Lizzy, an Aussie here. I defend you because you tell the truth, not because I love China. It is just another country that is doing well and takes care of people.
The real freedom is that your government really cares about the people. The indication is that you don't have to worry about living cost and medical care because they are so affordable, and you may live well with minimum wage and still have some money left to save at the end of each month. Btw, to say you can't criticize the government in China isn't entirely true. The Chinese government has a kind of channel for the people to lodge their complaints and to criticize the government as a kind of evaluation. Not so long ago, people who were fed up with the lockdown went on to the street and even demanded President Xi to resign. The rest is history
what you have said is just partly correct, it is right that there is some kinds of channel for citizens to report what they are not satisfied with the government, back to certain bureaus of the government, but what you said about the lock down stuff is absolutely wrong, it happened in few different cities, which all have the US embassy in it, covered up as local college students protest against the lockdown policy, which found out most of those people are not local at all and got paid by some foreign NGOs communicating through facebook and whatapp. So guess why they demanded a resignation.
I live in San Francisco Bay Area. When I came here in 1980s, the Bay Area Rapid Transportation (BART) was nice and clean. There were no homeless people. @@loremasteringwion9930 In the American system, people are individuals and advocate personal freedom. In China, people are groups and seek harmony and win-win. Restricting certain personal freedoms is exchanged for group freedom: you can walk around the park safely at 3 a.m., and people are not troubled by guns, drugs, and riots. In China, everyone has the personal freedom they deserve.
@@loremasteringwion9930 Does the Freedom in the US includes recently prosecuting a political opponent under false pretences whilst the main culprit (Current President) gets away? Or how about Silencing and falsely accusing people like Journalists like Julian Assange of Assault without evidence and jailing him without trial? Freedom only if it fits the Western Warmongering Narrative right according to you?
In the US, we have the freedom to have guns. In China, you have freedom from guns. We protect the illusion that everyone is more important than all others combined. We feel powerful because we could buy a gun, even though most don't. I suspect it's just a metaphor for having a different kind of rigid tube. We think we're so important that traffic exists to delay us, so we don't see that we are traffic. Somehow, nearly all of us are above average drivers. We want cameras to identify criminals, and we don't want to be watched by cameras. We want significantly more wealth than average with no thought to others having less. We think we can make the government behave by voting for the opposing party again. We're tightly bound by regulations so plentiful that no lawyer could learn them all, yet we pretend we have absolute freedom, even as we obey the laws we know about. Western values make no sense. We accept them like a religion. They generate emotional reactions, we have faith that our way is best, and anyone who questions it is regarded as an evil outsider, amoral and dangerous. And much like the crusades, we create great suffering by forcing our values on others, not stopping until the whole world has "freedom" and "democracy". If Western values appear to make no sense, then it's possible you understand them better than most of us.

People in western countries are very concerned about the freedom to protest against the government because there are insufficient channels for them to express their opinions and get response from the government effectively. In China, people can complain about whatever problems they encounter easily, via phone calls, emails or WeChat, etc. The responses from the officials are amazingly fast, especially when compared with any other countries.

There are affordable public education system, healthcare system, transport system, housing and basic public amenities available in the country. With minimal crimes, drugs abuses, homelessness, and a harmonious and peaceful environment to live and thrive. They can freely and can afford to travel outside of China at least once a year to enjoy life & see the World.
All those troll questions are not even worth the time, even mentioning Lizzy, it's great work what you do on your channel, to break down the mouths about China, or I should say, the stereotypical, prejudiced, almost racist, views majority have on China. You're absolutely right, you can't really judge a whole race of people, country, if these people have not even been to said country. I myself have been to China couple times, once for vacation, other times I went strictly for business, a lot has changed in China, I remember I was staying at a hotel, near an exhibition, trade show, my relative who was traveling with me, took me to a local restaurant not far from my hotel, we ate Muslim style curry soup noodles, which was really cheap at that time, it was so delicious 😋. That was somewhere in Shanghai, if I remember correctly. I love your channel & your vibe Lizzy, I only wish I could go back to my roots in Guanhzhou & live there in Guanhzhou. That's my ancestral home.
As a Chinese,I'd like to thank you like other foreigners who report and share real China,to let the outer world know that China is totally not what western media reported and can change a little bit for China's perspective! Our government is focusing on our own business, like how to develop economy, improve the environment, get people's life more easier and better.Of course,in China not easy to criticize government in social media because the comments will be deleted or blocked eventually if the comment is quite negative, but not always! And no worries, you will not be punished even if you make a bad comment for 1~2 times, just comment blocked.
Actually, it’s not true that China does not allow protests. The right to protest is imbedded in the constitution. Take for eg. the Covid protests. Was anyone arrested? No. The right to protest and the right to freedom of religion are both in the constitution.
In fact, Chinese people don't really care what the rest of the world thinks; they're just concerned about whether their own lives are getting a little better each day.
Your mom is correct with her famous comment. Don't worry about the haters. Living with so much hate isn't the way to go but that is on them. Not you. Stay happy!
I am Chinese and have been to lots of places in and out of China. About the freedom of speech: In China actually you can say bad things about the Chinese government no matter online or offline. Unless you are telling lies and cause serious consequence, no one get punished based on my own experience and knowledge. Don't tell me the fake stories about Xinjiang or other shit so, if the freedom of speech is defined that one can say anything includes telling lies......emm..maybe not very free here. and think about US, a land in which people are proud of FREEDOM of SPEECH, people get car accidents, heart attacks, suicides, helicopter crashes....and so on so on.....if, for example, the Boeing engineer who wanted to tell the TRUTH !!!! Now he can never say a word..
Lizzy, you're doing great and don't allow the China haters out there to getting on your nerves. Stay strong and thank you for making all these positive videos on China.
No harm in trying. The message gets through to people eventually, even if they sound unconvinced at the time. I suspect people who are angry at their own lives are projecting it onto China. There must be an interest on some level, otherwise they wouldn't keep coming back. Maybe they subconsciously know something is wrong with their core values and assumptions, and they resent the country which causes this inner conflict. Maybe feeling inadequate makes them angry. In either case, if they keep challenging themselves by challenging China, they stand a chance at resolving what's bothering them by accepting the truth.

