Graves Of The Top Nazis Still Exist Today!

  • It may be surprising, but at the end of the Second World War and in the years following there have been many high ranking Nazi members and people involved in Hitler's government who were buried after death. They were not cremated, and still today their bodies exist in graves on earth. Even the Head of the SS Heinrich Himmler was buried in secret, and Reinhard Heydrich had his grave allegedly broken into recently. But there are many more high ranking Nazis that have graves, and there have been some who's coffins have even been opened.

don't use AI narration. It totally sucks and no matter how good the content, it is intolerable and impossible to follow in a couple minutes. It really sucks. Use a real voice and the pphrasing and iintonation will at least be natural. Mistakes are far more acceptable than the awful sing-song of artificial narration.

When I was a kid there we lived one town over from where a WWII P.O.W. camp was located. German prisoners were taken here to the U.S. and kept prisoners for the duration of the war and a little beyond. We used to visit the place when I was a kid to hunt for souvenirs. But at the corner of the former camp behind an old rusted four foot high chain link fences was a small cemetery. This is where they buried the P.O.W.'s who had died while in custody. Not a huge number in my opinion. The camp had held over a thousand prisoners at it's height but there were only about 20 graves in the cemetery. All but three of the small concrete headstones have crosses on them. Those three have swastikas. When I told my history teacher about it a few years later he didn't believe me. He was a WWI veteran. He knew about the camp but did not believe that a camp commander would have permitted it. So we went on a short impromptu field trip, me, him, my parents and a couple of my friends who had been there before and he was astonished to see the markers. He said he thought all the markers were made of wood not concrete and thought that the swastika had been banned from P.O.W. camps in the US. So he did some further research and we went along with him to first the town's town hall then public library and then he wrote the army for information and after a few weeks we got a response and it turns out that the surviving inmates had requested permission to make concrete markers and were granted permission and that the ones with the swastikas on them were SS enlisted men who had put instead of the denomination of their religion on their paperwork they put down they were members of the NSDAP and so any who had that got a swastika on their marker instead of a cross. Besides that was impressed into the concrete when it was wet were the inmate's name and rank and year of birth and death. Ironically, there is another P.O.W. camp in the same state that had a similar cemetery and one of those graves had a wood marker that had a Star Of David on it though all those markers were wood and had long ago rotted away. What we saw were photos taken. Research showed that the person with that grave was an enlisted man who had kept his Jewish heritage a secret but when he got to the states he told the camp commander of his heritage and requested a segregated housing so as not to be kept in the same place as the others out of fear of his life. The request was granted and but he got sick from something (Unclear what) and died the following year.

Servus from the Free State of Bavaria! The video itself was educational, but as a German, I feel the pronunciation of German names could be improved. For example, at 6:01, Heinrich Himmler is pronounced incorrectly-'Heinrich' ends with a soft 'ch' sound, not a hard 'k.' Maybe it’s just me but it seems like the emphasis always tends to be placed on the wrong words - was, would, did, of, were, had, is (for example). @@GanymedeXD Its not surprising. Soilders in germany have "eternal rest" . Meaning, noomatter your country or background. Your grave HAS to reamin. Only relatives or special case by case inspections can remove such a "warrior grave".
All others have a resting periode of 30 years (for a coffin) and 25 years (for an urne). So for example, Speers wife died in late 1993, so 31 years, if noone is to die this year, the grave will be removed. Hess was removed because it was over 30 years. Some others have been removed, because the families didnt want a shrine for neo na*is to visit.
