Buy a dyson cordless vacuum. It is great and will save time and frustration. Also you can repair your living room rug with tape under the tear.

This was really nice, and I hope for more cleaning videos like this from you in the future. The vast majority of cleaning RUclipsrs seem to have newer homes without the nooks and crannies of older homes, and - as someone who lives in an old home - they aren't as satisfying or relatable to me. There is also something cool about seeing a home that has been loved for so long being cared for. I don't know if I can explain it. But thank you for this video :)

As always your videos are so inspiring. You do so much for your family and home. I often reminisce about all my mother did for our family. I never fully appreciated her until I was married with a family of my own. You have created a lovely home that is warm, comfortable and cozy. We each had chores growing up but looking back we didn't do enough for our mother. Our dad provided for us as well and was always repairing or remodeling our home. I swear we went to the lumber yard every week-end. To this day, I love the smell of lumber and going to a hardware store. Thank you for taking us along on your day. You have more energy that anyone I watch!! May God bless you and your family today and always!

Barkeeper's Friend is the only thing I've found to get iron stains out of our toilets and sink! 👍
Wow I thought you did a lot in one day , guess I’m getting old an slow almost 60 . The little fellow going after the dirt pile brought back memories of trying to high speed clean up the dirt pile before the baby reached it 😂

Bar keepers friend is only an abrasive so letting it soak doesn't do anything. I recommend combining dish soap, bar keepers friend and a little water to make a loose paste. Use with a magic eraser. Will remove everything from your tub and sink

Try wood ash instead of Barkeepers. Trust me, I don't aim to die on the hill of all natural cleaning supplies. Wood ash is an amazing cleaners for the type of job that you'd reach for barkeepers.

I got busy painting the utility room today, after filling the nail holes & sanding smooth a couple days ago. That glossy shade of off white makes the room shine and invite you in now. It's amazing what a gallon of good paint can do for morale boosting. Painting gets finished tomorrow (behind the machines and water heater, and near ceiling), and that opens up the next great project: Building solid shelves on the walls to fit our pantry & utility items nice & neatly. I'm excited for the 3rd project too: Refinishing the kitchen cabinets. They're solid wood, so I think they're worth the effort, and will really make cooking feel more delightful. Just changing the handles has already saved me from twisting my fingers in the older ones - it makes things so much easier with such small changes, one at a time
A touch of black rub and buff on the screw heads for your pocket doors and they’ll blend right in. 😊👍🌸
I wonder if you could cover the screw head with some dark rub and buff? I love being a mom/homemakers and those days where we schedule time to stop and refresh everything can be so very satisfying.

Folex upholstery cleaner works wonders, especially for light/white fabrics. A drop will literally obliterate raspberry stains from linen! Also, dreft stain remover is like magic for blood stains.
Lisa, our mother's touch is just needed in our homes. We get to it when we can. Your life I. Raising g your babies is enough to put many in bed exhausted! You are doing such a great job! Love the work you do. Barkerpers friend will even take a black ring in the toilet that won't come off with other products! Great job! Keep it coming!

Incredibly relatable video!! Using “toxic” cleaners occasionally, stuffing some things into baskets. Organizing where it matters. Thanks for the claw foot tub cleaning tips!! We’re new to having one and I’ve found it hard to keep white 🙈 especially when my husband uses it after work or my children after playing in the forest 😋
I try to use all natural cleaning supplies and make most of my own but it is so true! Some times you just have to whip out the big guns. HAHA! Thank you for your honesty and encouragement!

I try to stay with natural cleaning too but those Mr clean erasers or generic really work on the grime and build up.

Everything looks nice and fresh for fall. That’s what I’m doing today but outsides, trimming shrubs, pulling up tomato plants and flowers. It might be a little early but today is a beauty day. In other words strike when the iron is hot.

Lisa, you wore out this old lady, just watching you. I have to say, I loved seeing the difference as you gave everything a really deep scrub and decluttered. I have always enjoyed seeing the results verses how it was at the start when I scrub or sort and toss or whatever. I am amazed at all you got done in ONE DAY! My WORD! I am near twice your age and I am sure I was able to go like that in my thirties, but now, it truly takes me 3 days to do all you did in one. haha
I really love the slip covers and it is hard to believe you have used them with 7 children and they are still able to be bleached and put back on and look that great.
Loved the hardware on the door. I can rewind, so to speak, and listen to where you got them, but if you read this and have time to put it here as a reply, that would be great. My sweet husband and I are about to build a house and I liked that a lot, so may check and see if it is cost-effective to get our door hardware there.

I’m going to try the barkeepers friend on my tub! Great idea! I have hard water stains that refuse to come off with baking soda.
The cleaning is never ending, I have toddler twins that don’t stop making messes!
Try power paste and scrub mommy for hard water stains.
@@kellyprice9660 I’ve never heard of power paste. I’m in Canada so might be hard to find?
I also don’t buy many cleaning products, I try to make my own if possible.
We have very hard water in our city though so I haven’t found a natural product that works for the stains.
Same here. Natural and minimal amounts of cleaners are best. PowerPaste is made in Germany by the same maker of Scrub Mommy/Daddy. It’s a chemical free magnesium cleaning paste. In the US you can find it at Target and Walmart, occasionally on Amazon when it’s available.
