Thanks for the shoutout, Andy! Correct, Kevin's roots are from Veracruz as well as San Luis Potosí and mine (Jenny) are from Zacatecas. And yea, we like to say there's a little something for everyone on our channel 😁 foodies, salseros y aventureros!
I go back and re-watch your videos... I love your vinyl collection in the background.. YAY!! I do enjoy the music reactors as well... it's amazing how much of the BEST music ever comes from the 60-90's My personal favorite Era was the 70-80's Crazy about Beetles and early "hair bands" LOL I think if you continued to do this sort of video, just talk about whatever is on your mind! I think a video titled "DENTAL WORK IN MEXICO" would be of great interest! It's something most of us dread especially the prices! Anyways... Keep them coming.. .I love your style!
It's good to hear from YOU as well. There will definitely be a dental video! Haha. And from Vallarta!? The video should go platinum although I would be happy with tin.
I watch EBT, Jenny and Kevin, I really like how they teach about Mexico and it's music too, Spanish and Go is also a good channel that doesn't get enough attention. Thanks for the update.
Great to see your videos again Andy, we just returned home from PV six days ago and have just now booked again for next February. Hope you are enjoying retirement, and please take some video in PV and share with us!
Great to see you back Andy. Just returned from P.V. Stayed for 10 weeks. Crossed paths with the Kennons a few times. Your vinyl looks a lot like my past play list. Cut my teeth on Doors, Jefferson Airplane and CCR. Binge watched PTX while I was In P.V. Visited Lo De Marcos. Didn't surf but loved the place. Have a great time. Post a video for the rest of us.
10 weeks in PV! You lucky guy. It appears I’m going to have to start showing more of my vinyl collection since there is as much interest in that as Mexico. BTW was is PTX?
be well. thanks for the update. are you meeting up with Paco Ojeda? If you don't know him, he does a facebook show called coffee and headlines everyday.
Hi Shean, I am not familiar with Paco Ojeda. I will primarily be there for dental work so I will have less social time to spend. Thanks for watching my video.
Hey Andy, I enjoy your videos and information you provide! Hope you continue to make videos in the future. In one of your videos, you were in Guadalajara with a great view, and said it was your new favorite. I can not find that video but would love to know where it wa. I headed there for a couple on my way to Ajijic. Thanks Rob
Hey Rob, Thanks for watching my videos! Sounds like a great trip in front of you. Here is the link to that Guanajuato video you asked about: ruclips.net/video/l6ZrdOiISZU/видео.html
@@timelesstravelclub6240 I hope you are having a blast! I sure wish I was there. There's something that changes in you just as you step off the airplane. It's magical. It must be the moisture in the warm air and all the palm trees. I LOVE IT! I can't get enough.
It's good to see you again. Thought of you often. We spent a month in Mixico: San Miguel de Allende, Ajijic, Mexico City, and Puerto Vallarta. Then 3 weeks in Hawaii: Ohau, Maui, and Hawaii. April we going to Europe, river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest. Then doing with traveling for a while. Looking forward to whatever you would have to post on your PV visit.
Good to see you are doing well Andy! I am leaving Canada in exactly 50 days to retire in Mexico. I was watching your channel along with Tangerine Travels, The Kenetic Kennons, J. C. Travel Stories and many more You Tubers over the last few years and you are all responsible for this decision. I want to thank you for opening my mind to Mexico. I started to visit Mexico and I can see myself living there so I applied for permanent residency and am on my way. Wishing you the very best in your retired life, and look forward to what you may post in the future. 👍
@@timelesstravelclub6240 - I am starting out in Huatulco for the reason that I know a few people there. I am not committed on staying there long term however, I want to see much more, so, with any luck I may have quite a few places to call home in Mexico over the next few years.
