  • Gun violence kills more American children than any other cause, and the gun death rate in the US is much higher than most other countries, and higher than all other developed nations.
Every time there is a mass shooting - especially in a school - there are calls for change, for reform, for new laws come. Will this time be any different? Sky's US Correspondent Mark Stone explains.

@Alexei Smirnoff It's cultural. Remove Chicago, D.C., St.Louis, Memphis,Detroit, L.A. and the the USA is very safe indeed even with firearms. The problem is cultural, in particular in the inner city neighbourhoods. That is what needs to be addressed, not granting the state a monopoly on the use of the tools for lethal force, that is very dangerous.

The issue as far as laws in USA is that its not like most countries. Each state can pass laws and the federal government has limits to its powers over the states. So when it comes to laws there are many variants of those laws that differ from state to state. As far as the question of gun violence in the U.S. its not as simple as gun control. There needs to be a larger scope of issues dealt with, and control is only the visible issue.

The second he walks out that building ARMED SECURITY guards, that he ofcourse can afford, most americans can't, will be right there to protect him from any criminals or thugs that try to rob, kill, or hurt him. This shows, that people with power don't want poorer ones to own guns, because otherwise they dont have control over them.

The AR 15s used in Uvalde where far from military grade, military grade weapons suck and are made as cheaply as they can and still have a function weapon. Those ARs where far better quality
There is no feasible way to confiscate all the firearms in the US, that cats out of the bag including at least 20 million AR 15s alone

    2. total ban on weapons: nobody can possess any weapons, including knives, gun replicas, airsoft guns, etc
