@@InfraredGodhonestly it was kinda needed because the all Fusion squad was way too powerful with how much meter they gained and how much they could maximize that meter and TOD with ease. Gogeta 4 and Gogeta Blue became the mortal enemy of anyone who didn't have the defense of the gods because they can literally TOD you off of nothing. Was it a little extreme to go 50%? Probably yes but it ensures that the unholy Trinity of random TODs are not reunited anytime soon.
Forgot about the S Broly buff which, alongside Piccolo's funny j.H, is my favorite change. Just like Frieza, S Broly can change the speed of his j.S, but it's a lot funnier-looking in the air.

I don't think they gave his actual punch invincibility against projectiles, lmfao. Only when he travels (which still runs out from fullscreen)
a ton of my characters got buffed. My fellow Cooler, Frieza, Roshi, and Vegeta Blue players are FEASTING right now. And honestly, I also play Gogeta Blue, but I'm fine with his nerf. They didn't touch any of the stuff I liked about the character so I'm fine. Only complaint is that they didn't stick with tradition by giving Tien another massive buff. Give me more Tien buffs ArcSys.

Man i really appreciate your total coverage of everything regarding anime games, just one thing: what happened to the ranking of DB games? It should be your flagship series but it's been 4 months since the last episode, i value quality over everything else so i don't mean to put you in a hurry or anything like that, it's just a bit weird and considering how many db games there are out there, it would take a decade to cover them all at this pace.
Still hoping the Fighterz team gives us new characters. We need the Gammas, Beast Gohan, Orange Piccolo and Raditz in this game. Also new stages in particular Piccolos house and the new Red Ribbon Base and finally a Cell Max boss rush
People SEVERELY underestimate the meter gain nerf. The DBFZ sub reddits make it clear how little they understand that one change. Sure, individually the top-4 are as strong as they ever were. But as a team they much weaker since it's a stack of three -50% meter gain characters. Less meter limits their options and makes it more difficult to get in, build a ton of meter, then nuke you and still be meter positive like before. I'm pretty happy with this change because instead of killing both the meta characters and the meta teams, they addressed just the meta teams so people can still enjoy meta characters but pair them with other parts of the roster. This makes the team build a trade off game: Less resource gain for the best synergy and damage or vice versa.
They won't be happy until the characters are completely unplayable and at this point for me at least they are. I wasn't even using Milf 21 for how good she is since I don't have enough skill to really make use of her kit. I just liked the character. She wasn't even my main, that goes to 16. But now I have to do an optimal combo to even get a bar with her unless I throw in base goku just to use his ki gain assist.
I don't know why bandai can't just make these lol. This actually got me excited. I almost didn't boot up the game just reading the patch notes but I'll actually try this out now
As happy as I am for these buffs, I just..eh. I feel like it kinda robs the characters of their own sense of individuality when everyone has the exact same tools that vary very very slightly (minus a few characters). This also makes every character have the same strengths & weaknesses, so a lot of characters feel very similar.
I don't see how. Every character is a unique mix of normals and specials and supers. Besides, there's always *some* overlap between characters in fighting games.

