It's why Marcus says "You're Baird" in Gears 1, he saved them.
Never thought about that before
@@samuelguillen8372 Neither did I honestly, only found out until Gears Judgement. It's an interesting reference.
now that I think about it makes sense because in Gears 1 during the helicopter/Raam Killing Kim scene they never said Baird’s name out loud and Marcus all of a sudden knew who Baird was when inside the building with the berserker. Now that’s interesting
Gears judgement was definitely underrated
Bitch Pudding true gears fans would respect other fans opinions while have their own.
I do remember everyone saying liking judgment for the campaign and Overrun but that was about it
@Bitch Pudding Then you arent a true Gears fan
I liked the singleplayer
I think Gears of War Judgement deserves the rating and views it received from fans. It is the only Gears I have not beaten on its hardest difficulty. It was not hard it was just too damn boring to sit down and play for even a little bit. I had more fun with the game when I was younger but now that I am older and have better tastes this game is just completely boring. Overrun and survival are really the only fun things about Gears Judgement to me.
There’s an aftermath section in where it was cut from gears 3 where you played cole, Baird, and carmines side of things when Marcus went to go get the sub
Imagine Dee Bee playing it through insane on Solo, like most of us did lol
And doing all the declassified missions
@@mj3541 And getting 3 stars on every mission
Man that was bitch to do, but managed get through it all.
I'm convinced you stalk me
Delgatto he actually did I think
Something we dont must forget:
From now on you dont have to feel so sad when you see a Carmine die, cause they have a life insurance.
They’re making bank
I just realised something
The moment before Paduk shoots the Locust to save Loomis he's aiming the sniper a little to the left and right. Kinda like "which asshole should I kill?"
Paduk is a my favorite character. The dude fought against the COG in the pendulum war, he rocked that awesome UIR armor and he was genuine badass.
Dee Bee Geek: the declassify is there for a reason; the classified version is what baird's team did in the "official COG records" that Loomis reported. but if you do the harder "de-classified" version that is what Baird's group ACTUALLY went through...so basically Loomis didn't report the truth in the official records. you'll see as the GOW franchise goes on that there are constant hints and insinuations that the COG are assholes and are not as heroic as they are made out to be. this is highly noticeable in Gear 4 n 5 in particular.
And Gears Tactics
It's not even a big change from cannon. Not doing them and playing through a section with any weapon you want or clear weather is hardly destroying the lore.
@@SpartanChief2277 yes indeed, well said. well Prescott was...not Gabe...Gabe was cool
@@kevinjackson7169 WTF do you mean by canon, all the declassified does is give new information like "oh we met glowing grubs as well" and gives you certain requirements that are a little harder. also some of the terms are not within COG regulations; if you remember Baird said "using Locust weaponry was not allowed in the early days of COG" n i'm like um yeah...screw that...you use whatever you can.
@@IDyce88 Calm down I was agreeing with you. At 52:00 Dee Bee says "When you do them that's accurate to the lore, when you don't, then it's not." My point is they don't change enough to really be lore breaking if you don't do them.
From my point of view, I interpreted Cole’s quietness as Cole being a good boy in general so he’s understandably in a bit of shock and feeling somewhat conflicted about being arrested. At least in the tribunal scenes
The only thing I don’t like about judgment is the controls and the multiplayer
Thats two things
And how arcadic feeling the game felt. I mean who the hell came up with a stars system.
@@DanielC9507 How dare you prove my statement wrong
I do hate the star system though only if they didn't add that then the campaign would be perfect no questions asked.
@@nicholasbannana5877 fact
It was not liked because of the multiplayer, it launched with 4 maps, and it changed a lot of the formula for original gears, you spawn with one weapon, “y” switch weapons, jumping from rooftops, the multiplayer was mainly changed and people didn’t like it, the campaign was alright by most
17:56- Gears Of War: Omaha Beach.
20:50 That poor Carrier could have been so useful to the COG survivors.
What about Gears of war Judgement: Aftermath, its the dlc that you get for beating the campaign and it takes place during gears 3!!!!!!!??????
nvm i wrote this as soon as he said he beat the game, i didnt want him to skip it!!
In this episode of Top Gears of War:
*Baird becomes a war criminal, Cole bench presses Zamil Karn, and Sofia and Paduk elope in a stolen Armadillo APC.*
The best part of the game is the “aftermath” epilogue campaign, you gotta check that out
Day 21 of suggesting a Star Wars: Republic Commando playthrough.
Agreed!
Then Empire at war.
This is so funny hahaha ¿You don't give up huh?
Go play it yourself 😂
@@joaquin5929 I have, that's why I want to see his reaction. I bet all the people who asked him to play Halo or Gears of War had played those themselves.