If people have no say in how the government is organized, it is understandable why some people would rather live in a country where the government cannot judge him but he can judge the government.
There is a prerequisite for the effectiveness of the democratic system: no money politics. Democracy is when politicians represent the interests of the people, but in fact most candidates are chosen by capital interest groups, and voting is actually electing the master. There is an interesting survey in the United States: the bills that are implemented in the United States have a lot to do with the demands of capital groups, and almost nothing to do with the demands of the people. The United States calls it Democracy, but in fact it is Plutocracy. In addition, there are always more stupid people than smart people. Don't think that your vote is "sacred", because there are more stupid votes.
If the government can't serve the people, it is understandable why some people would rather live in a country where the government can judge the lobby but the lobby can't judge the government.🤓

Thanks Lizzy for your information, for the truth, I love China👍
Thank you for showing & talking about the real China. There's too much western media bias against a country which has spent the last 20 or 30 years on self improvement & not interfering in other countries.
China has been constantly interfering into other countries internal affairs.
Always enjoy your videos. Keep going!

Lizzy is becoming more and more familiar with China, I wish you a happy life in China.
And as for the talk of no internet freedom, I was able to access the internet freely although most of the internet I was mainly using was for Meituan to order food and drinks, order for DiDi private hire cars for transportation, purchase HSR and metro tickets, paying for small ticket retail items. There was no need to carry cash. Just a phone and digital currency.
Lizzy, I'm going to again say you go girl China is just how your describing it. Been here almost 2 weeks now with almost 2 weeks to go on this trip. I been here b4 & love it. Best thing about China is NO STRESS. Daily expenses are heaps cheaper too. (An Aussie)
Go on Lizzy...get rest when you're Dizzy😂. You are right : telling the truth is freedom. Telling a lie you have to make another lie to cover it. Wish you find all the best😊
In a nutshell , Mr & Mrs Jealousy are driving China haters crazy 😊. Cheers to good health 🥂🇸🇬
If this is what you think freedom is, then you truly have no understand of what freedom really is.
@@loremasteringwion9930 I really want to know. What freedom really is?
Good job Lizzy keep up the good job ,like your youtube content so useful for us to know how great is China❤

I moved from the U.S. to Thailand and it was the best decision of my life. Thailand is even better than I expected. Many of my friends and family, thought I was crazy to leave America but I'm very happy enjoying my retirement in Thailand.
There is a Complaint Letter and Request Handling Office in each County/City/Province in China.
Complaint can also be made through your electoral representative.. See if he fulfils his obligations.

Generally to most Chinese in China, freedom and human rights means they have a decent job or business which earns them an annual income to enable them to live a reasonably good life.
There are affordable public education system, healthcare system, transport system, housing and basic public amenities available in the country.
With minimal crimes, drugs abuses, homelessness, and a harmonious and peaceful environment to live and thrive.

Go girl, keep the good work, other people eat u r heart out!
Another great video Lizzy! Can't wait to visit China in the near future.

Liz, just continue with your great work and ignore the China haters.

About the freedom of speech: In China actually you can say bad things about the Chinese government no matter online or offline. Unless you are telling lies and cause serious consequence, no one get punished based on my own experience and knowledge.
Don't tell me the fake stories about Xinjiang or other shit
so, if the freedom of speech is defined that one can say anything includes telling lies......emm..maybe not very free here.

people get car accidents, heart attacks, suicides, helicopter crashes....and so on so on.....if, for example, the Boeing engineer who wanted to tell the TRUTH !!!! Now he can never say a word..

Thank you for telling the truth about China !
You will never be able to wake up somebody who pretends to be asleep, nor will you satisfy an ungrateful soul…
