If you look at father Mike's eyes you can tell he lacks sleep, but the lacking of sleep means he puts so much effort in serving God. Father Mike we all have you in our thoughts of prayers. May you continue to serve God Faithfully till the end.
I agree with you.
I agree. Fr. Mike needs more sleep
Yes I thought that too- this poor man needs a holiday and a good rest, God bless him and all priests❤️🙏so glad too he has a fraternity
Yes. Beautifully said. So very true. Prayers for Fr. Mike. And all priests and the sacrifices they make.
Exactly that is what I was thinking 🙏
Fr Mike is a gem. He is authentic, funny, friendly and so easy to listen to. He helped me get back into Catholicism after years of dilly-dallying in my faith. Now I’m learning all kinds of Catholic things, reading the Bible, doing the Cathecism, and walking with Christ in large part thanks to him 😀
Me too 😍😍😍😍
Same!!
As a cynical Evangelical and reeling first time mother, Fr. Mike was the first thing that came up on RUclips after a counselor told me to search for videos about "Forgiveness". For some reason, when Fr. Mike said there was a God...I wanted it to be true. When Fr. Mike said God loved me...I really wanted that to be true as well. Chris is spot on-- it's not that Fr. Mike is awesome or a "rockstar" as much as it's that God really, really wants to say something powerful and this person is who I'm hearing it through. I can't believe I'm about to say this but I am crawling back to my faith thanks to internet ministries like Ascension, Poco a Poco, and RealLifeCatholic and, err...ummmm...... thank God??? 😅
God really does rock.
Adorably funny story! 🙏🙃
Yes Thank God. May the Holy Spirit fill you with His Powerful Love.
Praise God and your openness to listen to His voice!!
Back to Catholicism?
Fr Mike helped me finally (at age 56) finish my entire bible last year and this year (age 57), I am on the dot with my Catechism in a Year which will end on 31 Dec 2024. I will always, always be grateful. I follow Chris too. God bless them both. I live in a Muslim country in Asia (9,300 miles away) and I ❤ both of them.
Thank God for your Love of Him
Praying for you ! 🩷
May Jesus live in your heart
Do you know Fr Michael personality?
You are still awesome!
As a woman who struggles with deep shame due to past sins and past trauma, it is comforting to hear from Fr. Mike that I will not need to feel ashamed before Jesus because of how God worked His grace through those past sins and past trauma. Thank you, Holy Spirit.
Beautiful - you are a winner. It's a lot and we all have "past sin flashback". It's a lie from the evil one - once we are forgiven, I am told, God has forgotten our sin, His forgiveness is REAL.
Father Mike, you helped bring me back to the Catholic Church after being away for over 50 years. I will never be able to thank you enough and I pray for you every day. 🙏🏻
Do you know or have contact of Fr Michael?
Dear Lord, please continue blessing Father Mike with his ministry and for his constant message of love and gratitude to You, our Savior and Redeemer.🙏
Fr. Mike, I live in the NW coast of Oregon. Every week I tune into your homilies either before or after my mass. I share with my 12 year old daughter. I’m starting her on the Bible in the year, I did that with you in 2020, you’ve helped me learn and grow as a cradle Catholic. Thank you for helping me be fired up, glory be to God. I wish we had a strong Catholic community to help fire up our youth here in the NW, especially our coastal communities get neglected. Trying to do my part to bring my girls the truth of our faith and to stay focused. There’s a lot of great Catholic educators fired up online. I love that. We need more strong catholic sisters to connect with our young girls too. Anyhow, I love all that you do. I really appreciate all your hard work.
Come to Holy Mass at St. Birgitta if you're ever in PDX.
And come to Mass at St. Cecilia if you're ever in Beaverton.
Also, check out Sister Miriam James Heidland. She is from the NW and is now in Texas. She is incredible!
I too wish there was a stronger Catholic presence for our youth and young adults in their 20s here in PNW - Seattle area is so dark I have been trying to decide where to move and always look at the Parishes and community in the different states across the country I am exploring. I wish there was a directory published that would show population and community involvement as I know there are some areas thriving while some are non existent.
