Crazy amount of taxes on cars....still govt says that diesel car is valid for 10 years...and there is no protest by common people against it ....wake up people
Common working class are the most abused people as they cannot afford to protest due to imprisoned by their corporate jobs , or even poor people like farmers and daily wagers. Where hooligans and rascals like Farmer Unions Mandi dalals ,free loaders, block and create ruckus on the streets, do violence , engage in arson, and they get their demands fulfilled by the govt and the courts, and that is called a healthy democracy.
Exactly man, no one says a word regarding this to the government. They are stealing our vehicles from us. We pay more than 15L on a car worth 30L. And government puts a ban on it after 10 years

People will have to accept reality that we won't ever return to 3%. If sellers must sell, cars prices will have to decline, and lower evaluations will follow. I now look towards the stock market to fuel my millionaire goal. Sure I'm not alone in my chain of thoughts

Agreed, advisors are the ideal reps for investing jobs, and straight up! that's how I’ve stayed afloat for 5 years now, accruing nearly $ 1m in ROI, after 100s of thousands invested. IMO, home prices will need to fall at least 40% before the market normalizes.

@aaashu6592 sahi kaha, ek baar baki k state ka rto tax check karo or fir kehna. Karnataka has the highest tax with no proper roads and infrastructure. Delhi ncr has less with all of the proper infrastructure.

Govt should reduce taxes on Hybrid cars from 43% to 20% or even less..but sadly that won't happen because of politics done by indian brands to support Evs💩 and the 2nd reason is that they don't know how to make hybrid cars🤡

Thank you for a clear exposition. The budget is a brown sahib's budget and if that seems insulting, believe me, it is excessively polite in the face of unmitigated greed and relentless fleecing. China has 10% as it's tax on automobiles, Japan 18%. We have 28% GST to start with, followed by cess, road tax and for running the car, we have excise duty and VAT, accounting for more than 50% of the total cost of fuel. It is time the brown sahibs were shown the door.

The govt doesn't impose taxes on individuals and cars in Dubai coz uae is cash rich.. infact specially made gold cars is trend in uae. Just 2% PPL pay income tax in India.

This 10 Lac Ex Showroom price criteria has been there since how long time?
Considering the increasing prices of cars & inflation, shouldn't they increase this 10 Lac criteria be increased further to 15 Lac or so?
Even in Telangana if showroom provides any discount on the EX price RTO charges tax on the EX value not on discounted.

Just wanted to know when Taigun was launched T-Roc also was available as CBU.
And was surprised to know the top of the line 1.5 TSI Taigun with 90+% localisation when compared with T-Roc was cheaper by around ₹1 - 1.5 lacs only.
Either the CBU was under valued to compensate for Custom duty & other Taxes OR Taigun was priced higher to make more profit.
I am compleled to think VW-Skoda had priced it higher at the launch & because of present poor or declining Sales Nos. have reduced their pricing.

government just want people never to hav some savings or investment.We salaried class play 20 -30 % direct tax and when you buy any thing or avail any service then in total we pay aroung at minimum 50% tax (direct + indirect) and what we get thullu and people saying we need tax for infra and all that .Just thing you pay toll tax , you use airport you pay taxes there as airport development tax etc etc ...Salla smaj hi nhi aarha ki hum kaama kyun rahe jab adha se jada tax mein hum gov ko dete h , aur baki 50 % we have to pay emis , hospital bills , energy bills , telephone bills , children ki fees , and we hav to save also kyunki we work in private sector kab nikal de pata nhi ....

28% GST + 21% Cess for above 4 meters and 1.5 liters above engine capacity + 3% extra for Diesel and 1% TDS these taxes included in Ex Showroom price of Fortuner. Aboue this Insurance+ Road Tax And registration charges . This is the correct taxation for Fortuner
Finally its a govt budget to manage its own expenses and common man expecting "fayada" from it is wishful thinking.
So we pay income tax on the money we earn. Then if we use that money on which we have already paid tax to either invest or buy something we are again paying taxes. For cars we pay taxes on taxes in form of GST, buy insurance-pay tax, road tax, this tax that tax. Govt says pay tax for using/improving services but we have already paid heavy tax on our income. We are taxed again and again. Taxes over taxes. And still we don't see our tax money being used properly by our Govt anywhere. Roads getting worse and worse while still paying toll tax after that stupid road tax...And still you get to drive your car for only 10-15 years. UNBELIEVABLE!

I think Indian government taxation laws are the worst for salaried people. Only 3% people pay tax in India for which we get third class infra ( road, government hospitals and schools etc) After paying 20-30 % tax, one has to again pay taxes at every place like GST, road tax, Toll etc. Thats why Indian new generation is moving to abroad

Our Finance Minister (FM) avoids addressing the impact of the current budget on the commoner and gives evasive answers. What is her justification for double taxation on a selected few? Why impose GST on food items, medicine, hospital expenses, etc? This doesn't seem very honest, given that our PM was against taxing food and essential items used by the commoner while he was a Chief Minister. Despite this, our FM implemented GST on almost everything and increased taxation on everyday people's income and expenses. The ordinary citizen does not have social security benefits and continues to be taxed on everything they have until death, which is ironic. State governments also contribute to maximising the overall burden.
Elected officials frequently raise their salaries, and annual operating expenses continue to increase. The ruling parties appear to be taking no effective measures to reduce administrative costs; instead, they continue to raise taxes, levies, fees, and surcharges on everything to maximize revenue. Real inflation exceeds 10%, while the official range published by the authorities is below 6%. What are we trying to achieve: becoming a world superpower or reaching a five trillion-dollar economy, and at what cost?
Every company pays taxes after offsetting its expenses against income. In contrast, ordinary citizens are diligently taxed on their income and expenses, subjecting them to a double tax burden. Does our constitution honestly guarantee equal rights for everyone? Is that the reality today?
