In the middle of January 2024, I and 50 plus people are going on a tour organised by a priest. My first pilgrimage! We will be going to Rome, Assisi, Rotondo, Milan, Fatima, Paris, Lourdes, and many more places. 18 days. I am very excited. How wonderful you are able to travel so often. 👍😁 Peace be with you and keep safe during these uncertain times. 🙏🏻💕🤗

He’s buried in St. Paul’s Outside the ancient Aurelian walls. At some point do the SCAVI under St. Peter’s look it up . We’ve done it 3 times. Takes about 50 minutes and it’s life changing. You go right to St. Peter’s tomb !!! We could be guides in rome. Feel free to write to us anytime. Good luck in 2024 !
All Glory to God for the ministry He gives you to continue to shepherd and catechize. As you describe the Holy Spirit brings to mind a few things, “our silence is deafening”. The fable, “If you plunge them into boiling water they'll immediately jump out. But if you place them into room temperature water and slowly heat it to boiling, the frog won't notice and will slowly cook to death.” Lastly, Fr. Billy Kosko in his homily “decrying pro abortion Catholics” he says, “it’s snowing” as many on the bus trip to krakow couldn’t believe that “society” would allow this to happen (the atrocious incineration of Jews causing it to seemingly snow in summer) but “civilized society” allows the mass murder of millions of innocent babies in their mothers womb. Lord have mercy. Fr. Meeks, I pray daily for the conviction of doing what’s right and just. Asking God for an abiding will. “If we are not a part of the solution; then we are part of the problem.” I pray that we by the love for Jesus Christ and His Divine Mercy that we wake up each morning in thanksgiving putting on the Armor of God (Rosary in hand) ready for the Good Fight of His Greater Glory and Majesty. By God’s Grace may it be so. Amen.
Great message. I once mentioned to a friend who is a bit of an agnostic, definitely not a Christian, that we are in a sense hard-wired to believe in God and crave a relationship with Him and even those who reject God seek out someone or something to satisfy that need. Well, that resulted in a rather heated exchange. I mention this because people are not only willing to accept lies, they often prefer them. This is not some new revelation. Plato wrote about this thousands of years ago in his Allegory of the Cave. When I was an undergrad I took a course in astronomy. We studied the origin of the universe and I was told that, at least at that time, theoretical physicists had determined that particles and elements emanating from the Big Bang had traveled faster than the speed of light, a phenomena they called hyper-inflation. Now, why did they believe the universe broke it's own speed limit, something that had been deemed a cosmological constant? Because they needed it to make their theoretical model model work. Just like there are many willing to accept the idea that there are multiple universes out there, we just can't see them. Why? It fits in with the rest of their theories. Now, they have no proof that the multi-verse theory or hyper-inflation are correct, but some are so wedded to the idea that science must prevail over religion that they will accept those notions as they scoff at the idea of a Creator, dismissing it as superstitious nonsense from an age less enlightened than the one they believe they have created. And why did the FBI identify the Catholic Church in particular as a potential enemy of the state? Because it poses the greatest threat to their plans for a better world based on secular principles. I'm not saying all Protestant churches are more in-line with the post-modernist agenda or that all Catholic parishes are beacons of virtue in a world getting crazier by the minute, but the Catholic Church has always been a target of authoritarian regimes and dictators. A simple examination of Stalin's takeover of Eastern Europe in the aftermath of WWII reveals that. And what kept resistance alive in places like Poland and Czechoslovakia once the state became supreme? The underground churches, many of which were started and led by Catholic Priests. Modern-day wannabe rulers who are striving for a one-world government, or at least consolidated power in the West certainly understand the threat, so does their spiritual father who has fought the battle against God for our souls for a very long time. And since we are prone to believe lies, and often prefer them, that leaves us in a precarious position. Stay strong. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you strength and trust in God. Believe the words of Christ, not his archrival. The times will only get worse before they get better. As Father Meeks says, gird your loins, we are on the front-line whether want to be or not. A time for choosing.
They are still married and have grown children, as well as grandchildren. It is unusual, but Pope Benedict allowed this, for which Fr. Meeks is grateful. Should his wife predecease him, he cannot marry again.
