Hi guys, I am just rewatching LOST serie in lockdown. Thanks for all likes and comments, hope you' re all fine in this horribble pandemic. I love you all!!
It's hard so I'm rewinding Jack, John, Desmond, Benjamin, Sawyer, Juliette, Charlie, Michael and Sayyid scenes. I must say the male characters were so profoundly written. We will never see it's likeness again.
It's never been easy for Locke to put his trust in fate and destiny, but he feels duty-bound to do so, as the signs he has experienced and seen are unquestionably THERE, but it's not easy, "IT'S NEVER BEEN EASY", since "fate" has turned it's back on him so many times: - "his father" duping him into giving him an organ of his only to abandon him. - murder attempt on his life - wheelchair-bound and hindered to act out your hunting passion It's hard for Locke to believe that fate has something special in store for him! There is no doubt Locke is correct, the series makes that clear! They are all chosen, and specifically picked, so that the plot of Lost may unfold the way it does, perfectly! However, I never say any concrete answer as to what was Lockes main motivation for not giving up on "destiny", difficult as it is! I speculated that he thinks the alternative (not believing in anything) is just a horribly defeatist mentality, that leads to nothing positive, or any form of realization of the meaning of life! However I think the series intends it to be an open question (as it tends to do with most questions)! I think "what" Lockes driving force is open to interpretation!
Yeah, my favourite 3 characters were: 1. Locke 2. Sawyer 3. Jack. Locke is my favourite character in my favourite tv show, his interactions with Jack were some of the best parts of the entire show
rlcoolj1989 Lmao finally I met someone who thinks like I do. I thought I was the only one who hated the character. I don’t think it was the character that I hated though, it was the person who played the character that pissed me off lol but yea, he was such a hypocrite, delusional moron 🤣
rlcoolj1989 I’m actually rewatching the series again, I’m in season 2 so far and I kinda hate him as well lol only portions of him though and not even close to the Locke hatred 😂. He’s so into, “I’m back luck because of the numbers”, and that kinda throws me off sometimes lol Now that I’m rewatching the series, I truly truly hate Locke lol
rlcoolj1989 lmao dude, when he was running towards the hatch when the dynamite was on, I was like omg 🤦♂️you kinda deserved to be blown up 😂 but surprisingly it didn’t piss me off as much as Locke, when he kept telling jack to input the numbers, “You gotta have faith jack”, I kept telling Jack, don’t fall into that bs Jack. 😂 I’m surprised someone has as much hatred for that character as I do. I also, was glad when he died lmao

I dont wish my life on anybody, but clearly those creatures will get it worse when somone will save us from this hell From what i understand the island is a spiritual place that light the spirit, i wish we have those stuff on eArth
Great list, but Locke and Jack at The Orchid should be on here. Best Locke scene for me. "It's not an island. It's a place where miracles happen. And if you can't believe that, Jack, if you won't believe that.... then just wait until you see what I'm about to do."
What Locke says in that scene is my favourite quotation in my favourite tv show. I’ve actually quoted it before while I was explaining something to someone
@@masterofdragons82 Locke realized that Charlie was an addict and he helped him in a way to overcome anxiety about meth. He told Charlie nature is society way of strengthening and to worry about something that’s not helping him was wrong.
I find lockes whole character to be fascinating. He’s a pathetic nobody that the world turned it’s back on and neglected him entirely. While he still picks him back up again the world pushes him back down and says stay down. He continues to get an unfair deal until he finally gets a second chance and becomes the person he believes he truly is. A strong, intelligent, and driven man that makes the most of what the island gave to him.
@@MGS87273 Couldnt disagree more. Locke had what he wanted from life. The only place for his character arc to go was for him to either die there on the Island, or be forced to sacrifice the new lease on life that he had to save the Island and the rest of the survivors. The latter is more interesting. Also Jack's arc hadnt yet been fulfilled, and Locke's death is the catalyst that was needed for Jack's transformation into a man of faith.
I'm definitely surprised that so many of these were from the first season. Until the last one, from the final episode, came up, I was assuming that this list was made early in the series, when only two or even 1 1/2 seasons had aired so far. One that I would've definitely included is the scene in the final episode of season 4, with Locke and Jack (which was made even more elevated by the fact that they hadn't even seen each other since the first episode of the season, when Jack pointed a gun at Locke and pulled the trigger) - which included the following: Locke: "You're not supposed to go home." Jack: "And what am I *supposed* to do? Oh, I think I remember. What was it that you said on the way out to the hatch-that crashing here was our destiny?" Locke: "You *know,* Jack. You know that you're here for a reason. You *know* it. And if you leave this place, that knowledge is gonna eat you alive from the inside out...until you decide to come back." ... Locke: "It's not an island. It's a place where miracles happen. And-and-if you-if you don't believe that, Jack, if you can't believe that... just wait till you see what I'm about to do." Jack: "There's no such thing as miracles." Locke: "Well... we'll just have to see which one of us is right." And a second scene I'd definitely put on there is another one from the series' final episode - between Locke and Ben. The fact that he so freely forgives Ben for all the awful things he did to him is a testament to the kind of person he was. I'd definitely include at least those two, instead of the story he told about his sister and dog, and the one he told to Boone about Michelangelo. There are probably others too, but those are the ones that come readily to my mind. But we all have our opinion. :-) I just love the show, and the character of John Locke.
