  • I’m super excited to show you all this new system by SS Brewtech! It’s a single vessel brewing system (hence SVBS) that runs on 240V power. All in one means you mash, boil, and chill all in the same system and the only other thing you need is a chiller and fermenter!
    The IPA I’m brewing today will be released with Pilot Project this spring so we’re going to assume it’s a good one! Wanna try my brews? Help bring Flora Brewing to city near you! Support my fundraiser: www.gofundme.com/f/florabrewing

    I appreciate the time you took to make this video. I am a big fan of ss brewtech and I've been patiently waiting to see what they would come up with. There aren't a lot of brew day videos out, yet. I'm in the market for an AIO so I'm looking at all the available offerings on the market. I'm sure your technique will become more refined as you get used to the system, so I'm looking forward to more videos. Not really sure which system will meet my needs, as of yet, but I am excited about the prospect of simplifying my brew day.

    I used my SVBS for the first time about a week ago. That rubber fitting at the bottom of the kettle needs to be pushed in well and then the mash basket also needs to be pushed on pretty good to make a seal on the top. It looks from your recirculation flow that these weren't sealed well. You should get a much bigger spray that what is shown.

      how much grain was in your boil? Did you dip a sieve by any chance?

    Its much easier to work with, but great video

    How was the experience compared to the Clawhammer?

    Looks like we have a winner for 2023 homebrew epic fail all-in-one brewing system. If this is the 3rd redesign I wonder how bad were the previous 2. They tried to replicate some Brewtools concepts but in a very bad way.

      why is that?

    • @christiann.7195
      @christiann.7195 Год назад

      @@TheJocker113 mainly due to unnecessary complicated mash recirculation. The use of a triclamp at the bottom of the mash basket will make it difficult to mount/unmount. As well the rubber piece sealing the basket looks like an unnecessary extra piece and complication. It was funny to read on their website that they will patent it 🤯
      Other than this, I think the controller looks limited in functionalities and could have been wireless.
      @4600W it is def overpowered for the volume implying using 240v which is not common in US.

      @@christiann.7195 Every single house in america has 240V, which makes it fairly common. Sure, you might need to plug into a dryer or cooktop plug to get at it, or install a dedicated outlet (me). Most brewers are clever, they will figure it out.

      @christiann.7195 Год назад

      @@andrewdeweerd461 you know what I mean by 240V. In general, the location of the appliances using it will not be the best spot for boiling wort 😁.

      First time through is a learning experience. I've had mine for a few weeks and it goes much smoother once you get a system and a rhythm established. I have both a 3 vessel HERMS and one of these and this is much, much easier.

      @@elbaranoo yes there is going to be some residual sugar left behind on a no sparge process. You could extract some of those sugars by doing at least a small.spatge of a gallon or 2.