Judgement is so underrated
It was good hearing Marcus during this story of the game. He’s one of my favorite characters
Gears of War Judgement got massively overlooked because it was released like 3 months after Gears 3, which was highly acclaimed. I bought the game back then, but did not complete for several years while waiting for Gears 4. You are right though, the game, visuals and story were absolutely fantastic for an Xbox 360 title. The game also shows Baird in a new and more respected light after completing the full story.
It released like a year & half after Gears 3
Now it’s time for the extra act of gears 3 where Baird and Cole meet up with good ol Padduk
with a side of extra thicc gears brand feels
Then... Thicc bois 4! (with an unfortunate lack of thiccness save Marcus)
Aftermath campaign
Lack of thickness? JD's fingers are bigger than the hot dogs I had for lunch 😂
Honestly, can someone explain to me what the hate was about this game? It told us a story about Baird and Cole and what they did during the early years of the war. And it establishes more lore about the series. What’s wrong with that?
People hated it like they hated Halo 4 and CoD Ghosts, because of the multiplayer and changes to the base gameplay. For Halo 4 it was the new artstyle and the additions of features like sprint, for Ghosts it was multiplayer not being fun enough, and for this it was the changes to the controls and lackluster multiplayer (I thought the multiplayer was find myself)
Changed controls, bad multiplayer and personally I wasn’t a fan of how short the levels were but that’s a personal criticism of mine
It was largely down to a huge lack of content. The campaign is short, Dee Bee finished it in two streams but had like five streams for Gears 3. There are also only four multiplayer maps which is shocking, and the multiplayer gameplay was generally lacking a lot of charm. However, I think it's unfairly hated, because the campaign is a lot of fun gameplay wise
The multiplayer is why the game gets so much hate. It didn't feel like Gears of War and felt like a cheap knockoff.
Bitch Pudding I only played the trilogy so far. But I’ve seen gameplay and I just didn’t understand the hate
Recommendation for the next couple games.
In each of these games each gun (and cannon) has a unique execution. There’s an achievement for pulling them all off, but more to the point it’s fun to see the different animations. I highly recommend trying to pull them all off in each game.
One thing I highly recommend before starting Gears 4 is to only watch the Tomorrow trailer. Some of the other trailers (particularly the launch trailer) show a surprise or two to sell the game. It would be a much better experience to go in either completely blind or only the Tomorrow trailer seen.
I actualy found this by an acident(i dont know this channel)
But since i found it...i love every vid he post
Cole is so quiet in this game even loomis makes a point about it
*GOOD Ol' DeeBee at work!* ........ I'm glad you ran through Gears of War DB
you mighta convinced ME to do a FPS (and I've never ever been drawn to, preferring RTS)
Glad you're lookin' at COD too.... it's makin me consider possibilities... I had one friend suggest I start with COD rather than Gears / HE was thinking Gears might be "too complicated" but I don't think so- when I was working in his house he brought up Gears 5.... and was showin' me some of it in action
judgement is disliked for the multiplayer.
Judgement would have been a really good free DLC of Gears 3, its still a good game on its own
The worst part of judgement was the multiplayer imo.
Cant wait to see you start the new trilogy starting with gears 4!!!
The rage he had trying to defeat Karn 😂😂
My opinion and explaining why the old fans gave the game such a bad wrap.
The Good: The campaign was fun and brought new interesting characters (officially introduced the UIR on screen) and a intimating villain. The classification missions changed it up and added interesting dialogue.
The Bad(nitpicks): Most would say, (and it’s honestly a small gripe that it really doesn’t matter) that the game broke lore because the Kantus weren’t discovered yet and the regular Lancer wasn’t invented yet. These small things can be accepted to make the game fun with familiarity.
The Bad: This new company “People Can Fly” really changed the fundamentals of the game, specifically the multiplayer. They switched half the buttons of the tack com, grenades, switching weapons, and executions. When you’ve settled with grenades, two main guns, the bottom a piston, and your left the tac com it for 10 years, it stays and it worked great. Those configurations allow you to view your person but it was changed with no reason but for Gears to compete with games that brought “new” movement and innovation to catch the views attention. Multiplayer feels almost generic, you can no longer play as the locust except in Overrun. Now it’s just human vs human than no long Man vs Monsters, and that’s what makes one of Gears’ strongest flares disappear. You can no longer get downed and instead die instantly like most games instead of possibly getting back up and making a cluche. The game is also unfair, everyone spawns with some sort of grenade load out. This means that this game has the most grenade spams and since you can’t be downed you die by just two hits. And it’s worse cause most will charge you and Two Piece you for the game having flinch animations. There’s also such a lack of characters to play as compared to all the games. Nearly half the characters are VIP or Pre Orders.
