My sister, niece and myself went to Italy in April and we visited Rome, Florence, Pisa, Tuscany, Cinque Terre and Venice, Montecatini, Lake Garda on a bus tour 8 day trip and we had the best time. It was incredible. Bought a Fendi bag and Hermes sandals there with no issue and saved a lot of money because you can claim at the airport for the taxes you paid on the items which are already significantly cheaper than the US. I calculated I saved close to a $1000 US on my Fendi first bag after receiving my VAT.
How much % is taxes on bags? 20% or less? Thanks ❤

Really do prepare yourself. It’s a LOT of walking AND stairs and heavy bags are gonna ruin your time. Comfy shoes a light cross body and lightweight flowy fabrics. Do not carry a heavy bag trust me. It is torturous. I cannot wait to see you meet Luna! I still can’t decide which I want, I gotta hurryyyyy…have a safe and wonderful trip!❤

I have been wearing the rag and bone Miramar jeans for a couple of years. I have them in three different colors and two different styles. No one ever clocks them as sweatpants and they are so incredibly comfortable. Highly highly recommend!

Last summer I went to London with my mother and neither of us wanted to check any bags, I bought the Patagonia Black Hole MLC 45L bag. It’s a backpack or sling/crossbody bag. It fits sooooooo much stuff. I know what Baggu bag you have, I have it too. This Patagonia bag is better for carrying especially if it’s heavy. Both bags are awesome! Good luck packing.

For an extra layer I always travel with a very fine large cashmere scarf that doubles as a blanket on the plane and a wrap for cooler evenings. It rolls up to virtually nothing. Regarding Birkenstoks I found them awkward and uncomfortable when walking on cobbled streets and piazzas, you know when your foot slips a bit and you step on the ridge that goes all the way round. If they have a strap that goes around the back they'll be fine.
The Balenciaga rodeo bag seems like an excellent choice for the perfect on the go week. One of the best deceisions to travel with.
So glad you are going to Italy! We make it back there at once a year and I could LIVE there permanently, I love it so much! We just got back from eight days in Venice and three in Rome. The food, the people, and the climate (we usually travel in spring or fall) are amazing! Have a great time!❤️❤️

Wise choice for the carry on, Florence sidewalks are small. I took a Tumi leather backpack that had a slit to attach to my suitcase, and a crossbody. It was perfect, and we stayed for 12 days. It’s possible but we also had washers in our air bnb’s

I lived in Italy for 2 years about 25 years ago. Italian women in the region I lived, never wore jeans or shorts. I had a capsule wardrobe comprised of black, white and gray. With added blouses in colors of blues and pinks. It was easy. I accumulated several nice scarves. It is proper to cover your head in some of the churches and synagogues.
25 years later and I wear jeans everyday of the year. 😊 Still no shorts though. My wordrobe is still very simple, capsule, and less than 40 pieces.

Ive been so curious about the wide leg R&B Miramar, but i find the brand's sizing to be hit or miss and their sale items are final. They look great on you! I am loving all the style content. You always look so effortlessly stylish and regal in what you pick out.
Florence is such a beautiful city !went several times and still love it ,go and visit Santa Maria Novella pharmacy,plenty of perfumes,soaps etc

Great packing! But aren’t you limited to one quart size bag for liquids, lotions less than 3 ounces. Have the rules changed?
You will buy shoes in Italy. Make sure to have room in your luggage. Siena, Florence, Milan - shoe shops everywhere. In lake come basically every shoe shop have their own production and design. Very inexpensive for the quality, skip the designer brands, everything else is just as good quality.
Yay! Italy! Italy is great. You need comfortable clothes cause the food is amazing 😂. Enjoy Michele and can't wait to see your vlog from your trip. You can't see all Italy in one trip, there is much to see. And every city has a charm of its own. Always a treat to return.
I traveled 21 days in Europe (Italy, Spain, France in a Nov), with only 7 days of clothing and 2 pairs of shoes. On a carry-on. And it was perfectly fine. ❤

Dear Michele, Have a wonderful time. I have never been to Italy and have family members who are Italian and go every 3 years. Please don't think I'm crazy but a Cary on is not enough. They bring a cary on and 1 good size empty luggage. Or buy one there they did not bring. The cost of luggage there is huge. .Again, please think about it. You will see many things you will want to buy. The cost to ship is also huge.. When I make my Pasta I will be thinking of you Dear Lady. P.S. your nails look so clean & white. So fun to watch as I also hate packing - I can hardly travel with a carry on because of the liquids/creams that have to fit in ONE small plastic bag (even decanted skincare in tiny jars and minimum travel sized makeup/haircare don't fit in that small plastic bag) - so I'd like to know whether all the containers you're bringing in different pouches were allowed through security within Europe :-) For reference, I live in Oslo Norway and often travel to UK/Europe.
I saw Erin Busbee (I think) review those rag & bone printed "jeans" and loved them. I wish they had a slightly slimmer pair because one thing I hate about jeans is how fat they make me look and how stiff they are when they are new. Then when I wash them a lot, they look frumpy. These are a great solution, just a bit too wide-legged for me. I would buy your designer bags in Italy -- definitely cheaper. Florence is a dream city, imho. Love everything about going to Italy and it shouldn't be too hot. If you are going to Lake Como, you won't want to come back. Buon Viaggio!

Regarding the Khaite coat - it always amazes me that these kind of design flaws happen in really high-end brands. I used to assume that’s one of the things you pay for: flawless, well-thought-out designs.
I leave Sunday for Rome, then on the 5th we get on a cruise ship for a Mediterranean cruise. Maybe I’ll see you over there.