@@HuatulcoGuy I love your posts here... I am hoping to head to Mexico again soon... So much to see! I would love to hear what you think of Huatulco? Just seems almost TOO warm for me as I am from the PNW... Canada is just a 6 hour drive or so from here... maybe not even that. So far I am looking into Atlixco, Puebla or maybe Puebla City area. :)
@@hivolco151 - Yes, you are quite right. The heat and humidity in a place like Huatulco can be oppressive to say the least. From my time there I know some people can adjust to it while others just cannot. I'm going to give it a try and if it does not work out then I will move on to a more temperate climate. I have also been looking at Puebla as a possible future home. Also San Luis Potosi, Aquas Caliente, Taxco and Morellia, among others. La Paz looks nice too. You get heat there but much less humidity. So many options! 🇲🇽 I hope you find your "happy place".😎
Andy - great to hear from you! I am also a big fan of Jenny and Kevin. I really enjoy the depth that they bring to videos about Mexico thanks to their language skills and family connections. Now, sir, as a fellow baby boomer - who has seen many of those classic rock bands live in the 70s and 80s - I have to say - try some new stuff (for Pete's sake)! I like to support emerging artists who are still creating (especially because I can see four live concerts by new bands for the cost of one "legacy" concert by Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Paul MacCartney, etc). Here are some suggestions for music that will work for your boomer ears: Lord Huron, Sam Outlaw, Ryan Adams, Sturgill Simpson, Leon Bridges, The National, Brothers Osborn, etc. (We have seen the first six live in Vancouver and they were all great!) Another suggestion, since you like Led Zeppelin - Robert Plant and Alison Kraus. I love the fact that he has matured into Americana/ roots music (rather than touring the same old 70s stuff). Anyway, have fun in PV - so many great restaurants! Try Maria Baja Tacos for lunch (on hwy 200 just above the romantic zone). They have tacos options where they use thinly sliced jicama instead of tortillas and offer an amazing selection of home made salsas (passion fruit, even). Buen viaje!
Hey Dan, Thanks for the music recommendations. I will definitely check them out once I’m home again. Wow! PV is bursting at the seams right now with Canadians! This place is packed and the locals are very happy.
WOW Andy, glad to see you again, you should do at least one video a month no matter the subject. Your going to be close to my neighborhood here in Bucerias. First time I went to Acapulco was when I was 18 in 1967, always wanted to stay in that hotel. Take care and best to you.
Great to see you, following all your recommendations you suggested 👍🏻, was in Acapulco in January stayed at Elcano Hotel, great staff there. Looking forward to more of your videos.
I was just wondering about you a day or two ago!! It’s good to hear you’re doing well and enjoying life. I’m back in Cuernavaca, which in many ways seems so far away from “things”. Will check out the RUclipsrs you mentioned! Let us know how the dentist goes!! Best of luck to you!!
I’ve heard so many good things about this dentist so we’ll see how it goes. All I know is the price tag is so much less than what I would pay at home. Thanks for checking in, Josefina.
Wow! Have a great time. Everyone is different but watching the cliff divers are a must. I enjoy meals in the sand at the restaurant La cabaña on Caleta beach. I would recommend visiting TripAdvisors Acapulco forum. There are a lot of recommendations there as well as experts for any questions while you’re there.
Great video Andy. Do you plan on staying in California as a retiree? any intentions on relocating to Mexico? I lived in San Diego a long time back and loved it, however couldnt afford it these days and I am sure the environment has changed over the years.
Hey Daniel - I will surely stay in California where most of my family are with an occasional border crossing on an as needed basis. San Diego is amazing but well over my pay grade. Thanks for watching!
Still no Mazatlán! Lol. You know, you can take a nice bus up here from Puerto Vallarta! I stayed in the Fiesta Americana in November - it was nice, but I was on a lower floor and the view wasn't nearly as good as the one you just showed! They had an onsite doctor doing the covid tests which was VERY appreciated as I was headed to the USA after Acapulco. Anyway, feel free to do a video of Puerto Vallarta! And give me a shout if you want to see Mazatlán and need a couch to crash on for a couple of days.
Haha... How you doin' Brett. You're not the only one busting my chops about Mazatlan. And now that I am traveling less I don't see it in my immediate future. Buut YOU NEVER KNOW.
@@timelesstravelclub6240 I am just going to say that when you go to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán is just an inexpensive 7 hour bus ride away - and plane tickets can be booked arriving at one place and leaving from another ;) It's a 24 hour bus ride from Acapulco ...
