I vote for the one single print. I find that when I have a bunch of stuff (like you have with all the books to the right) that when you hang up multiple pictures it can give a vibe of being too cluttered. The one simple picture tones it down and simplifies an area.
I vote for the four printsThe large print is very similar to the shape and size of the cabinet. Somehow that feels too heavy. The four create the same basic large shape while being lighter in feel. However, looks like I'm in the minority. Well done! So glad I found you.
Hi Claire! I really appreciate your thoughtful comment. I love these prints so much! 🤣 The majority was definitely for the large watercolor, which surprised me. I really like the thinking behind your choice and I’ll bet you are very intentional in your decorating 😊 Thanks for your encouragement and welcome to the Peaceful Home! 😊
I have that set of Johnson Brothers China! My in laws gave it to my husband and me on our wedding day!!! Over the years I bought more pieces to make it a set of 12! We have 9 children so we used it for special occasions!! We were married in 1965! This set is almost 59 years old!! And I still love it!! ❤

First time watcher today, but I have subscribed, and now I will binge watch your previous videos this weekend. The large new thrifted print is so pretty, and that gives you so many beautiful colors to play with.
Thank you for the fun video! I too try to remember that as much as I love a new thrift find, if I'm not replacing something else with it, or if I don't have a specific home for the new item, I try to walk away. Sometimes I go back if I love it enough, however!
@@KathrynMiller-n9l That has definitely happened to me, too! ☹️ I just have to trust that that item wasn’t meant to go home with me. Thanks for watching! 😊
I have been collecting the blue Currier and Ives for years. My mother-in-law gave me some plates when I was married in 1977. Those were ruined when my house burned. So I started picking up more pieces when I would go to the flea market or thrift store. I have quite a collection! What is unique for me is that most were made the same year I was born--1954. 70 years old! So I've been collecting since I was 23. I recently acquired some relatively flat serving bowls, which I have been using to make personal size salads. So great to see them on here, because where I live they are no longer so collectible. My boyfriend, who passed in 2019, would call my house "The Flea Market House", before it became popular. Thanks for the video!
I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your boyfriend. He named your house well!! I’m so glad you’ve been able to build up a new collection. Thanks for watching, Debra!!

Haha - I’ll bet the real ones are adorable! And 100 figurines is quite impressive. I also love grouping pieces of a collection together. I’ll bet they look fantastic in your secretary. 💛
Lovely finds but I especially love the larger print over that table. I find that smaller prints are better in hallways or in gallery walls, but I think the big print in that wall is much better. It just looks so bright and happy. Thanks for sharing😊
I vote for the single large water color over the cabinet of games for sure! That way what is on top of the cabinet showcases much better in my opinion. You remind me of myself as a thrifter. I am a newbie thrifter, keep what I purchase but am picking up way too much now. I love most of what I have, turned clay pitcher, a couple of beautiful crystal bowls, one 10” and the other 5-6” diameter. Both are gorgeous, some pewter candlesticks but then there are a few spontaneous buys that I didn’t really need. I guess that is to be expected.
Sounds like you have some great finds!! Thrifting is so fun but it’s even more tempting to buy things you don’t need because of the low cost. 😬 It was really fun to read your comment. Thanks so much for watching!
I have recently thrifted many of the Courier and Ives pieces that you recently thrifted. I absolutely love the scenes on these items. Reminds me of my childhood. Standing over a fence talking with by neighbor friends. The other one with ice skating in the backyard. I’ve just stacked mine and placed them on the top of a low mini China cabinet. Easy to grab and use for lunch while eating at my desk. I also have that same pottery piece with the blue stripes I thrifted it for $2. I have wooden spoons in mine. It’s such a classic piece.
Teresa, the blue & white dinnerware was my mother's choice for our family growing up in NC in the 60's. My mother had those dishes. She never used them . They were a grocery store promotion in west Michigan, I believe in the early 1960s, where you spent a certain amount on your groceries and received a piece.
Yay! Thank you for your vote and for watching! I’ve always been a little jealous of your booth - that really allows you to buy some cool things and you don’t have to worry about cluttering up your home - you can always resell!! That is genius for thrifters! 🤣 I appreciate you, Carol!!
