    Merry Christmas Professor Sam Vaknin.
It's been a year or more since I started listening to your videos. It gave me the guidance & light to make sense of my life. For almost ten years I had been seeking answers. I knew something was wrong but I didn't know how to fix or address it. That experience is deathlike. It's a prison. Trapped inside yourself, with no guidance.
How I found your content was seemed random at the time, but looking back, it was a miracle. Thanks to you, I learned to accept myself. Thanks to you I was able to start building myself in reality. To start building a life.
Thank you Professor Sam Vaknin. You're too kind. You're a role model & a father figure to me.
I shudder when I think about how many lives were lost, destroyed, through the ages, simply because they were a bit different. Because they didn't have what I have now. A guide, a finger pointing at the moon.
They say when the student is ready, the master appears. I don't know if I was ready a year ago & not ten, but I know I'm eternally grateful to have experienced your wisdom & guidance.
    Merry Christmas sir.

    Merry Xmas Prof.Vaknin.
I've always enjoyed your lectures in this Podcast and I share the same with many of my friends and relatives.
Much of your lectures on Narcissism present it as largely a result of nurturing failure by the Environment (particularly the Mother or the Mother Figure) at infancy.
    Isn't there Narcissism that's inherited?
Many Psychiatrists indeed, and especially in Africa, view much of Personality Disorders as inherited down the families.
Kindly shed some light in this.
Many thanks and have a Happy New Year 2025.

Search the From Child to Narcissist playlist. Psychiatrists in Africa and self-styled experts on RUclips are not exactly the authorities in the field.

Dear Prof. Vaknin, it seems all of life is narcissistic, the only way out is Advaita, non duality, enlightenment. As everything else is, even just in a very very sub clinucal way, narcissistic. Do you agree?

Sorry, what are the four needs of a narcissist? I missed the last one

Sex, supply (sadistic and narcissistic), services, safety: the 4 Ss.

Why didn't you cover Hermann Hesse's book (I just bought it for a friend who might have a narcissistic mother before I watched your video)? I think a fair amount of narcissism is a cover for BPD, for a deep fear of being nothing.
