    The stand out to me is fangio used ramsey terribly, never blitzed and made questionable defensive calls but miamis real issue was the offense fell apart. Fangio def wasnt the big problem with the team

    So after the Eagles quit on their coaches last year because they didn't buy into the defensive scheme, the solution is to bring in a coach who just got let go because the players didn't buy into his scheme. And bonus, he runs the same basic defense as the guy the Eagles defense quit on last season.
    Sounds like a good plan.

      Fangio lost Chubb and Phillips and didn't adjust to help the D-line. With no adjustments, Allen, Mahomes and Lamar had a picnic behind their O-line.

      @@cnelsonlv99 You may be right, but from what I heard, he kept his word that he made to Dolphins brass last year. The opportunity came up for the Eagles last year, but because he gave his word, he honored it. For the 1st year with this defense, i'd say he did pretty well, but his family and heart belonged to Philly. Good for him, I wish him the best.

      I doubt it. The Dolphins coach seems like the kinda guy that needs the frequency of his team and players to be on point. If the players isn't on point it's time to get it all back on point.

    So tired of this team already. Fangio had the defense playing it's best in years and the players are going to give an ultimatum? I don't think so. This team doesn't deserve him.
    Glad he's back in PA where he belongs. He'll get the respect he deserves and not have to put up with a bunch of crybabies. I'll be rooting for the Eagles. I'm finished with this Dolphins team who would rather defend a mediocre quarterback and horrible GM than win a Superbowl

      Miami cut Fangio loose because (a) he sucked, (b) the players didn't like him, (c) the coaches didn't like him. He's an over-rated douchebag!

    Jalen Ramsey has attention issues. He's caused turmoil everywhere he's been. People talk about Jim Harbaugh wearing on people...there are players throughout the league who are like that and he's one of the main ones.

      This wasn't only Ramsey! Fangio was a problem... I'm a Dolphins fan, and was glad when they hired him, but after what I saw from him this season, and after hearing what players thought of him... I'm fine with him leaving.

      @@micahturner8297if you watched any of the dolphin games near the end of the season you’d understand how many of us dolphin fans were so upset with the defense secondary. Fangio say it was either his way or no way. Having Ramsey guard wr3 or wr4 for many games is pointless. Having xavien Howard who’s been banged up all season getting burnt by wr1. Having Eli apple getting burnt play after play and not making any adjustments. Benching Cam smith who’s proven to be a stud because you have disagreements with him.. It’s like ordering food at a restaurant the chef says no you’re gonna eat this instead.

    Everyone knew when Eagles DC Job opened up that Fangio would end up leaving Miami for the Eagles as he wanted to be closer to home and would have taken the Job last off season if Jonathon Gannon didn’t reneged on him staying with Philly
    Most DB’s don’t like playing for Demanding Coaches who want stress Physicality and Discipline for an old School Coach like Fangio

    As someone who found his way in his field without a mentor. You don't always need an old guard type around. They can infact create lots of toxicity if you mix one with the wrong coaching staff. Ego and experience are not the same thing

    I think Staley is gonna be the one in Miami because Ronaldo Hill used to work for him with the chargers and remember big Vangjel bought Ronaldo back home to Miami, so it just makes sense

    You got that right, secondary players weren't into fangio, he didnt let them be lazy. They wanted to feed their ego's and stats, not being team players. They soft arm tacklers and this defense wont ever be considered top tier. Too SOFT. 😕

    I'm a Dolphins fan, and I'm fine with them cutting Fangio loose. Wasn't impressed by what I saw from his game-planning or in-game adjustments, at all... and the few times I saw interviews with him he seemed like a douchebag! I've come to the conclusion he is massively over-rated! However, I hope they find someone better than Brandon Staley. I know he has a history with Ramsey, but I think they can get someone better.

    Fangio prolly looks at the CBs as the divas of the defense. It’s some really good ones who not divas but look at how many teams Ramsey been on he’s a diva getting paid 20 mil per and still complaining Smfh can’t make this stuff up.

    Dolphins have soft players, and Grier is a joke. He should have been fired years ago. Fangio said in training camp that he needed more players to fit his scheme. Dolphins always bad mouth people when they leave. That is way veteran coaches stay away from the front office

    Dolphins have some childish men on their team.....guys that need attention and don't want to deal with anything uncomfortable.....but they're payed really big money to handle those issues. With that said....im glad Fangio moved on because its the culture there to not give your best if you don't like the staff. They need more guys like Wilkens....he just goes out there and plays hard every down. That tv show was part of their downfall..... they became individual celebrities instead of team players.

    Fangio was never going to go to Miami. He only went because Gannon held out. Also Miami’s defense was banged up.

    I mean, in no way am I surprised that the secondary is the unit that had the most issue with Fangio or will I defend his strategy with them (was my main defensive complaint this season).
    But I do want to point out that Cam Smith absolutely played snaps this year. They were usually in garbage time, and there were times I could not believe they weren't putting him out more. But you can see him on the field during Holland's 99-yd pick-6 in the Black Friday game. I don't know what his actual stats were, good or bad, but he did get out there a little.

    I’m a dolphins fan fyi. McDaniels is soft. Trying to be everyone’s friend. Works for awhile then players lose respect. Fangio is old school

    I’m not gonna lie I’m a diehard Miami Dolphins fan and I love McDaniels but the post perfect coach for Miami with two his arm is tiny and our defense will be Belichick and I hate him. He has disappointed me for 20 years plus but he could step right in and have success.

    Although Fangio had the defense playing much better once Ramsey got back and everything this is a much better long term solution for us. We need someone who can gel with McDaniels and someone who can run a great defense while getting along with the players and listening to feedback on improving the defense week in and week out

      Don’t speak for the eagles. Fangio was a consultant for that bozo Gannon who was tampering with the cards during the Sb. Which caused eagles to miss out on fangio. Gannon inability to adjust and stop one specific play caused eagles to lose not an consultant

      Yea, that's obviously bull$hit... at least the part about saying no because they were planning to offer Tua $45M. Also, what players were they going to get with that money? Those injuries all happened in the last 6 weeks of the season... mostly in the last 3 weeks. Also, Fangio didn't leave because he was unhappy... he was allowed to leave, because the team and players were unhappy. Even other coaches didn't like his attitude and approach.

      Fangio $hit the bed this season... pure and simple! The players didn't make him game-plan and call plays the way he did, and all you had to do was watch what he was scheming to know... he $hit the bed! Glad he's gone... he was a massive disappointment! Feel sorry for whatever team gets him next...

    Seems the phins are devolving into the Jets right before our eyes. Right now in the AFC East this is the best news for the Bills. They seem to be the only team in that division that's not a tire fire.

    Eagle's defense was great in the first half of the superbowl but the second half was a lot to be desired only because the refs cheated them out of a championship it was rigged

    Guys out of position, no press , no blitzing, no man-to- man and not blanket covering opposing teams' best WR with Ramsey and then that guy has the game of his life(except when Ramsey shadowed Garret Wilson where had 1 catc h)...bend but font break and then finally....Break
