The greatest financial heist - how an unknown guy called Jho Low stole billions of dollars in an audacious financial scam involving Malaysia's investment fund, 1MDB. Jho Low probably had more spending power than anyone else on Earth, since his money wasn't tied up in stocks, real estate or other illiquid assets and investments. Jho Low had cash to spend. And he spent those millions of dollars the same way any of us might dream of: throwing extravagant parties, networking with celebrities and even financing movies like The Wolf of Wall Street (which is kinda ironic a film about a financial scam was financed thanks to a financial scam).
Jho Low's financial fraud was achieved through shell accounts, tax havens and the use of loopholes and bearer shares. But most importantly, Jho Low become a billionaire because of his networking abilities - he strategically worked his way into the lives of the rich and famous. However, financial fraud like this has very real world repercussions - that money was meant to help the country of Malaysia, and be used in construction products that could have really benefited a lot of people. This is the insane story of Jho Low, and how to get rich fast if you have no morals.
00:00 Prologue: The Story of Jho Low
01:26 Chapter 1: The Jho Low Origin Story
06:18 Chapter 2: The First Heist
11:39 Chapter 3: The Asian Wolf of Wall Street
    19:36 Chapter 4: Goldman Sachs
24:00 Chapter 5: The Crumbling Empire
Money. Power. Status. Jho Low wanted them all, and identified sovereign wealth funds as his opportunity to get rich quick. With some political bribes and the help of Goldman Sachs (and investment banker Tim Leissner), Jho Low become extremely rich very fast. This is the INSANE and controversial story of Jho Low and the 1MDB fund. I hope you enjoy this finance mini-movie from MagnatesMedia! :) #finance #wealth #richlifestyle #documentary #business

🙏Quick favor… if you enjoy these videos, please can you make sure you’re subscribed and have notifications turned on for this channel? And then I will love you forever. 💖
Also, this video was a long while in the making, and would not have been possible without our video sponsor, Waves: jo.my/waves_exchange15_37 - a decentralized crypto trading platform with low transaction fees, that’s very easy to get started with, and even lets you earn passive income by staking your crypto.
Quick warning though: because crypto is mentioned in this video, the spam bots are gonna be out in full force even more than normal. So just as a reminder… I will NEVER reply to a comment asking you to message a number/person with some investment deal. This is a common problem on any finance/business channels with scammers impersonating them and using their logo. But it’s obviously fake. The world is full of mini Jho Low’s looking to steal your money, so stay safe out there. 👍

But the country is destroyed under PH and Mahathir because they dunno how to manage the country or even fulfill their empty promises aka lies. If you think a PM will give someone access to billions of dollars without oversight, you're more naive then we give you credit for.
Remember, even before Najib became PM, as a defense minister, this guy already wasted hundreds of millions or even billions in dead end military purchases that amounted to nothing.

He made the choice to go hard and fast instead of a bit slower. I know that he literally has the character flaw of being addicted to attention and massively compensating for being an insecure little shit, but still, he only needed to bide his time for a few years and he still could have made big money. The fact that he funded the wolf of Wall Street is actually pretty funny, wouldn't have wanted it funded any other way.

What's a miss here is Martin Scorsese & Leonardio DiCaprio both have more than enough money to finance their own picture irregardless of any outside funds needed from major studios, why would they source their financing from an unknown investor such as Jho Low to fund "The Wolf of Wall Street."

Because they didn't want to risk their own money, obviously.
