fun as a kid just driving straight through the field into the lake and out the other side.
Hey bud I'm looking at buying a 1988 Fourtrax what do I need to do to it to run a 29 5 or 31 outlaw and do the diff lock or spool and do I need to do a Big Bore Kit or clutches and what about a lift
Love the vids man, keep up the good work... although I wish you’d quit making me want a Honda instead of my Bayou 220, but what can ya do when you’re 15 and broke
I have 26 zillas on a 300.. I want to float mine in the river with the flow of water .. what would I need to do? I thought about rigging some basketballs in the frame to help it float lol
I have floated every 4 wheeler I've owned across a river (about 50 yards across), no special tires or setup. I only weigh 150lbs. Only the rear wheels went under water.Just keep it wide open. Never tried a lake.
its a good idea. you see people trying to float with shit strapped to the wheels and stuff well hell why not fill the void of the frame. problem is with modern stuff there is no axtra room in there anymore. hell that basketball is nearly fully inflated as it looks.
If you had no bike and money was no issue what would you get off the show room floor? I don’t care for belt drives really leaning towards the biggest Honda foot shift I can find
Just how many balls is stuff in the frame to make float. I've had Hondas starting as a kid with a 110 ATC -250R ATC then went to 4-wheelers and yeah they floated but it was a bounce float when it touched bottom I now own a CanAm Commander that if I put the comparable amount of balls under it it too would probably float So thing is don't say yours floats and then try to hide the fact it's got balls under it to help it float
Here's a video of it floating without any balls only added those in the lake because I wanted to try the Outlaws which aren't as buoyant as my usual Tire setup. I'd love to see you try something like that with your commander, those are trash by the way. Cheers ruclips.net/video/bbV5-_sVHfs/видео.html
Mud Puppy that's great but those tires are blown up so outta shape that there's no way you could ride it anywhere but the water. Sure not gonna trail ride then dive off in there And one other thing I didn't trash talk Hondas I love them wish they'd get their stuff together and catch up with the build concept of everyone else and then I might go back to them I had a 3004x4 4004x4 4504x4 and rubicon's and even tried a Suzuki guadsport once I've had my Commander since New in 2011 as it is a 2012 model and I've only broken axles due to the lift and the fact I will go trail riding, mud riding, rock crawling and then go play on the beach all in one day and then turn around and use it to haul firewood piled all the way to the roof during the weekdays plus chase cows Try all that one your Honda the way you set it up Lol. Yeah you can't unless you change tires I built mine so I wouldn't hafto change tires unless I wanted to. So plz if you don't like my SXS try it all on yours first I know mine won't float without the help of floatation devices
*walks into the boat store* y’all got a 1987 Honda fourtrax by any chance
Steel Rhodes ahaha
Plot twist: it’s in stock
I wish
Do you just dock the quad at night and tie it up?
You should try like sand paddle tires
Don't get a trolling motor just get axle paddles.
No that would drive it to slow

Make a bumper sticker “try that on a can am” then put it on all ur Honda’s
Keegan Foster can am will have one eventually that will be way better
All of the above Outdoors eventually yeah
Keegan Foster I would buy one
Yeah shit floats
I would make a sticker that says “ TRY THAT ON A HONDA” and put it on my Can- Am

what kind o quad? lt 230 quadsport?

should put a tiny 5hp outboard
on it would be amazing

Fricking amazing, nice job!
How did you run the snorkel
So goofy, love it.
How does this work
Do a review of the mudlite xl’s 28” or 30”
What size tires man?
i see he increased the pressure in the tires... 55-60 psi and you don't need the snorkel.
Definitely ideal
I have one of these thats freaking awesome.... It hasnt run in some years now but just carb issues...
What's that orange thing beind it ? some sort of floating device ? That's insane
I have a 1985 250 things a beast for being 2wd
Quick question is it cuz of the tires lol
Dude why didn't you get on the back of the Honda then go faster with the boat and start skimming 😂??
What kind of a atv is that
How do you make a floating quad
Is it a two wheel drive Honda
I was just telling my wife we used to put basketball in the old Honda 350 to make them float
Can you give me a link with a tutorial for that? Or can you give me some instructions on how to do that?
3:30 and 3:36 you can see that he used basketballs
Murilo M it’s easy just out a deflated basket ball behind the front number and near the steering, then inflate the basketball, just make sure it doesn’t interfere with the steering
Lol, my friend wanted to do that on my 350. It would probably be pretty fun

What gear do you have your Manuel quads in when going in mud or water

What lake is that? The water looks nasty af
you can actually drink it, its just tanic acid from Cyprus trees.
awsome but i still love my can am😎

Wouldn’t mamba lites have the best paddling abilities or are they to heavy

What if you put sand tires on that, they may work better in water.
that's
awesome
i rode them all....and honda ended up to be the best
Maybe you should add a trolling motor 😁
There is no way you don't get covered in leaches
