Thank you very much Karla. I don’t see there is much to experience there other than their annual fiesta but I’m sure they have more to offer than what I know. Thanks again for watching.
@@timelesstravelclub6240 yea you must have to go on October 4 or December we have so beautiful festive or June when we call the corpus and we exchange things and food for salt you can find a lot of videos about it
That was so interesting AND timely! This is going to spark some interesting conversations with my family. Thanks for educating me about something entirely new! I do find myself wondering if the cartel left with all the politicians?
Hi Bonnie! The cartel did not leave without leaving casualties at first. But ultimately, with no one left to bribe or corrupt, the cartel eventually went elsewhere. Thanks so much for watching.
Haha... I understand what your saying. But I asked a handful of people I trust and all said I would be safe without hesitation. Otherwise, I would never have taken the chance.
@@timelesstravelclub6240 Yes it is very beautiful. Maybe on your next trip to Michoacan. If you do make it in the future, try and rent one of their small boats ( they rent hourly) and enjoy the tranquility of the balneario and the nature that surrounds it. But definitely avoid visiting during a Mexican Holiday season because it gets packed and noisy.
What an interesting story!! 👌 I wonder how much corruption their new system has and what influence the narcotics industry have there 🤔. I’d never heard of this place so thanks for sharing 😃!!
From what I understand they have completely rid themselves of corruption whatsoever. There is no meddling from the government and the organized crime elements have left years ago since there is no one left to bribe.
Would it be safe for a foreign woman to move to this Pueblo? Before COVID I volunteered at an ESL teacher. My students were mostly women from Mexico. I also volunteer with refugees and asylees. Thank you for this awesome video
Hi Javelina! Honestly, I don’t know enough about the town to accurately answer your question. But the town I traveled from was Patzcuaro which is an hour away from Cheran and is very safe and very charming.
It's a safe place, but you need to know, is not a tourist place, it's just a small town, with a few activities and you need to speak Spanish. it's not like Cancun, Los Cabos, or other cities where foreigners are used to finding people who speak English. This town is for people who want a quiet and safe place.
This was really good dude I want to go but I am Mexican and as it is here in America I’m often mistaken for a gang banger . Would be scared to be mistaken for a cartel member or something
This is a great story! Thank you for telling us about it. I've just added Cheran to my list of Places I Must Visit in Mexico.

Its worth it
My aunt owns a hotel too🤗
I’m from Cheran, Michoacán but I live in Michigan! Thank you so much for visiting my home town..... God bless you
It was my pleasure, Jorge. I only wish it wasn’t during the pandemic. Thank you for watching.
Lol
How cool. The beauty and fairness of the people never cease to amaze me. Thanks for the education, how special that place is.
Yes it is indeed a special town. Who would have thought something like this would be possible.

Wow, self government, very interesting idea. Great to see more videos from you about your travels around Mexico.
Thanks Rod. It’s good to be out there again.
Very interesting!
Thanks for the info!
Interesting indeed and you’re welcome.
Thanks Andy for sharing this fascinating experience!
Yeah, I’m surprised this story isn’t more out there.
I lived in Morelia for a year! Studied public policy there, wrote books about it
I would support a system like that
Right?! I would support that in a heartbeat too.
We need to do that here in Los Angeles 💯. Politicians have almost ruined this great city.
Indeed! And I can think of a lot more places especially in California
I have heard of several other towns in Mexico like this I believe.
We need this in the States
We could definitely use elements of this process but we are unfortunately too far off the deep end.
Awesome video my family tree is from cheran!!! Love my town
Thanks Adam. You must be proud of your town.
Andy I'm going to give you a nickname after watching this video in Michoacan. "GRINGO LOCO" because me being mexican I don't dare to go there.
Haha... I understand what your saying. But I asked a handful of people I trust and all said I would be safe without hesitation. Otherwise, I would never have taken the chance.
If you get a chance, Visit the Lago de Camecuaro in Michoacan.
Thanks for the tip. Maybe next trip as I am leaving in a couple of days. I looked it up. It looks beautiful!

@@CM-pr5pg Yes, I never travel Mexico period during their holiday seasons or in the U.S. for that matter. I'm not a big fan of crowds anymore.
I love this too. I'm making a list of places like this to visit in Mexico.
Im from that town my mom brought me to the US during all this because it was really dangerous to be outside 🥺😞

@@timelesstravelclub6240 love it! To me it sounds like a total utopia! PS the bloopers at the end were great 🤣
@@FinnDelMundoTravel I could probably make volumes of videos with just bloopers. I can be such a dumb ass. 🤪
Similar to libertarianism
This my country 🇲🇽 Michoacán
I loved this story
I wish I could have spent more time getting to know the town and its people. I love the story too. Thanks for watching.

Tank you for visiting my home town CHERAN KERI means CHERAN GRANDE an Indian language
Thanks, I always wondered what Keri was all about.
I hope you go back after the pandemic to see the festival. I'm very interested.
I haven’t considered it but now that you mentioned it I think that’s a great idea.
This was really good dude I want to go but I am Mexican and as it is here in America I’m often mistaken for a gang banger . Would be scared to be mistaken for a cartel member or something
Thanks. Some of the police are women so maybe if you talk a little sweet with them you’ll be fine.
Can u show me around if I go there dude
Don’t know if and when I’ll be back.
Any ghost stories ? I’ve heard mexico is really haunted
Other than the Llorona I can’t say.