The kantus wasnt discovered yet. The dude you fight isnt kantus its karn
GEARS JUDGEMENT AFTERMATH!!!!!! DLC
I love Judgment too, very underrated game.
Paduk is my 2nd favorite character who knows alot about war. R u going to play Gears 4 and 5.
Congratulations bro. Now you do begin Gears 4 who for me is one of the best in all Gears franchise. NICE JOB BRO!!
Hello bro, your videos are the best, specially gears of war jajs
See this is why i think DeeBee is gonna really like Gears 4 as well just has alot of the stuff he looks for in a game in general always nice when someone doesn't let preconceived notions or opinions about a game get to them and they can enjoy it like this while this is still my least favorite gears game thats mainly bcuz i hated the multiplayer and the arcade style campaign with the meter at the top kind of broke the immersion for me at times but hope you enjoy the rest of the ride man while even though alot of people didnt like Judgement and to a lesser extent 4 as someone who played all the games pretty extensively i still had alot of fun with both titles and having seen you play plentyyyy of games by now i think gears 4 will be right up your alley 👌
Now you should try GoW Aftermath
black clover opening 12 ! it's out my guy!
wait until you play gears 4 and hear the names of the robot enemies.....
How have I only just realised that
Congrats now you need to play gears 4 and 5 your gunna love em
This was the first game made by Coalition and it contradicts some of the lore, previously established in the books and comics, produced in conjunction with the Epic games. This seems to happen frequently when a new studio takes over a franchise. It's like they go out of their way to deliberately fuck with the established cannon, which in turn pisses off the hardcore fan base...
This wasn't done by Coalition. This was People Can Fly as well as Epic. This was the 'last' game of Gears that was still own by Epic before they sold it fully to Microsoft.
@@Tiggy110 You are correct. I guess I should have double checked my copy of the game before I posted. Although, if anything that makes it worse. More akin to what Bungie did with Reach. I like and own both games, but I don't appreciate how they try to rewrite 'in Universe' history .
@@barrystroud4465 Yeah, Reach was pretty bad in the story telling part. Story was fine and all. Though they change a lot around to fit the game and that irks me a lot. Since I did read the books and was excited to see what they would do.
Plus, imo, Reach was when all the things that people are piss about happen. AA, Running, Loadouts. People like to blame 343 for it all, but it was bungie that started it with Reach.
Dude you should try Left 4 Dead!
YES! I agree!! Great suggestion ! Watch the cinematic’s they have and trailers cuz there’s like no cut scenes in the actual gameplay!
Wish there was a 3rd one
@@FearlessAngeI No one at steam can count to 3 lmao
For Randomsites HAHAHAA
I hope you plan to play Aftermath, that's one of the best DLCs in the series
This game was soooo good
Aftermath time
Marcus sent Cole and bird to get reinforcements in gears of war 3.
I think DB was having pasta for dinner.
Mac and cheese sticks
Spaghetti and meatballs
Loomis is the worst kind of leader, he sacrifices his own people for military objectives. Glad he died before Gears 1.
Gears of war Judgement is greatly underrated and i like what Epic games did with but it is my least favorite out all the other gears but i find it better than gears 4 and 5. I think Judgement did a well story, had a good soundtrack, awesome weapon variety and ect. What i think made hated as it is was the muiltiplayer which i did hate as well, they removed locust from it, not a big starting COG roster and even with the DLC character it was still small, the lack of maps, taking horde mode. Now there are some good stuff about which is good weapon skins and character skins, cool new modes like free for all and overrun. Overall i think Gears Judgement is a great game not it just doesn't top 1-3 for me and ik i might of missed a few bad things or good things about this game oh well i tried my best lol.
Anyone else when seeing the beaches of Onyx Point look like the beaches of Normandy during WW2?
Ngl, that intro scared tf outta me
21:29 lol 😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dee, my deees
Duuude, if you just end this game, play "Repercutions" too!
Now is aftermath in gears
judgement
18:20 WELCOME TO OMAHA BEACH PRIVATE DEEBEE!
Would be sweet if you play the Halvo Bay Gears 3 DLC, it connects Gears 3 and this game really flawlessly. Also it connects well to Gears 5
Anyway, I love your gameplays dude, keep being awesome
You can actually play as Anya and sam in gears of war 3 in co-op or multiplayer
Gears judgement was a great game, it’s not the best but it’s one of best spinoff games I’ve seen
Play the next gears on insane difficulty
9:41 that Theron is unarmed
You should make sure to play the Aftermath bonus chapter before you move on to the next game.
