Eventuri makes one of the best intakes for the GR Corolla. One of the lowest intake air temps, one of the highest flowing, and also has option scoops to direct air into the intake

This is actually a pretty significant increase in power, especially at the midrange, where most of normal driving is done. Might be something to consider… 🤔

What happens with heavy rain? Does the aftermarket intake sucks water? Also, how rotation displacement is absorbed? You have an engine that rolls connected to a static element, something will give after time I think.
The design is gorgeous but I can see so many fitment issues when folks start adding more mods. Also that corgi is so freaking cuteeee
Love the video, been watching the crumbs get left as this intake has been getting developed. Super bummed we dont have clips of the sound, both revs and some pulls. Really excited about this intake, but I wanna her it sing!
Well, the mass flow rate should be the same regardless of filter you use. The power gains you're seeing should mostly be coming from the smooth transition, which means less energy is lost, and doesn't have anything to do with the velocity.

1. Power was made on OEM map or on tuned car?
2. What's the weight difference between the 2 units?
3. About how much surface area of the radiator does the air scoop block?

Wym why? Eventuri makes the best cold air intakes for performance cars, just like how Akrapovic makes the best exhausts for performance cars/bikes. Most other brands either use cheap quality or are not designed by actual engineers.

Probably no difference. It's closed intake like stock.

Won't blocking the radiator with the air scoop cause potential heating problems
It's not a large enough scoop to actually be detrimental to the cooling of the car.
@KevinVo but it looks like it's covering about 25% of the area.. unlike oil coolers which covers but still allows air to hit the radiator, worries me a little especially when we get carried away during long spirited drives.

Hi Kevin, did you install the air dam back before putting the bumper back on?
with the air scoop down in the bumper, doesnt that disturb the airflow to the radiator, condenser and oil cooler?
Just know that replacing the intake with something aftermarket in most cases doesn't make the car run better if you do not tune it. Literally all you are doing most of the time is changing the sound/look. You can also make it run lean under certain situations and lose horse power. Some will even throw a MAF code. If staying stock do enough research because all you should really care about on a stock car is keeping the incoming air cooler and not actually increasing the amount of air going in because this can throw off your fuel tables without a proper tune.

Curious as to if this will work with any FI kits on the market or if this will be strictly an NA thing. Cool kit but spendy for what little power it adds. That consistent power add at 5k RPM is very attractive though

I never turbocharged a car but I wondering for the future does a turbo take the place of an intake? might be a stupid question but I’m just trying to learn because I would love to turbo my 86
You’re getting in way over your head just from this comment alone.
Turbocharged cars have/need intakes too. But whether or not this aftermarket intake would fit another aftermarket turbo kit is another question that can’t be answered unless someone else does it first to find out. Some turbo kits may come with their own intakes too.

you should try taking out the charcoal filter net that comes in the stock intake. behind the air filter there is a thick net that does restrict airflow. you cut that out and you can get pretty much the same power gains for free

Was the stock intake with the charcoal filter, or without it, like the cars outside of the US?
for all selling purposes, I bet it was with charcoal, because, its "honest" as its stock, vs their aftermarket.- and it helps with their claim of more hp. - I personally bought a charcoal less filter from Japan for like 80 shipped, worth it.

I dislike removing the front bumper. Even with two people the area around the headlight is so easy to chip the paint. Ask me how I know. 😢

It's a shame they'll be holding a patent on that design for the foreseeable future. Not like it matters since COBB wouldn't bring that tech to VA chassis with the VB being out.

It looks awesome but that's a high cost to only get a couple HP, especially if you are just daily driving. Appreciate their engineering with this piece of kit though. 🤌🏻