@@ronellcarrollHi, have you heard of Holy Rosary in Portland? We have such an amazing ministry, so many young Catholics at our parish! We have young adult social events every month ☺️ I think there’s one at St. Stephen’s as well! come by!
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful ❤ Father Mike God bless you.
What a great conversation! Both of you really make me want to love Jesus more! I think God has put y’all in my life at just the right time. Thank you!
This was so good to hear. Great interview. Loved the comparison of Father Mike to Patrick MaHomes. 🤣. God bless you both!
Beautiful conversation. Take care.We need you. The world listens!
The Catholic Church is so blessed to have these two men in our corner! Thank you God! 🙏🙏🙏
Praying for you Fr Mike, and all our Priests, Religious and lay people who continue to minister to us, Amen 🙏
Have been blessed to be at four events where Fr Mike celebrated mass and all three of the four times blessed to receive communion from Fr Mike. Jesus Christ shines through Fr Mike’s eyes. His heart is real and his passion for our Lord - unending. God bless and protect this disciple of God.
And thank you inspiring, hardworking, Chris S!!!!!
Isn't communion about receiving the real presence of Jesus, not who is giving you communion?
Absolutely. And your point here?
Seems like post was placing precedent on who gave them communion over what they were receiving @@danielyoung5137
@@SeaPace-zo4wc
That is a bit shallow of you, SeaPace. Given a choice? I would far rather receive communion from Fr Mike than some lay person dressed casually in jeans who has no idea what he is doing.
at the beginning of my journey returning to the church, I found Fr. Mike almost too much for me. It wasn't him, it was me. The joy he has in his life with Jesus was almost blinding for me at first and now I just love it. I was timidly dipping my toe back into the waters of Faith and he is so enthusiastic in his love for Christ it blew me away! Intimidating. Now it draws me in.
God bless you both! (this is the first time I've heard of Chris and I look forward to exploring more of his videos - subscribed!)
Praying for Father Mike !! So thankful to have received the Eucharist from Father Mike a potential future Saint!!
Love Fr. Mike's self- discipline and work ethic, he is a soldier for Christ in all ways.❤
WOW! 9 to 20 hours for a Sunday's homily! You are amazing, Fr. Mike! So are you, Chris! We are so blessed. God bless you both!
What a joy and blessing you both are to me! So many words of inspiration! Thank you and continue to do what God has asked you to do.
I started the Bible and the Catechism in a year in January, but traveling made me missed lot of it that I am listening to 2 to 3 chapters when I make time to do it. I know I will not finish this year but I will keep on doing it. My prayers goes out to Fr Mike for all the good he is doing. ❤❤❤
Praise Jesus! This video was incredible! God bless you both. You are doing the work of GOD and we are so PROUD of you!
❤ Fr. Mike. From the first time I saw one of his videos. I see good priests now, w/a glimpse of what Fr. Mike has now. It just seems at times that their love for the Lord is there, but that the intensity is not the same. The impression is that they've been doing it for so long that maybe they take some short cuts. I believe that is why Fr. Mike is so loved. That his passion for his calling is still burning and for that, I'm grateful. It fuels us. God bless you Fr. Mike, abundantly.
I taught on our RCIA team for many years, and it always fell to me to teach about the 4 last things. The RCIA candidates were often horrified at the thought of the entire world knowing their most secret sins. I explained that their good deeds, and the effects of their good deeds would also be seen. But yes, their deepest, darkest most hidden sins would be made manifest. But I explained that from at least my point of you, it would not so much be shame, as it would be gratitude and joy. One could honestly say, “despite my terrible sins, look how merciful God is, that he saved me“ The showing of our sins is actually showing the magnitude of God’s mercy.
Oh, yes, twelve years in NJ! It was hard to keep up. I was so grateful to be sent to Louisiana (with a group of NJ, NY women) The young people coming into the library said to me (Librarian here), "Why are they so up-tight? They're always in a hurry! That's crazy!"
What could I say? "That's how everybody is up North. Everybody down here is relaxed and slow. That drives them crazy!"