(Addendum This is a long post on my reasons on why Ginyu was shafted in this patch and why i disagree with Globku saying Ginyu's changes are good) I Main Frieza Point, Ginyu Mid, Broly (Z) Anchor. anyway now on with the post. I would say you are wrong about Ginyu level 2 the damage is the same as his level 1. they both do 2K. blocking Ginyu was never a problem now its all gimmicks which can be hit or miss. the reward for doing level 2 into anything is not worth it. its not like Nappa who truly gets something dangerous by holding the super. you call it a suto Level 7 when if he dumps all of his bar for that it hits 6K or almost 7 he cant extend it a lot due to how the game scales super into supers if Ginyu is Solo its kinda cool but then you know you have to limit the starter and when you can knock somone down. It quickly shows how bad this changed to his level 2 is. there is no reason (OUTSIDE OF GIMMICKS) you would ever really use it for. And actually I play Ginyu and I'll tell you its in fact a nerf. People like me who used the original version since they added it. It not hurts my personal team structure but it hurts characters who lack beams or real screen pressure. Let me break it down. ( i wont go into detail on how i use them just their base functions) 1. Before you had Guldo Rock throw Then Recoome Beam, then Burter flying Low to the ground, then Juice Crusher Ball, (thats the first original order as assist) 2. Second formation It changed Guildo will now use his time freeze move by tracking the enemies last location in front of them them next would be Recoom Bomber and Then Buter's Machinegun Kicks into Juice and Burter Ki blast Volley combo they spawn in on the right side and fly to the left side. 3. The 3rd Formation now is Guildo doing his time freeze but this time by you the player as a small wall then Recoome now does his Kick and after that Burter can fly in the air blocking the players from jumping. then Juice doesn't have anything else so it goes into their tag team volley again but now they spawn from the right side to fly to the ride side. SO NOW with this new patch They changed it to this New formations in this patch 1. Guildo then recoome kick then Burter and juice Burter comes in and instantly do their Tag team Ki blast volley move from the right side to the left side. 2. second formation Guildo does time Freeze by the enemy then recome does ultra fighting boomer, then after that Juice and Burter does his Machinegun kicks then juice does crusher ball as the ender. 3. The 3rd formation is Guildo does time freeze in front of the opponent then recoome goes into Recome beam next Juice and Burter do their volley appearing on the right side to fly to the left side That's it Now this is where ill explain why i feel this way and why its a nerf to me and just in general 1. It REMOVED OPTIONS They removed Burter's flight move as a assist he now only does kicks and volley ( THROUGH NORMAL MEANS) 2. Now you don't need to keep in mind your assist options and it removed unique routes I've made for pressure and Zoning that just goes beyond me and hurts everyone and hurts the real reason you want to use this assist. you want to fully use the Ginyu force. It rewarded you for remembering all of their skills and working with them on the fly for pressure or in combos. you know every situation you want to use them for. Before you can come up with countless situations to put your opponent in but now its limiting and effectively boring. that cool thing that can make people use that assist That's NOW GONE. And every time you use the Ginyu force Ginyu loses them in his own call when he is back on the field. The next character he summons would follow the same order after use. Now that you use 2 OF YOUR MEMEBERS When Ginyu comes in you now have the LAST 2 before it resets back to Guildo. Before you can use Guildo as anyone then when Ginyou comes in he has 3 to spare that kills a lot of solid situations you can use before for him alone and changes how he gets oki if you use this assist. 3. The ONLY WAY to break the chain is if you PLAYED GINYU FIRST throw away 1 member then tag him out Then use his assist so the order I listed before is now tweaked But everything is left the same AND THATS when you can get Burter's Flight back Low and High But you NEED TO KEEP THE CHAIN BROKEN to get that. Not only do you need to do this to get 1 of his moves but it adds NEEDLESS complexity to an already complex and memory intensive assist. and how the formations work some don't work well at all together in isolation if you break the chain since they are both forced to come out. Overall this change to assist is the worst thing they could have possible done to it. I am sorry for the essay but calling this change good is anything BUT that to me. Playing Ginyu since the launch of the game knowing him inside and out this is a BAD Change the only good thing he got was Was Shoulder Being Full screen meter less then his 2M being 10 frames so he can get cheeky high lows now. those 2 other changes are really poorly made by Arcsys and Bandi
Looks like a glitch but on my testing I wasn't able to cancel ginyu's 4H into calling a force member. It seems to only work on 5H and 6H (regardless of which direction you press afterward the spin starts). As a ginyu main my only sad part about the patch is that I was able to corner Broly lv1 into Ginyu lv1 into DR (as Broly's orb is slower) into corner mix. Now they changed the lv1 properties so ginyu causes opponent to drop away from the orb and DR isn't possible. Still works with DBS Broly though.

The Vegito and Gogeta meter nerfs makes sense lore-wise. The fusion's power output is maintained cuz the duration of the Fusion decreases the more power they unleash especially Vegito. For Gogeta, SS4 builds-up more meter than SSGB cuz the Traditional non-God super saiyan transformation has an energy leak problem, meaning they release more ki than their God counterpart which they can spam moves. Gameplay wise, the Fusions alone are Top-tier and even casuals who knew how to play won't need to spend too much meter to win (see Dotodoya's gameplay post-patch), this gives these characters a higher skill ceiling to play while their in-lore character gives them the illusion of a super strong playable.
Lmao. Their whole "gimmick" is braindead easy nuetral and higher hit count that requires far less precision to execute. The lack of meter gain makes balances out that fact. The only reason gogeta 4 got 25% instead of 50% reduction is because his combos don't have as many hits in them.
Regarding the AGC. How many fighting games would you imagine having in the group. Like would there also be games like, Melty blood, guilty gear, heck even one punch man?

Nerfing Hit was the most unnecessary, and laziest change they could have possibly done for him.
The meter nerf was probably for his autocombo loops, but you’re right, he didn’t need the nerf.

When you land the kick, jump right before you press grab. It works like the standard bnb 2h->jump extensions.
So just 5h->jump-> dragon rush.

As a ginyu main my only sad part about the patch is that I was able to corner Broly lv1 into Ginyu lv1 into DR (as Broly's orb is slower) into corner mix. Now they changed the lv1 properties so ginyu causes opponent to drop away from the orb and DR isn't possible. Still works with DBS Broly though.

The Vegito and Gogeta meter nerfs makes sense lore-wise.
The fusion's power output is maintained cuz the duration of the Fusion decreases the more power they unleash especially Vegito. For Gogeta, SS4 builds-up more meter than SSGB cuz the Traditional non-God super saiyan transformation has an energy leak problem, meaning they release more ki than their God counterpart which they can spam moves. Gameplay wise, the Fusions alone are Top-tier and even casuals who knew how to play won't need to spend too much meter to win (see Dotodoya's gameplay post-patch), this gives these characters a higher skill ceiling to play while their in-lore character gives them the illusion of a super strong playable.

Most of the nerfs seem dumb imo, fusion characters whole gimmick is meter gain. 50% less is pretty stupid
Lmao. Their whole "gimmick" is braindead easy nuetral and higher hit count that requires far less precision to execute. The lack of meter gain makes balances out that fact.
The only reason gogeta 4 got 25% instead of 50% reduction is because his combos don't have as many hits in them.
