🛍️I’m about to ruin shopping for you. Rag & Bone edition!
This is a dead giveaway to spot cheaply made jeans. 🐱Let’s talk whiskers. Whiskers are the little lines on your pants that form from the pocket to the fly when you sit down. In raw denim you will break these whiskers in yourself and they will be custom to your body, but with prewashed jeans they are done for you.👖And, they are a major clue to if your denim is actually premium or not.
On cheap jeans, the whiskers will look like straight lines or cat claw scratches.
And, on high-end denim, they will have a lot more shape and complexity.
What’s interesting is that both these jeans are @ragandbone - but the one made in China has much more premium finishes than the pair made in Turkey.
🤯This might be a shock to you, but China isn’t just cheap fast-fashion; they actually have some of the world's most high-end manufacturing capabilities… If you know where to look.
    Now you know!

either way I wihs they were made in the US and with more care instead of outsourcing production to turkey/china to cut costs

I'm a big fan of made in the USA. The problem is people vote with their wallets and most consumers won't pay for it.

@@alookbehindtheseams Can't blame them, even luxury labels are outsourcing alot of production in china and putting on tags&labels in Americas/EU sadly!! One made in USA brand that still holds true is Chrome Hearts though and I can say their outerwear and cut&swen is the very best.