I do have a hard time keeping up with you two, especially now that my hearing is shot and hearing aids help but must be excused for their limitations. I try to follow along with the transcript but my dyslexia and old eyes are struggling to keep up.
I stop the video and read ahead, then turn on the video so I can get most of your chat. Pat yourself on the back that your content keeps me in the struggle!
Praying for you Fr. Mike and for your ministry 🙏🏻 you are a gift of our time please keep going 🙏🏻
What Father Mike "has" is a fiery love for the Lord, and he wants us to catch that same fire!!!
I pray for protection over him every day! By the Precious Blood of Jesus!!🔥🔥🔥
Fr Mike thank you for stating that sometimes Joy and Excitement in your love of Jesus will be misunderstood. I’m a Methodist pastor and my enthusiasm (which is God given) has been said to be rainbows and unicorns. At first I was hurt; but hearing your story you have found a way to accept the criticism with grace and understanding. Thank you - God bless
Thank you for everything you do Father Mike. I would like you to consider doing a Podcast about the Saints 🙏🙏🙏
The suffering from time to time makes the joy and peace in your heart even greater.
Chris, what a great show! Keep smiling... You both shared a great gift of deep reflection - Mary's magnificat, the final judgment... Only things the Holy Spirit reveals in prayer. Thank you for your work (enduring the stress it brings) and your deep prayer!
Love your 2 podcasts Fr Mike. They and you sustain me on a daily basis!
Thank you, Fr. Mike, for sharing that you were a jerk. I know I was such a jerk as a kid, so it makes me feel better that I was not alone in that.
Father Mike is an absolute blessing to us and a gift to the world. God bless Fr. Mike always!
This was a gem. You both are godly men who are working for God in the public eye. Because that's the hardest place to be authentically Catholic. Keep spreading Christ's love and the true joy of God!
Thank you for this. Father Mike, the Lord has used you to change my life. I am so grateful for you. ❤ I am praying for you.
Fr. Mike is a Bright Beacon, A lighthouse in life's storms. May God continue to bless him abundantly. He knows how to co-operate with the Lord's grace.
I pray for him regularly.
Rhonda, from Ireland
Not a Catholic, but I love your show Chris, and I am doing both Fr. Mike’s Bible and Catechism in a Year. I love all of it. Bless you both and your relationship with our God! Thank you Lord for both of these godly men.
Beautiful thank you God bless you both! Father Mike Schmitz is such an amazing soul , Saint of our time ❤
What a great episode! Oh man, I can’t even express the excitement I feel when listening to these two, not just in this episode but when they’re solo also. They’re both just so incredible and such a joy to listen to. I hope more young people listen to these two, we need more Christianity and goodness in this world and that is achieved through the gospel and hearing Gods word!! Thank you so much for your amazing ministry both of you❤
That was wonderful! I don’t know if Fr Mike will see any of these comments… picking up on what he quoted from the bishop saying that Fr Mike says hard things with a smile. For me, what affects me most is that Fr Mike says hard things, he’s not afraid to tell the truth, but he does it with so much love … God bless you both, Chris 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
❤❤❤❤ I loved this!! I am starting full time ministry soon, because I have this heart and joy and relatability too. I never saw it, I thought I was annoying. Lol. So I feel that.
You both inspire me. I finally see my adhd as a blessing, a vessel to spread the message. I cannot wait. Thanks for the advice to stay, Humble, busy and most importantly connected to God. Bless you both. Well done faithful servants. Never stop.😊 peace KK
So thankful for Fr Mikes ministry and I love his sermons on Hallow every morning. I pray for all Catholic ministries that are touching the hearts of so many thirsty souls in our World 😇🙏🏽
that was amazing Chris & Fr. Mike - God bless you both! grateful to be connected to you to strengthen my faith!
The last comments about mass I shared with my two teen boys and we talked about it. And I have had them watch an entire video of Fr Mikes about mass and about how it’s not for us, it’s for God. Thank you Fr Mike and Chris for this beautiful interview for us to know you better when we already feel like you both are a part of our families. 😊
I’ve been following you both for years. So wonderful to hear you together! God bless you, keep doing what you do so well for us in the Lord’s service 🙏🙏🙏
I am watching both of you. I am so expired by you. I attended Chris at St. Mel last week. It was great.
