Does water just not travel back up through the exhaust on these or what's the deal? I figure when the engine shuts off it must be on the compression stroke so the valves are closed
Depends on the number of cylinders the more cylinders the more likely the water can travel up. On a Honda are usually okay especially with the exhaust at an angle like mine was
Man I wish you made some longer videos and I miss your old talon what happened to it I haven’t watched all your vids so idk lol also I went ahead and bought some Quadbosses 680s 38x9.5x20s it’ll be plenty enough for my rmax2

@@brandonstewart6753 I see what you are saying now. The tank looks to have super steep banks and is very narrow. He mentioned the Talon was wider probably because it get up on those banks. I agree tho, when he got off and moved the bank is possibly 4 ft?

Long time watcher of your videos. I just bought a DCT 520 Rubi. Have you ever snorkeled a DCT? How are they in the water? I know the foot shift versions are what you ride and they always have less issues in the water vs DCT’s but just curious. This will be my first Honda since a 2001 Honda Rancher ES. Since then I’ve had 4 Polaris ATV’s, and a 2011 Yamaha Grizzly 700. But this Rubicon I get later this week will now be my only ATV. I’m excited for it
So you don’t have to worry about water getting into the engine from shutting it off under water? I thought if the exhaust valves where in open position water could enter? Awesome video btw, I wound never do that with either of my ‘19 rubicon’s.
On the contrary knowing when it's best to shut it off is key. If I would have left it running it would 100% have hydro locked by the time I got back to it
Try dielectric grease on spark plug, that always helps All wheelers are different tho could be many different things Also maybe turn your idle up little bit
Disappointing in my brute force water only up to headlights killed oil looked milky or as bad as you can imagine and this guy uses his like a sub what the hell am I doin wrong
You need 8' snorkels for 7' foot ponds. So impressed
Do another long riding video I loved that one you did with all the Hondas
Man you’re wild for leaving it shut off in water like that 😂
What other choice did I have

Suggestions on other airbox o rings I’ve cut some to fit but the oem ones are expensive as hell

Rubicon footshift

You say 6ft deep. If that's 6ft deep you must be 7'6 tall.
He's standing on a quad with 33" tires that is in a wheelie. Not sure how high that puts the pegs? 2 ft?

They are fine. Same snorkel procedure. If you get water in the oil they are more prone to transmission issues
I have a matte green 2021 rubicon deluxe DCT an I've had it just as deep as mudpuppy just was an haven't had any problems.
Man you got lucky on that one lol 😂
The trick is to let it eat until just before the snorkel goes under lol
Bike looks 👍
How did you snorkel up your Honda I need to now so I can do mine

I always thought water could get in the cylinder from it goin up the exaust valve but apparently he ain’t to worried abt it so 😂

The exaust only sucks when you go to start it under water
If not you should be fine but it's not always the best idea

whats that blue hose inside your airbox?
That's how I run my crankcase breather up to the very top of the air box with a little uni filter on it