Yes, and in the end Jack stood up for what Locke believed in!) Even though he didn't like Locke at start, in the end he found guts to admit Locke was right!!
One time I was on the North shore of Oshu and in a small cafe and in the back was Terry zO’Quinn himself. I knew I’d never have another oops like this so I garnered my courage and went over to say hello. He was most gracious and appreciative of my fandom. Said he missed working and was glad I enjoyed the show. I’m so glad I met him!
Believe it or not, I just started binge watching shows I was “too out of it for” during my early addiction... So when I seen Charli and Locke talk about the moth it brought tears to me! Hell yeah john!
It always bugged me Locke never shared with Jack that he was in a wheel chair before the island. But I guess that plays into his character when it comes to faith.
Magnificent actor, great part. A damaged man seeking redemption for the sins of others. At least for a while.... This showed what a Magnificent talent O'Quinn is.
Best lost character in my opinion ❤️ i fell in love with him when he talked about the moth with Charlie. Such a great soul ❤️ and Terry O'Quinn did an amazing job. I could listen to John Locke talking all day long and never get tired of him!!
Saul Goodman Walter and Dexter yes. John I still will not agree with you lol I just hated him so much, I’m rewatching the show currently and trying to find out why I hated him so much 😂
Hugo , sawyer, Sun, Jin, Jack, Charlie, Claire, Kate, Sayid - really adore Hugo's mum too, she's hilarious! Admire Rose, Bernard, Mr Eco, Shannon, Boone too, Ana Lucia and Libby! Juliet, Frank lapidus, Daniel Faraday, Miles straume(!) Charlotte Staples Lewis x forgot to add, Aaron( Claire's baby), Danielle Roseau, Danielle's daughter, Alex, Karl! Really do like Mr Friendly(?) Tom Guy, Guy who was in Con Air, plus the guy with Shrapnel in his body (who was on Con Air too) x Dr Anzt' can't spell it, the looking glass ladies, Bonnie, can't remember the other ladies character! Teresa falls up the stairs, Teresa falls down the stairs, Eko's brother, Fumi
+Spire Wolves It was a joke. They look similar. But if you get a chance, check out the show 666 Park Avenue. It only lasted 1 season but it was an interesting show. He plays a main character in that show. It is a great show.
My fav locke scene is mos def the scene where he makes Sawyer and his dad meet, its amazing for both Locke and Sawyer to get revenge on that horrible man.
Scene 5 speaks volumes, completely epitomises the conflicts of their relationship. You can see that, what is holding Jack back from accepting his fate on the island, is his stubbornness: he kept fighting against the waves, current of events that inexorably leads to his and everyone's destiny because he was so sure that he was in control of his own destiny and could save everyone and get them all off the island, hence his lack of faith. Unfortunately, its only when he gets off the island that he understands this. Locke on the other hand was willing to take a "leap of faith", let the current take him, let the island take him, to where he is "supposed" to be. He understood that the island had to make sacrifices and didn't harbour any ill will towards (perhaps frustration at the pain it was causing him and others, and because he had given faith to the island(Jacob) and trusted it) even if it means he has to die for a greater purpose: to save the world and the island from Smokey McSmokerson. But Jack had too little faith and it cost the lives of the very people he so desperately -- possibly obsessively -- wanted to help and save.
@@rabbychan I think he meant that no matter the place, we still can feel lost and trapped. It's a state of mind ( well at least, that's what I understood )
Season 1 Locke seems to be a wiseman who knows and have everything under control... then we get to know his past and we can see he is still a broken kid who wants a father. Things get worse when he meets Ben, who completely manipulate and mess with his mind. Still, a great character... my favorite in the series.

This is a one in a lifetime experience there 99.99 percent chance that no tv show will ever be better than this in my opinion maybe a better storyline but they will never get the best cast like think of a duo better than John and jack this tv show changed my life
Personally, my favourite scene is when Claire attacks Kate and Locke pulls her off with Claire continuing to throw a tantrum and Locke / Man in black, just slaps her. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The last 5 scenes never fail to bring tears in my eyes, I can't get enough of them, bless Terry O'Quinn for bringing such a complex and interesting character to life!
perfect time to explain to Jack how you were paralyzed for 4 years until this crash, explain the medical terms, and im pretty sure I saw the wheelchair laying about early on. Gosh it might have helped explain his behaviour alot.
IMO, the scene you chose as #5 on the list should be a little higher on the list. It is one of the quintessential scenes of the entire series. It really sets up the dynamic between Jack and Locke for the rest of the series.
