    No country is perfect. No matter where you live, you can always find things to complain about.
    There are plenty of things to complain about in America, Canada, Britain, France, Germany, etc. (I'm Canadian.)
    If it weren't for my social ties to my home country, I'd be happy to move to China. Learning the language would be a challenge, but that would be true in any non-Anglo country.

    As a Chinese, I want to explain that Chinese people can criticize the government. For example, if some local governments do something bad, such as corruption, dereliction of duty, abuse of power for personal gain or other things that harm your rights, you can post your criticism online, and the government will also pay attention to these online news and solve them. In China, the Internet is also a very important channel for supervising government. Even if you criticize the chairman, it doesn't matter. At most, your comments will be deleted. I can guarantee that the government will not arrest you.😂😂

  • @bobol326
    @bobol326 День назад +12

    you can criticize the gorvernment in China, if you read Chinese you would see plenty of criticism on the gorvernment/policies in the Chinese internet every day.
    but you freedom of speech is limited as you are not allowed to launch personal insults against people or make up rumor, or openly stirring up a riot against the gorverning system.

    Hi Lizzy, just let you know all Chinese citizens are allowed to criticize government. It's even protected by law, so long as such criticizes are genuine, constructive and fact-based. Indeed, there is an ultimatum that if any Chinese citizen making accusation of any government department and / or officials of any wrongdoing by disclosing his/her real full name and identity number through public channel including online social media, the government must take action to investigate and disclose the outcome to the public. This is some sort of unique way of transparent governance exercised here. Anyway, thanks for sharing your life in China. Enjoy your clips always. 👍

    Fyi Lizzie, one can complain about the govt and submit a written complaint too via the local community leader or local municipality. In fact there are hundreds of thousands of complaints. If the complaints are valid, it is resolved without having to go to Parliament or Congress (for US) where politicians trade insults at each other or in the case of US, politicians talk about this or that nation has violated human rights, freedom or democracy or who to sanction or is national threat, and at the end of the day, nothing is resolved.

    Almost all traffic lights in Canada are dumb; they change according to a preset program whether there are cars or not in that direction. Moreover, Canada almost entirely consists of level crossings, leading to severe traffic congestion, especially during rush hour, as you have to watch a green light given to an empty intersection. The set program also seems very arbitrary, with some neighborhood side roads getting a green light for as long as 35 seconds. This outdated traffic light system turns a 70 km/h expressway into an average 50 km/h slow lane. What's worse, no one seems to mind the increasingly worsening traffic jams and congestion.

Some are just complaining about something not foreigners friendly, some , as always talk about politics from the western medias potrayed even their body on the ground in China, they constantly believe the western medias. One guy even attacked me and replied me “ I am live in China, I know how the government controll the people “ etc . I am strongly not happy about Chinese government give them the opportunity to make money , back in 2008 , several Americans, Australians , Canadians tought English in beijjng and finger point China this bad , China that bad . Most of them admitted they returned the debt of their own country either students loans or credit cards debt, and they take it granted

    Lizzy why you also believe Chinese can’t criticize the government? We criticize government every day since I am child back in 1980s , today Internet you can see millions of people criticize government every day, we just not allowed to overthrow the government just like any countries including USA . Keep social security and stability has been a basic principles since 1989 , keep the social security and stability in xinjiang is top priority since 2009 the Terrorism happened in xinjiang funded by the “ obvious country” which constantly make color revolution all over the world if the leader won’t follow “him “ . You know who I means
