Dallas Sukerkin Ive seen at least 5 reactors watch Lost & every one of them absolutely loved the end. In fact, they were really confused by the fact that it was rumored to be bad. I think the difference is the reactors actually watched & paid attention. They didn’t try to watch half of the last season, then get mad cause it didn’t make sense to them.
@@susanmaggiora4800 The problem is that those of us who were intrigued by the premise of the show guessed in season 1 what was actually going on ... and the writers point blank lied and said no, that wasn't it (not revealing here because, you know, spoilers :D).
I don't know if you recall, it being a while ago now, but Lost was pretty much the first major show to have an 'interactive' forum via the fledgling internet, so the show runners were a bit caught on the wrong foot by having the detective power of a 'crowd' figure out the major plot points so quickly. Hence why there were so many dead-ends and red herrings as the story went on.
Anyhow, when the finale rolled around and, guess what, 'we' had been right, well that is what generated a fair amount of push back from the actual fan-base (not to be confused with 'casual' watchers).
I don't think it was as much as a let down as the end of Game of Thrones because there wasn't such a quality drop-off but it was also more bitter because of the deception.
Dallas Sukerkin If you think you were right, you’re one of the people that didn’t understand the ending🤦♂️ My girlfriend was hella into going online & I can’t think of one theory that was actually correct, which is what actually pissed people off, just like GoT. They were mad that it didn’t finish the way THEY wanted it to. Like I said, all the reactors I’ve watched have been floored by the ending & really curious as to why people would think it was bad. It wasn’t that it got figured out, it’s that nobody took the time to figure it out.

I love the idea of people waking up on an unknown island surrounded by chaos and panic after a plane crash, then suddenly some pretty boy runs up to them and asks if they have a pen of all things. Like shit is exploding, people are screaming, there are dead bodies on the beach and this guy just wants a fucking pen. Damn, I would have loved seeing some characters' reactions to that.
LOST redefined how you experienced tv. It was the birth of talking about tv shows online (back before twitter and facebook) and creating kind of a community fandom for a modern age.
More LOST? Yes please.

I remember watching this the first time when the first 3 seasons were on DVD. My BFF and I had tiny one bedrooms on the same floor of the same building our first year out of college. It was winter temperatures always well below freezing and once a week we would take turns hosting and watching a DVD(from Netflix when it came in the mail). We would crank the heat up to like 80 for a few hours and pretend we were in a tropical climate.

Yay love this show.loved how it starts and ends. Only note of advice is maybe have tissues near by, not for every episode but can’t really say which ones. Just best to be prepared.

Same here Larry, it's the first show I followed as well. I remember it airing on Wednesdays when I was 12 years old and we sat down to watch it each week.
I never finished it though, stopped two times around season 4.
I understand the love for lost! That's why I am watching other people react to it lol

Hi guys, I stumbled upon your reactions and enjoy it a lot so far, so you have a new subscriber... Regarding the new shows you end up reacting to, I would like it if you have enough shows that Larry hasn't seen (like Dark) to balance the others where he already watched and only Ellie is introduced to them (like GoT)!
Also, if you need recommendations for other good good shows to try, I would say "Battlestar Galactica" (scifi), "The Leftovers" (amazing show by the creators of LOST), "Hannibal", and maybe another comedy with "Community"

Yes, LOST can be messy and unnecessary cluttered. Its a great example when real life and studios interfere with the writing team.
But after all its such a great show with everything you want. Mystery, action, drama, love, family, friendship, believes, faith, destiny and whole unique universe with its own lore. On top its writing was kinda game-changing. Flashbacks and cliffhangers were almost new defined.
Enjoy the ride, enjoy the journey, have fun and don't let people tell you how your opinion is supposed to be. Experience it in your own way!

Don't waste your time with Lost. Game Of Thrones and the Boys are the best shows to react to and will guarantee viewers. Especially Game Of Thrones because the show was so globally popular, it is rare see someone who hasn't seen the show yet and is a much more entertaining show to react to with many shocks and surprises.
The most watched TV shows will be priority for us for sure!