I'm very pleased that your video showed up on my feed. I thoroughly enjoyed your thrifted haul and how important it is to have a place in mind for each purchase. ❤
I’m a first time viewer. There are so many thrift- haul videos that I hesitate to look at too many but I liked the de- clutter aspect along with creative thrifting that you present. I also have a similar decorating style to you, I think. Your voice is very peaceful and you showed the end result ( how you styled everything) so I subscribed. Thanks for the effort you put into making this video. 🥰
I vote for the single painting. If it is indeed an original watercolor that is a steal! I do watercolor painting and the large ones are often done by highly experienced watercolorists. The frame and glass alone are worth $100 if new and made of real wood.
I would not chose one over the other. I love both selections of artwork you own. I like to change things up occasionally. Art work is so flat and can be stored easily behind or underneath furniture. I have several pieces that I rotate in and out.
I love that, Nicole! I have picture ledges in my dining area for that exact reason. I have commitment issues! 🤣 So much beautiful artwork - so little space! Thanks for watching. 😊
we had the Currier and Ives set when i was a kid. Then i inherited my MIL's set. she had all the accessory pieces too. It eventually went to our niece.
Definitely the large print. I think it would be too busy with the 4 seasons with everything else you have going on in the bookcase and on top of the cabinet. Great cabinet for your games. Thanks for sharing!
I love Johnson Brothers dishes! I only have a few pieces, but I love looking for them. I live in a tiny house, so therefore I am keeping myself in my limits of space..
I’ll bet that space restriction is very helpful 🤣 They are such beautiful dishes - I’ve been collecting them since I was 16. My grandma would give me a couple of pieces each year for Christmas. Thanks so much for watching and for commenting . 😊
As someone who paints almost daily with watercolour…definitely go with that gorgeous painting!!! Another idea for the lampshade is to try some soft watercolour on the shade. There’s ideas online but I’d say go with something muted as to not overpower the lovely, homey decor around it. I enjoyed watching this …my first time. Not the last….thank you!
I love watercolor! I took a class a few years ago, but I need a lot more practice! 😂 I bet your paintings are beautiful. Thank you for your suggestions and encouragement. Welcome to the Peaceful Home, Mina!
The four smaller prints complement the exterior surface of the cabinet which is similarly divided, and make the wall look balanced. (At least from the limited view we have of the entire room.) I can't tell if the book shelves compete too much with the wall prints. You mentioned there is a window in the room, and given the large single pane of glass on the large print, you may end up getting glare on sunny days making it harder to enjoy the beauty of the print. I have run into that problem, even with light fixtures.
Hi Sue! You must have either natural or trained decorating abilities! Those are all such great considerations. I really appreciate you watching and commenting! 😁
Hi Sharen! Another viewer just told me about the name of that piece and after I looked it up, I knew I was going to want more of it. 🤣 I’ll bet the platter is gorgeous!! Thanks so much for watching and for commenting !!
Haha… you just don’t see all the garbage left behind after the many times that I walk out with nothing. Thanks so much for watching and for commenting!! 😊
Thank you so much for telling me the name of this pattern! The blue is gorgeous! It may have been a mistake telling me though… you know I will want more of it! 🤣 Thank you so much for watching and for commenting !!
Thanks, Roxanne! I do love those prints so much. I was surprised that the overwhelming majority was for the watercolor. I do love it but it’s not quite right for the spot so I’m probably going to keep looking. 🤣 I really appreciate you watching and commenting!
I love that idea! The majority vote was for the large watercolor. I don’t have anywhere where I can put up all four seasons, so I think I might take your suggestion!! Thanks so much for watching and for commenting 😊
I bet I can give you a declutter idea you have never thought about (fun challenge). Most people have some empty space ABOVE THE DOOR INSIDE A CLOSET. I added a double peg rack with 5” pegs. I put gift wrapping rolls up there as they are rarely used but I also put my hubby’s rifle up there (walking sticks, umbrellas, etc, etc).
I like single large print because 4 C/Ives clutter the space making an uncohesive vision flow throughout. Single print bring unity picking up bookcase hues.