Haven’t watched this show since the days it was on TV. Wow, I had forgotten how brilliant Locke’s character was. The writers were on their A game no doubt.
If Only this show would of ended with Jack and John on the Beach like Jacob and The Man in Black, with switched outlooks. Jack being a man of faith and John wanting off the Island.
I still cant understand why his dad that did to him. I grt it, from sawyers storyline we know he was a big time conman and its just what he did and how he rolled- but really, why would you reuinite with your son and get a wonderful and beloved best friend only to cast them away once you had what you needed. I feel like you benefit so much from having a friend like that and I cant imagine throwing some one away. Its just a poor decision. Locke is so tragic, he made the show for me.

This is a one in a lifetime experience there 99.99 percent chance that no tv show will ever be better than this in my opinion maybe a better storyline but they will never get the best cast like think of a duo better than John and jack this tv show changed my life
Thank you soooo much for this, this was amazing John Locke is my favorite tv character
Bro the last scene is fantastic Best show❤❤
Maybe he wasn't main character, but he definitely was the most important one.
Personally, my favourite scene is when Claire attacks Kate and Locke pulls her off with Claire continuing to throw a tantrum and Locke / Man in black, just slaps her. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don’t tell me what I can’t do
I love ur profile pic bro. He’s my favourite character in my favourite tv show and because of this he’s my favourite actor too

“This is destiny...this is destiny...this is my destiny...this is...I’m supposed to do this Dammit! Don’t tell me what I can’t do!”
It's never been easy for Locke to put his trust in fate and destiny, but he feels duty-bound to do so, as the signs he has experienced and seen are unquestionably THERE, but it's not easy, "IT'S NEVER BEEN EASY", since "fate" has turned it's back on him so many times:
- "his father" duping him into giving him an organ of his only to abandon him.
- murder attempt on his life
- wheelchair-bound and hindered to act out your hunting passion
It's hard for Locke to believe that fate has something special in store for him!
I love you John!!!!!
Excellent Work!!! Thank you
@8:14 love the look on Sawyer's face. Usually he does not get fazed/scared
One of the most beautiful yet sad character arcs written! John Locke will always be my favorite.
My favorite part was when he perfectly threw his knife into Naomi's back. Bitch was gonna get everyone killed.
I think lost is one of the best shows I’ve ever watched and john locke and Claire would be my favourite characters in
The whole show.
Great selection. Favorite character ever & smokey
Love Sawyers look when Locke starts talking about his sister dying
IMO, the scene you chose as #5 on the list should be a little higher on the list. It is one of the quintessential scenes of the entire series. It really sets up the dynamic between Jack and Locke for the rest of the series.
Haven’t watched this show since the days it was on TV. Wow, I had forgotten how brilliant Locke’s character was. The writers were on their A game no doubt.
You see I could help it. But it would be tooo weak to survive...ask me again and it's yours
I feel like Locke is such a great character because they casted Mr. O'Quinn to portray him. Anyone else could not have pulled it off nearly as great.
The hatch was the best thing about the show. When that light lit up, I had goosebumps for an hour
We need a spin off or something. So many shows are getting reboots or soin offs, it would be epic ti see new stories surrounding the island
If Only this show would of ended with Jack and John on the Beach like Jacob and The Man in Black, with switched outlooks. Jack being a man of faith and John wanting off the Island.
AMAZING
I still cant understand why his dad that did to him. I grt it, from sawyers storyline we know he was a big time conman and its just what he did and how he rolled- but really, why would you reuinite with your son and get a wonderful and beloved best friend only to cast them away once you had what you needed. I feel like you benefit so much from having a friend like that and I cant imagine throwing some one away. Its just a poor decision.
Locke is so tragic, he made the show for me.
Happy birthday john for your wonderful 70 years and bring to an infinity to happiness and serenity from italian boy live in rome and I m fan of lost
I miss you john
Cried like a baby...
yh the moth bit should defo be first best scene ever !
This cast, was stellar, and with all the guest stars,Julie Bowen,Katy Seagal,Titus Well ever,I could go on
John Locke is one of the Greatest Characters in Tv History
Trivia: Lost is the prequel to Creed Bratton's life in The Office.
John was a very special human being in a dark world
Yes yes very good!
“I’ve looked into the eye of this island and what I saw was beautiful” I love that line so much
I wonder if he saw the source and that's what he was referring to. Even if the writers didn't know it yet
@@JackBrunelle I think the writers always knew. This story is perfect. Beginning to end of the series.
BEST ACTOR/ CARACHTER EVER
Terry O Quin,amazing from Stepfather,X Files, even Hawaii 5,0.etc.
Happy birthday at john locke from italian boy live in rome and i m fan of lost
Terry O'Quinn was the absolute best part of Lost. The part was written for him, and I cannot imagine anyone else possibly filling those roles.
locke was a total badass!!