Don't forget about playing aftermath
AFTERMATH
Please do the aftermath segment now
Dee, you gotta react to Black Myth Sun Wukong
has anyone told dee that he can self res
You need to do the Aftermath DLC!
We need to put in a "Jesus" or "Shit" counter for future games
The biggest problem with the lore is the story of Judgement itself. This takes place immediately after E-Day, and according to the books, that's when Baird joined. But here, he's already an experienced Lieutenant. Other than that, the gameplay and overall story (if apart from the books) is amazing.
If the COG works like the US military, someone can join the military as a lieutenant if they've gotten a four-year college degree
a 4 hour long stream
tings
Ok serious question. I want to record on my xbox and make vids as well how do i do that?
Please do the aftermath campaign next in gears judgment
You should give oxygen not Included a try and react to the update animation videos they do
Pretty good man... Try red dead redemption 2
I recommend playing borderlands
Once again I’m shocked that at this point nobody has n his chat has told him he can get himself up buy pressing a repeatedly if he doesn’t move
Most of the things that the fans were angry about was in the multiplayer since they really changed the plays style from cover based to more of a run and gun like CoD. But the story was alright, this wasn’t the first game that you were able to okay as a female, in gow 3 if you played in co-op you were able to play as anya and Sam.
Ok now gear 4 🤙🏻
Are you going to do the Aftermath campaign DLC?
Lol
I missed your streams lately so I can only enjoy it like this but keep up the good work
U should be react to all gears of war executions
Most of the hate for this game came from the multiplayer side of things not the campaign. It didn't feel like gears it felt like a knockoff.
There’s actually a list I think Looper, that Karn is the easiest boss in Gears. I called bullshit on that list.
Some say Colonel is an idiot, to me he has balls. Big Balls. A Savage that gave no fucks. Dude actually fought.
i know i already ask this but im not sure if you seen it would you ever play the game called "cold winter" for the ps2?
im sure you will like it a lot!
Are you going to play Gears Aftermath now?
Play silent Hill 1/2 or darkwood, kuon (ps2)
As a long Gears fan, I loved the game. But I wasn’t feeling the multiplayer and I believe many fans didn’t like it.
Few maps, and maps weren’t that great. But I was more of a campaign guy. I enjoyed it.
Gears 4! Porfavor
Insane karn with the mission is bs you pretty
much get arrow up your butt everytime you leave cover
Wasn't Loomis eventually assassinated by RAAM?
No. He was killed by regular locust troops when Halvo bay fell in hands to the locust
So the reason why Gears Judgement is so hated is for a number of reasons.
1: What came before.
So we had gears 3 with the best campaign ever. With a season pass with plenty of multiplayer content and maps. Gears judgement on the other hand was released for the same price (60$) and a season pass for 30$ just as gears 3 did. The only difference being that gears judgement was released with only 4 multiplayer maps and 3 maps for a new game mode called overrun. So in total 7 maps. Wich means a lack of content compared to gears 3 that had 10 multiplayer maps at launch (for the same price btw). By the time Judgement was released Gears 3 had 25 multiplayer maps to play on.
2. The changes.
The total removal of having 2 weapons and a pistol, now reduced to only 2 weapons and no pistol at all. Spawning with grenades wich used to be a pick up on the map, resulting in grenade spam and promoting bad gameplay. The removal of DBNO in multiplayer, this totally changed the whole meta of the game and removed the very thing that made gears unique in the first place. The total removal of being able to play as the locust in versus multiplayer, so cog vs cog (lame). This lead to the multiplayer not having that many playable characters. It had the smallest roster of characters to choose from in a gears game. This was recived as the worst gears multiplayer experience in gears history. Classic game modes like Guardian, Execution and Koth missing. Not to mention the fact that when the first dlc map pack rolled out, it was impossible to find games, because everyone was already bored of playing the same 4 maps over and ovar again. No one was gonna pay extra money for a game with worse gameplay and maps then the previous title. So naturally everyone went back to gears 3.
3. The campaign.
The campaign was so forgettable with no memorable moments. Story being "meh" at best. Why? Because the characters barely interact with eachother, cole not being cole, no one reacts to the situation they are in and no banther between characters, making everything feel very dull. Not to mention the repeated hold down this area and deploy turrets, over and over again. I can list a ton more but these are the big main reasons. Most of them are multiplayer related and if you just want to play the campaign, then I guess the game is aight. But all other gears games outshine this one for sure.
17:37 Thicc of War D-Day
You didn't finish the campaign, it has more to it
The problem is not the campaign, which is good, is the multiplayer. Complete different maps structure, change in the controls, the way this game played was so different that this wasn't Gears anymore. They even delated locust from multiplayer, wtf.
