I know this video is old, but I recently did a pretty large purchase of wajid products, including this healing oil. I couldn't put my finger on it for the longest, but it would seem as though after a fresh wash and everything, applying this oil would sizzle my scalp. like you, I went down the list of ingredients, and I couldn't pinpoint what was making me so itchy. But thank you for posting this video because I thought I was just imagining it. I'm glad it works for others, and even though it did my scalp no favors, it really does what it's supposed to do.
Im glad I came across this video. I have had this product months ago and stopped using it. I couldn’t remember why I stopped... I recently used it again on freshly washed hair and immediately the itching began and continued for days. Glad to see that it is not just in my head.
I really wish it worked for me cause I love the way it smells. I use it on my body sometimes after a shower or my feet after a pedicure. I am not trying to discourage others from using it. I'm gonna use it up. I hate wasting money.
Oh no! I have been using this oil for 2 years and have never had an issue with it. Sometimes people don't like particular oils and can cause irritation and itching. Sorry you had that reaction to it.
I also had the very itchy scalp. My hairdresser used it on my scalp for the first time a week ago. I would not have figured it out until I came across this video. Thanks for the heads-up.
Wow I'm sorry this happened to you! I started buying this back in 2015. Back then it was a good product and I would only buy it. HOWEVER something changed! They may never publicly admit it but I know they changed something because now it is very watered down and drys out my locs. The ingredient list does not match what the product actually does. In 2015 it was not as watery, and it moisturized my locs and skin. Today it seems like some has cut corners and compromised the quality of this product. - No thank you Taliah Waajid - I stay away from this oil, their coconut moisturizing mist and forget their castor oil too!!! I'm just going to research and make my own product.
There are so many ingredients in Nature's Blessing it would be hard to know. It works well for me. I like it. but for now I'm going to go with coconut oil only.
I'm having this same experience with elasta qp olive oil and mango butter replenish oil! Maybe I just need to buy my own organic ingredients and make my own oil because the irritation is unbearable.
Yes, I use the Wildgrowth line as well. Haven't had any issues with it. I also use the Nature's blessing as well. Lesson learned tho sis! If it ain't broke.. Peace&Love
My advice is to use what your hair responds well to. For me, it was trial and error until I finally realized as far as shampoo, it really doesn't matter as long as it didn't dry my hair out. As for oils I give the same advice. I personally love coconut oil, but I have several and mix them occasionally.
I would wash it out asap. I can't use things like tht either only castor oil and rosewater 4 me. I'm hyper sensitive I think it may b a good cuticle oil too
Majority of the product is soybean oil... that could be what gave you the reaction. All soy has been monopolized by Montesano, which is guaranteed to have pesticides/gmo in the product. Since it was first up on the ingredient list, that’s not something to take lightly. Most likely what caused the problem since it would straight up have weed killer in the soy 😰
I just tried this for the first time today and I noticed that my scalp was itching and also that I’m having an allergic reaction to it on my face but I’m not sure just yet I ate some foods I don’t normally eat so I’m gonna give it another try to be sure but I definitely have experienced the itchy scalp
I've just come across your video and I've used this oil and I wasn't impressed. I'm with you. This oil did nothing for me. If anything, it made my hair dry. I just use a little Jamaican castor oil. My air feels so much better.
I think I am allergic to some of its ingredients. My scalp itched like crazy when I used it. No shade to her product. That was just my experience. I'm glad you found something that works for you. 😊
I noticed my scalp only itches after using this product when I go for extended periods of time without oiling it. If I use this product once or twice a week regularly the itching doesn't occur. I also noticed that my scalp absorbs it fast during periods when I experience itching. In my opinion I think that you used to much on your scalp and it really needed it. This product does not make hair crunchy at all that's an indication that your hair and scalp was lacking moisture. Itching is an indication of hair growing so I think it may also be a reaction from your scalp immediately absorbing the oil and being that you used a lot your scalp is working twice as hard trying to soak up as much as it can as fast as it can.
I just used it on my hair tonight. I believe the salon that I go to uses the same oil on my scalp I love the smell of it and decided to go purchase one myself. And come to think of it I have also experienced that itchy and just brushes it off thinking it was just because I have a dry scalp lol. But I giving it another try tonight. And then after I used it I felt An itch in my scalp I don't know what's going on 😆
😆😅 but wait don't they also say it's good to use as a body oil , and a hot oil treatment. I wonder if using it in these ways you get the same effect. Lol

I think that brand is overrated anyway. I used to scroll you tube and look at all the hair video's and became a product junkie, Now I just keep is simple by washing and using coconut oil to moisturize.

Have you tried black seed or black castor oil? If so, what was your experience?

It could be the food coloring and/or the perfume.
What do you think is in it that irritates your scalp? I use it on my eyebrows, lashes, and hair and it works amazing. (I also love the smell)

oils don't give moisture you probably use this as moisture and this doesn't give moisture and you need to use it as a hot oil treatment
