My late mother who sadly passed away only recently absolutely adored Frankie Vaughan, she swooned over him when he was on telly singing. Her favourite song was " Give me the moonlight," it used to amaze me as a young kid that dad didn't actually mind my mom adoring this man.. haha 😂
    Happy memories 💕

The late, great Frankie Vaughan was handsome, suave, well dressed multi talented….dancer, singer, story teller and comedian who’s smile could light up a room. He was a faithful, devoted family man and charitable and encouraging always. Proud of his Jewish heritage as his gravestone shows and a faithful supporter of Israel, the Jewish State. Shalom and RIP Frankie.

His charity work amongst boys clubs and retired show business people was legendary. 1961 I was living as a young teenager In Blackpool when he was appearing at local theatre for the summer. My father couldn't attend so I went to see him with my mother and a young woman work colleague of hers. I was more into pop singers but his performance was well and truly for the ladies. We were in a private box and from where I sat I could almost touch him. A wonderful man who's death was quite tragic

I remember my friend telling me that when he was a boy he once met Frankie outside the stage door at the Alhambra in Bradford he said he was the last person to leave after meeting fans and signing programme, he made time for everyone there, he ruffled my friends hair and said pleasantries. This is confirmed by his mum who said that Frankie was a true gentleman and had a smile to melt hearts.
I have no idea what show he was in, as my friend passed away several years ago but he was about 7 yrs old at the time.
    Thanks for triggering a memory.

I was fortunate to be taken by my mum to see him perform when I was a young girl. We met him at the stage door, he shook hands with my mum and kissed her cheek (swoon swoon) and signed this small autograph book which I had. He had the most wonderful smile and eyes. I remember thinking - oh when I am old enough I want to marry someone just like him. What a stunning looking man he was and a perfect gentleman. 💓💓💕💕

I enjoyed watching him and listening to him singing on tv when I was younger, but I’m quite moved to hear of what he did with those four gangs in Glasgow-surprised they would listen to ANYONE intruding their world, but then I read the comments made by other viewers of this tribute video, and have tears reading how he changed the lives of some youngsters..giving them a chance, something to do, go to, and relieve boredom, which I believe is the problem with a lot of ,sadly, todays knife wielding youngsters. If Frankie were still here I’m sure he would have done his best to help there too, but to read of grown men now, who still feel gratitude after all these years warms my heart.
Thankyou Frankie, and your lovely wife Stella who sounds to have been your staunch supporter and love of your life. rIp 💕🙏🙋‍♀️🦋💐💕

Another absolutely brilliant video. So well presented and everything so well researched down to the smallest detail. Being born in 1963 , I was a child watching him on telly. He was top of his game during that time and appeared many times on various showtime programmes. He was always immaculately dressed and nothing out of place. He was such a good looking man and had a really nice way with him. He was so cool and layed back when he was performing and he certainly could sing a good tune. I really enjoyed watching this.

My Mum was a great fan of Frankie Vaughan and when she was on the board of governors at Bayswater School Headington Oxford he made an appearance for some occasion which I cannot remember for what, but it was a wonderful memory for her and she got to meet her idol

Another good tribute Alan, I think he was UK, s version of Dean Martin.. He was a lovely man, and singer, I remember watching him with my dad when I was young on a Sunday evening.

Hi Maureen its true, there was a lot of similarities. Won't they accept? You didn't go on about drinking all the time but they had the same style. I've actually seen Dean Martin's in las Vegas many years ago in the same place as Marilyn Monroe and Billy wilder. See you again soon I hope Alan

When I was young around 11 we had every year on the Cricket we had someone come and perform,
and Frank came and sang, it was a shame I only got to see him going to his car being chaced by a Lady fan with long hair, he stopped turned around and gave her his Autogramm and a kiss on the cheek, the Lady turned around and she was in her 60s, I must say she was fast, that was the first and last time, thats funny it's just brought back a memory my hair dresser was almost the double to Frank, thanks for your Videos keep up the good work.
