I am a social scientist by day and in my first job there was a sign. "We regret we have not answered your questions. In fact we have generated more questions. But we feel these questions get at issues with more depth and a chance for greater understanding." This fits well with the course of Lost.

The pacing in how they reveal each character is not "spoon feeding" the audience the background information, rather it rations out information drop by drop on a "need to know" basis. The narrative structure of this show was one of the most unique attractions for many of the audience members.
Every week the day after this show aired it was all anyone could talk about at work.
There still hasn't been a show as gripping as Lost was...I keep waiting for one, though!

LOST is like life. You will ask yourself questions, sometimes answers will be given to you, sometimes you will have to deduce them, sometimes you will invent them, sometimes you will not have any. “C’est la vie” as the French say.

This was definitely a popular topic at work, at least where I worked. Everyone was watching it and talking about it. I started watching the show just to join in on the conversations, because they always seemed so exciting.
The actor who plays Michael (Harold Perrineau) also played Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet (1996). I highly recommend the movie for reaction if you haven't seen that version. It is also very unique in its vision of the classic.

the thing in the jungle and “guys, where are we?” are what got me hooked. and I loved this show all the way through till the end. It was life changing for me lol, I still haven’t found a show I like better.
For the drug inside the plane question, my friend back in 2007-2008 was traveling to some countries and he would hide his drug in his mp3 and pretend to be listening to music. The security wasn't as good as you might think
Yunjin Kim who plays Sun the Korean lady is apparently a huge actress in South Korea, and the actor who plays her husband Daniel Dae Kim who is American and never played a role where he had to speak Korean so when he got this role he had to kind of relearn the language.
I got goosebumps at the end, and I've seen this many times!

There's a lot of mysteries, some with the island, some with the people, it's mainly a character driven show, which I loved. There wasn't anything I didn't like about this show.
Just as was getting bored, you saved me. In fact, it's about a quarter to 8pm EST, and was considering taking my evening Xanax to go to sleep. But now I don't need to. Oh how I do wish these were twice or thrice a week.

Evangeline Lilly who plays Kate was the last to get cast. She’s Canadian and they loved her audition but she was struggling to get her green card and they were worried they were going to have to get someone else but as luck would have it she was cast and brought to life one of the greatest characters of all time.

Lost is a masterclass in how to do diversity right.
I'll be honest, "How high?!" (Kate proceeds to look up and up for like five hours, as the music builds and builds) drives me nuts!
Just a note on Shannon's translation: "Il les a tué tous" can be translated as "It killed them all," but it can also be translated as "HE killed them all."
You have to remember that this is 4 years after 9/11 anyone that resembled Muslims back then would've caused people like sawyer to be on edge about him
I have a suggestion for a show called that not many have watched on here: 24. It’s been kind of forgotten these days but it’s such a binge-watchable show
Lost is so good, I actually like Sawyer the blond that was fighting ,later 😊 And Hurley is so sweet. You'll find out secrets as the show goes on a lot of flashbacks.
