Storm and Kim, I think that your mom would really like this show. It does have some jump scares. However, it is a poignant and well-written drama and mystery at heart. There are many more smiles and tears than jump scares.

I'm not gonna spoil anything because i've seen the whole show, all i gotta say is that maybe you're going to cry, and for sure you're going to be surprised and confused at the same time.

I got lost with it
One of the most convoluted lore of any TV show I've ever watched. I hope they ''get'' it and the core message of destiny shown throughout the whole series.
One of my all-time favorite shows. Brings me an oddly cozy feeling when watching it. Such an emotional show for me, I don't know why. So much togetherness.

Yes, a lot of reactors have started LOST in the last twelve months. It's funny how after 15 years people jump on the wagon. I love it though. If anything, this show is wildly underrated.

I second the commenter who mentioned doing at least 2 episodes per week. If you're able to, of course. BUT please stay away from spoilers of any kind. One of the best parts of this show is the "reveal" factor. Other than that, just enjoy the ride. It's my all-time favorite show. I will enjoy watching y'all enjoying it. :)

JJ is horrible for plots, but pretty great for characters (in more quirky dramas, i don’t think he could do an hbo style drama). He seems to try and improvise his stories too much.

I just think this show is perfect for Mum to watch. There's a lot of beautiful messages in it. Believe us, she's gonna love It!

There are many loud voices for and against LOST. My advice: Dont look anything up, don't let people dictate any opinions about characters, episodes or endings. Watch and expierence LOST and decide by yourself.
LOST is a ride. You will hate the ones you like, you will love the ones you hate, freak out by the mysteries and crying tears of sorrow and joy (maybe xD).
Bottom line: Have fun and enjoy :)

No way!!! This is my favourite show of all time! Absolutely fantastic! TV wouldn’t be what it is today if it wasn’t for this show! I went to Hawaii for my honeymoon last year and visited all the locations. Brilliant experience... you are all asking the correct questions as well! Great theories already :)

The original ending of this episode was to see Jack { he would have been played by guest actor Michael Keating } die and take the place of the pilot in the tree and have Kate become the leader of our castaways aka Losties but the powers that be decided to keep Jack alive so they revamped the character of Jack and hired Matthew Fox for the role.
Shortly after filming the pilot the actors who play Kate { Evangeline Lilly } and Charlie { Dominic Monaghan } began dating in real life and they remained a couple for four seasons of the show.
All these reaction channels are jumping on the Lost train and I'm not complaining

Wow! You are doing Lost! My favorite show of all time. But I have to say, this show requires your attention. There are a lot of mysteries, and most of the people that complain or say they didn't answer anything, those are the people that didn't pay attention. They do answer almost every one of the mysteries and questions you would have, but quite a few you have to figure out from context. They don't always hand you the answers on a silver platter, like many shows. So, please, pay attention to it. I've watched the entire series multiple times and still find things I missed every time I re-watch it. I'm sure you're going to love it!
EXACTLY! Could not have said it any better. There's tons of people complaining about the ending, but like half of them did not even watch every episode and the other half did not pay attention. I'm in my seventh rewatch with reactors and I still see stuff I haven't noticed before. Most of the answers are REALLY there! If you pay attention!

At the time, it was the most expensive pilot episode ever produced.
It's still quite impressive. Almost the entire show is filmed on location in Hawaii, with very few sets.

It's still very impressive considering it's a network show (ABC).
@@RobTheWatcher Other modern pilots don't cost as much either. Even Game of Thrones was pretty cheap.
@@kuhpunkt Other modern pilots don't buy decomissioned airliners and ship them to Hawaii. When I said it's still impressive for a network show, I thought it'd be obvious that it excludes Game of Thrones, since HBO is cable. And what you call 'cheap' is still 5 to 10 million dollars for a GoT pilot episode that had no special effects in it except for a big ass wall made on a computer.
So awesome. You'll love this show. Please watch twice a week!

Great show, watch the entire series. It's exciting, dramatic, a few scares, and surprise after surprise after suprise. You can try and guess what will happen but good luck and have fun!!

I just wanna say I love this show and your reactions, but thank god missing commercial planes are a very very rare thing to have happen. there’s only 1 currently missing plane with 110 or more people on board and that’s Malaysia airlines flight 370. it took off on March 8th 2014 from Kuala Lumpur international airport in Malaysia bound for Beijing,China and is still missing to this day. God only knows what happened to them. ✈️

A good portion of Lost is pretty darn amazing. But it is also one of the most frustrating tv shows of all time. I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with it.