I love Fr. Mike!.The Lord anointed him to speak such wisdom whether it's the Bible, the Catechism or whatever he does. He's so funny and down to earth..I pray for him after every talk when he asks us to pray for him. May the Lord continue to give him everything he needs to serve him fully..
Fr Mike and Chris! How can you lose! I'm a little out of demographic but I love both of you!
I mean I'm old enough to remember when Fulton Sheen died -- and to know who he was!
Remarkable interview. Thank you so much....So many great moments which everyone noticed but I was personally struck by the way Fr Mike schedules all his activities to the nearest 5 minute interval; like every minute of his day, his ministry, his life requires intention and planning. With God's help, I pray that we can all have the same awareness of every minute passing and live it with that sense of 'the stakes being high' as Fr talks about. God bless you all!
Thank you Chris for your book and quick positive reflections that pop up on my apps and helped me to know how much God Loves me.
🎉😊🎉
God is good every day!!!
I just opened my phone and I find you . . .
Every episode Fr. Mike offered prayers for the listeners and requested prayers. I believe those prayers have built a shield of protection around him.
Two of my favourite men…who share the love of God.
Or the love of knowledge, fame and/or respect?
Father Mike's homilies are so beautiful they make me cry! Thank you, God Bless!
Thank you for this. When you say “pray for me”, I do!
I love Father Mike. 😊 Such a beautiful soul. ❤
Thank you Chris and Fr. Mike for inspiring me to love Jesus more everyday!
I’m same i drink coffee ☕️ throughout teh day LOL 😂 day is not complete without it! ❤☕️☕️☕️☕️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I ❤ its smooth comforting taste… and already immune to the caffeine because I’ve been drinking it since high school and I’m 60❤😊
I Wonder what kind of. Coffee he drinks 😮
Thank you both. I take great inspiration from you for my own ministry in the UK. You are prayed for.
Such a great interview. Loved it. God bless these 2 gentlemen. God protect them and keep strong in their work.
This was SO encouraging, and thought provoking, and down right energizing. THANK YOU BOTH.
🩵🤍♥️🙏🏻📿
God bless you, and your families.
Dear Father,
Just a something I heard-take it how you will!-but I heard once that, if someone calls you, just always pick up and-if you can’t talk right then-just tell them! ‘Listen, I can’t talk right now, but can I call you back?’ Sometimes they just need a one-word answer anyway! Just a tip that I learned that has brought me much, much peace, because I used to just let it ring and-not having the time to really talk right then-feel bad about it for a long time afterwards! THANK YOU for all you do!!!!
Fr. Mike is simply the best!
Crying listening to the end when Fr. Mike addresses audience directly. Felt so moved by this.
Hi Chris! Nice to meet you! :) Thank you for this video! Thank you for this interview! Thank you for keep smiling! I am praying for you and Fr. Mike to keep spreading THE GOOD, THE GOD, THE GOSPEL to the world.
Oh my heart when he said his mom passed 💔 😞 🙏🏼
Father Mike, I love when at the end of your Gospel reading you break it down into easy understanding the Gospel you have read to the faithful……..I pray for you…and your ministry, your love of God …….
Great conversation. I am glad I found this. Keep up the good work.
Reminder to stop and say a Hail Mary for Fr. Mike, for his continued health and holiness
Amazing video! After watching and listening to Fr. Mike over the last few years, I'm so glad to have "met" him through this conversation. I'm praying for you, and look forward to both of your content each day :)
It was a blessing to see this podcast with both of you, I love listening to both of you because you explain difficult topics where I can understand and the examples you give are great thank you for your work may you continue to use the talents that God gave you to bring many souls to God
I love both of you. I love the energy you both have and love learning from each of you. I thank God for the two of you. Continue to do God’s work. God bless you both.