I love jugs! I have a white one in a corner cabinet filled with other white pieces of china. I have a larger one with a nautical theme over my fireplace that just holds dried flowers. In my dining room, I have still another jug for dried flowers. I have a small one from Spode in which holds my make-up brushes. As for dishes, I have six sets (all but one incomplete) to go with different foods we serve. Villeroy & Boch (two patterns) for every day, Fiestaware for Mexican, delicate white with gold polka dots for lighter food, Coca Cola dishes for hotdogs and hamburgers, and formal china for holidays. Yes, space is an issue!
Haha - I love it! Sounds like a wonderful collection you are actually using and thoroughly enjoying! Thanks so much for sharing that with me and thanks for watching . 😊
I vote for the one single print. I find that when I have a bunch of stuff (like you have with all the books to the right) that when you hang up multiple pictures it can give a vibe of being too cluttered. The one simple picture tones it down and simplifies an area.

There’s part of me that would love to be a minimalist, and I really do hate clutter, but I also really love vintage and antique items! 🤣
The color of the water in your new watercolor painting matches some of the books on your bookshelf. It's a great find!
Thanks, Cindy!! 😊
I love Johnson Brothers dishes! I only have a few pieces, but I love looking for them. I live in a tiny house, so therefore I am keeping myself in my limits of space..
I’ll bet that space restriction is very helpful 🤣
They are such beautiful dishes - I’ve been collecting them since I was 16.
I’m new on your site, I have subscribed. I like the one large picture over the table. It stands out better, the colours are perfect.
Hi Lynn! Thanks for your vote - you are part of the majority!
Welcome to the Peaceful Home 😁
I have several pieces of the hay wagon Yorkshire including a big platter. I think the larger pic looks best.
Hi Sharen! Another viewer just told me about the name of that piece and after I looked it up, I knew I was going to want more of it. 🤣
I’ll bet the platter is gorgeous!!
Thanks so much for watching and for commenting !!
Beautiful! I’m a little jealous of all of your thrift finds.
Haha… you just don’t see all the garbage left behind after the many times that I walk out with nothing.
Thanks so much for watching and for commenting!! 😊
I have almost a complete set of the Currier and Ives blue dishes, with several accessory pieces.
#lifegoals 🤣
But, seriously, definitely on the hunt for more!!
Thanks for watching and for commenting. 😊
I would LOVE to find a large white pumpkin for a great price while thrifting! I collect white pottery and pitchers!
Yes!! I love white dishes! I also have a pitcher collection. We are kindred spirits!
Your voice is so calming and your home is beautiful ❤
Jody, you are so kind - thank you!!
😊 💛
Just found your channel. I collect Ridgway’s Hayride iron stone in blue transfer ware. It is a very rare piece. Display it well chip and all.
💕💕💕
Thank you so much for telling me the name of this pattern! The blue is gorgeous! It may have been a mistake telling me though… you know I will want more of it! 🤣
Thank you so much for watching and for commenting !!
the 4 -I love old cottages
Thanks, Roxanne! I do love those prints so much. I was surprised that the overwhelming majority was for the watercolor. I do love it but it’s not quite right for the spot so I’m probably going to keep looking. 🤣
I really appreciate you watching and commenting!
I agree with the one single print...I really like the set of 4 if it was right next to all of those bookcases...that makes it feel too busy.. imho.
Thanks, Annette! 😊
The large print! I have found a few nice art pieces while thrifting and still regret not grabbing a nice mirror!
Thanks, Susan!
It’s a fine line, isn’t it? Regret over buying too much versus regret over not buying something! 🤣
I like the single print.
Thanks, Vicki!! 😊
I vote for the single print. I have the 4 seasons of currier and Ives. But I only use one at a time. I switch them out for each season
Well, Gail, you have absolutely succeeded! I have never thought about that space! 🤣
Brilliant idea - thanks for sharing!!
I like single large print because 4 C/Ives clutter the space making an uncohesive vision flow throughout. Single print bring unity picking up bookcase hues.
Hi Carolyn! Another viewer said the same thing about the color... I appreciate your input so much - thanks for watching!
I love the peaceful river scene, so perfect for sitting in your library using your new lamp. Hope we can thrift together soon!
That would be so fun!!
Thanks for your vote 😊
