I took my ride to the shop and watched them lift the hood and started going to work W/O fender covers .
I told them to step back from the car ,I put the hood down and told them
I'm leaving and won't return.They asked why and I told them.
Anyone who can't use fender covers can't care about your paint.

And the fender covers can't have any dirt on the underside of them from the last car they worked on. I had a shop do that and I was not happy! Scratches everywhere.

Mine is numbers matching 396 rebuilt bored 30 over.. I wouldn't swap it for an LS even if free.. too many out there with swapped out engines.

Hey can you help me out . I’m doing a 66 impala the same way . Can you tell me the oil pan part number you used and we’re you got your from . And the hooker header you got. I’m using a 5.3 motor for mine from a 2003 Silverado. Thanks 5:05

Hi guys I would highly suggest moving the alternator up with a different set up at you will have to modify the crossmember. I ended up modifying-mine to accommodate the alternator in my 65 bel air

Also u will have to modify top of steering box to fit driver side header I have a 1/16 gap after some precise die grinding work performed lol

You're right. Should've been an LT4 swap