❤❤❤❤ thank you for that final message. Made me cry😢😢😢❤❤❤
Fr Mike, I love your homilies. I started loving the homilies when I went to Mother Angelica’s Shrine in Alabama. I heard the most beautiful homilies and witnessed such reverence. And the confessional was so beautiful, I felt so loved. It wasn’t just to get in and out, the priest, Fr Leonard made me feel like I was the only person that existed on earth at that moment . He changed my heart. I pray everyone can experience this kind of Love. I pray our priest will all become educated and become so reverent and fill our churches. Thank you to all our priest.
Wow!! Thank you so much. Such a beautiful conversation and I really needed to hear all these things!!❤ God is so good.
Fr. Mike is a great communicator for Jesus and I hope he always stays on Hallow to give us all the understanding of God’s Word. He’s truly blessed and a true blessing to all of us! Thank you, Fr. Mike!❤🙏
Wonderful! Thank you for this encouragement. Prayers for you both on this crazy, but beautiful journey.
"Watch out for Phillip today Lord, because if you give him the chance, he will betray you." OMGosh, automatic pierce to the ❤. 😪🥺😢😥
@alcira
Yep. Incredible statement. Profound. Humbling. Real. I have to include that now too... every day. 😁
Your Homilies are so wonderful Father. Your words speak to our hearts in ways I can’t express. You bring scripture alive. You make us understand Gods word and love for us. What a gift you are. 🙏🏼❤️ Thank you for all that you do.
Thank you so much Chris..I have no words about Fr Mike. I thank God for him everything he does. I pray for him.
This video was such a gift!
Thank you so much for your faithfulness gentlemen!
I love how much these two men love what they do.....The Glory of God is Man fully alive
Saint Irenaeus

Really enjoyed this conversation between you two very special young men who are full of the joy and love of the Lord , He shines through both of you ! ♥️you are both so inspiring! Thank you for what you are doing in the world!
Thanks Fr Mike
Fr. Mike, you are a beacon of light to myself, and so many others! God has given you such a multitude of gifts, and we are blessed because of this!! Words cannot express the blessing you are to myself and so many all over the world!!! You are God’s warrior on this Earth that we all need so desperately!!! May God bless and keep you safe- you are SO LOVED!!!!
Thanks so much for both of you! Real men of light.
Father Mike helps me understand the Bible. I’ve tried it on my own and have failed several times. So thankful! Thank you Father Mike and God bless!
I pray for you Father everyday in my morning prayers! You are thought of and loved by so many people! Thank you for all the work you do!
The thing that makes listening to Father Mike great is how his passion for the word bleeds through his voice.
Thoroughly enjoyed the podcast enlightening. Thank you for all you do both of you.
Father Mike is really God's servant he is asked to go somewhere to preach the word he travels even if he didn't have enough rest he goes and fulfills his Vocation with joy.
Father Mike I listen to you you almost every day ! I love the gift of god grace and love that you bring/share to/with us!! You keep me going.
God.❤
A very inspiring, vulnerable & lovely interview. Well done to both of you.
You both have opened so many doors for me. I am getting close to God thanks to you both.
Just....thank you God for this man who does Your will! Thank you Chris for having Fr. Mike on your show.
Through out this year I learned so much by reading and listening with Father Mike the Bible and the Catechism in a year. It absolutely great.
Love Fr Mike!
But I get so frustrated with Chris’ interruptions when his guests are speaking.
I have to say thank you so much for both of your ministries. I am a volunteer catechist who teaches high school Confirmation at my parish. Both of your videos from The Chosen series to Father Mike's videos have been instrumental to my less than one year course I have to teach to children who grew up in the faith but don't know what it truly is about. So, I thank you both for your tireless work. Thank you also for your final words of encouragement because at times I do wonder if I am doing the right thing or is it worth it. This is especially since for years I have wanted to share the Gospel and work in ministry but was rejected because I didn't go to graduate school for Theology though I spend countless hours learning and praying on my own. But there are times when I feel God's grace and encouragement to keep it up because the people I serve matter and he reminds me that I matter too. Many blessings and prayers!
Props for the high-five thumbnail (and the conversation 😁👏🙏)
