    I have my rolling tool box . Rigid from home depot, no need to take out your seats. I also have low ride side tool boxes, for an open truck bed with home-made bed slider, with heavy duty ladder rack . Awesome set up, and can have my rear seats back in a flash if needed. Just roll out my tool boxes into the garage. Tip for the day...

      Sounds like a good set up as well! We definitely would want to have a rear seat if we weren't full time in the truck.

    Wow - great video; really well done narration and video edits! Any chance you can share your plans? Especially the measurements of the pieces/parts? The Pelican Dividers have mixed reviews - did yours (at your link) come with all the items seen in your top drawer? Thanks for sharing!

    • @TheMortells
      @TheMortells  2 года назад +3

      Hey Harry! Thanks for the nice comment! Unfortunately we didn't actual draw up any designs for this and it was a 'figure it out as we built' it project. The dividers in the top drawer are some of the Pelican dividers but also some custom made dividers using corrugated plastic and foam.

    Totally off topic, but I'd love to know how you guys transitioned your kitty into traveling with you. We also have a cat and pup we'll be taking on the road with us (exact same rig, too!), but I'm a little nervous about the kitty. I would love to see a video about living on the road with pets. Thanks in advance for any insights!

    • @TheMortells
      @TheMortells  Год назад +1

      Hey Jackelin! We got pretty lucky with Walker, transitioning him to life on the road was very easy. We initially did a couple trips of just driving with him in the cab of the truck and he wasn't a hug fan but once we took him on a longer trip with our dog in the truck as well he calmed down really quickly and hasn't had any issues since. We will try to make a video about life on the road with the animals at some point!

      @jackelinslack4400 Год назад

      @@TheMortells thanks for that insight! All cats are created differently, I guess, and we'll have to do a few test runs. Ours is definitely a free spirit who loves to wander outdoors so our biggest challenge will be getting him used to a leash and staying in the camper without complaining to be let out all night. Maybe we'll see you on the road. Happy travels!

    Would love to know dimensions of all pieces cut for build and where you got of the the products use. Thank you.

    • @TheMortells
      @TheMortells  Год назад

      Hey there - unfortunately we didn't make any drawings for this build out so I don't have the dimensions. We removed the back seat and built it to fit. Most of the build is 1/2" plywood but the base is 3/4" plywood.

    I am not sure if this is right place to ask. Is it possible to provide the measurement of the hall way from where the cabin (sofa) to the end of sink area before the shower room? Since the table is super small, we are interested in getting an adjustable table to put it in the hallway to either lower or increase the table depending what on the situation. This will help us decided whether we are getting a scout camper or another brand. We do like this brand a lot. It is those small things that it has to make it works. Thanks

    • @TheMortells
      @TheMortells  2 года назад

      Hey Sandra! Unfortunately we have modified our entire layout so we aren't able to get that measurement for you. If you reach out to Scout via their website they will probably be able to help!

    What did you do with the electrical seat belt buckles connectors to keep the dash from throwing an error light because you removed them? 1:17

    Purchases a crew cab pick up just to turn the backseat into basically just more bed space...
    I swear people these days just absolutely refuse to buy a single cab with the 8ft bed!
