  • In this video we'll take a closer look on IST Mall's Alpha 47C. I will also show how to install it and give my opinion on it to hopefully help you decide if you should cop one or not.
    Special thanks to ISTMall for sending over extra Deco switches to replace the ones I broke. check them out at www.istmall.co....

    You can buy replacement panels for several fight stick types (RAP 3, RAP 4, RAP N, RAP V, RAP VLX, TE, TE+, TE2, TE2+, Fighting Edge, several others..) to accommodate Korean levers with a full collar, did this myself with my RAP N and had a 24GN 2019 Fanta w/ the airbag plate in it for a minute before settling on the Fujin III Rev. B in the end with Crown 202MX buttons.
    The Alpha series levers are far better than anything Crown has to offer imo, Crown is just very beginner friendly as they have softer stock tensions (HST25 and HST35, their high tension is ungodly stiff (stiffer than a Fujin III) though and I don't recommend using it as it will inevitably strain your hands/wrists unless you're using something with a full throw like the 309K HELPME which imo is Crown's best product along with the 303DX CDP) but the Alpha series manages a lot more. The flat collar design would make you assume the throw is very short, but it's actually longer than a short collar Crown due to the undersized shaft so the throw radius is almost (but not quite) that of full collar levers. The tension and grommet types used is far more in line (due to using IST grommets like Fanta/Fujin levers) with what's normally found in Korean levers and imo the Crown series has just become too westernized at this point. They sort of feel like a middle ground between traditional Korean levers and Japanese levers. Alpha levers are far better at giving an authentic Korean feel in a package that fits in cases designed around Japanese parts.
    There's also the Knee lever, which is sort of like an Alpha but it's also not really. It has a full throw despite having a flat collar like the Alpha, a Myoungshin distance throw. The grommet is on the softer side but is tuned to have a faster neutral return that most similar grommets of its spec. I personally didn't like it very much though, but it's a very balanced lever like Crowns but it's more authentic feeling.
    Fujin III would be my #1 Korean lever, followed by the Taeyoung Fanta and then the Fall 2019 24GN Myoungshin Fanta w/ the airbag plate. Then for #4 and #5 I'd probably pick the Crown 309K HELPME and the Kaze lever. The 303DX CDP is quite nice too, but I really just do not like short collar levers unless they have an undersized shaft tbh. I like longer throws.

      interesting, you didn't place the alpha/knee in the top 5, why is that?

    Is the battop removable from the shaft on this lever? The updated 49S model looks like it comes with a removable battop, but I don't know about this 47C. Also, how is the full throw distance?

      Technically, you can take them off but they're glued on. You could just order the Alpha shaft but if you really want to you definitely could with some goo-gone.

      The throw seems an average middle ground. Basically if its longer than what the 309MJ has

      @@SirCharles. taeyoung is stiff and imprecise in diagonals.(a2 microswitches) but of you learn how to play on taeyoung you will be very precise on other levers.

      @@islambekusupov6328 Hey man which microswitches are better to hit diagonals more consistently in a Taeyoung? I currently have a Taeyoung with Gersung V16 Microswitches, the Classic ones that are equipped in the Taeyoung. Do you think a Gersung V0 (Crown Microswitches) are better to hit diagonals more consistently?

    • @islambekusupov6328
      @islambekusupov6328 3 года назад +1

      @@shiki494 Hi. I believe that gersung a3 or Omron v6 is the best for taeyoung but u have to change your rubber grommet for a lighter one cause a3 or Omron v6 are heavier switches. I had used gersung a2. Or maybe u don't have change switches and u just need a larger actuator. But if really looking for a larger diagonal lever i suggest knee lever (totally different than tayeyoung) or fujin v3 ( basically premium fanta)
