@@MakingTheSausage I should note that the shaft that didn’t fit was for crown levers, hence the bobbin discrepancy. It’s unfortunately hard to find Fanta-style shafts outside of ASI’s and Coolbear’s.
Quick question to anyone, how tight do you screw your korean lever after changing the grommet? I'm not quite sure whether how tight you screw your lever together affects the overall tension of the grommet as well.
I accidentally put one of the black harnesses on the one before and now the last one doesnt reach how do i take off the connector? it doesnt wanna come out
Is the IST Alpha 49S Lever a good Korean lever for beginners ? Is the transition difficult for people who play most of their life with Japanese Joysticks ? In the end of your video, the joystick seems to wobble a lot .... 😲!! For people who like a quick return to "neutral" is it very difficult to play with an IST Alpha 49S ?
I own this lever, I played on 30 and 35 tension. I liked it with 35 tension as the Omron switches take less force to actuate. I also play on new helpme version 2 with 30 tension on my secondary stick. If you want to buy Alpha49s, buy this without any hesitation. It has a long throw due to 15.5mm actuator, diagonals are not so strict. I play kazuya and armor king. wavedash and backdash came out much better on this. I wish bought this lever earlier. I can't go back to Sanwa now. If you use 35 tension, snap back to neutral is fast. There will be wobble because of larger neutral play. If you don't like long-throw, you can get the 309mj or helpme version2. It has very large diagonals and wobble will be minimum. To conclude, if you like long throw go for alpha 49s, else you can look at crow 309mj or helpme. Hope this helps
- the IST Alpha 49S is a great Korean Lever for beginners. The Crown 309MJ was my first Korean Lever. It was the easiest of the 2, but you will eventually grow out of it faster than the 49S. I think the 49S you can use for many years and not have the need for an upgrade. - The transition is easy. Like with all things fighting-game related, all it takes is a little bit of practice. - That small wobble is because of the Rubber Grommet. If the tension is high enough (35A in this case), it will never accidentally hit a direction you don't want. On softer tensions, if you aren't delicate enough with your touch, you might accidentally hit a direction. - The main reason for me, moving to a Korean Lever, was BECAUSE of the desire for a feel of "Returning to Neutral". As soon as I made the jump and increased the Tension of my Grommet, it immediately solved that problem for me and never had the desire to go back! ✌
True, normally I buy my sticks from IST Mall. As mail from Korea comes really fast to Australia with very little postage costs. But they were out of stock. What are the good EU retailers out there? I have a lot of EU viewers on my stream and I'd like to know a few stores to recommend to them.✌
Fantastic tutorial
Really appreciate it! 🙏
I hope it was useful! 😁

I hope it was helpful!
Is the 49s close to the knee lever in terms performance? I can’t find a knee lever anywhere
Edit: I found a knee lever 😂
Alpha49S is a very good lever. I'm using it for months.

Would this lever work on a hori fighting stick alpha? Also where did you purchase this lever?
Wich is the perfect tensión for this lever 35??
Yeah! For me, 35A was the sweet spot! 😎👌
Hi, great video man, how is the shaft for a longer use? Is it same as the crown shaft that rust easily?
can you do a review on this lever ?
For sure! First I have to put it into some long-term use and treat it as my daily-driver.
That was I can have a better opinion 😁
Where did you get the Translucent smoked dustwasher?
Is that good for a Miahima and Non Mishima characters?

I think the main trusted ones are Arcade World and SmallCab.
