Great information Tim thank you! I tried all this range on a vertical tasting and enjoyed all of them separately. Billy does everything well it seems, glad you liked it! Cheers!

This seems like a pretty impressive start to the full Billy Walker era...

Great video and review. I am looking forward to trying out these expressions from Billy. All with the exception of the Turbo are available in my area. Really been enjoying the content and am shocked that I had not subscribed. I am all subbed up now! Cheers.

Nice review. I've just tried the Sherry One...and that was a real treat. The price here in Sweden is sek798 ($74) in todays currency. I think that's quite a fair price for that quality.

I found a website that had all four so I had to jump at it. Very impressed with all of them. Especially liked the Chinquapin

I really like this Meikle Toir 5 year old!! Love the Rye casking!

They think the rye brings some spice into the mix. It's pretty solid.

I've had the Sherry one and the Turbo (2024). Both are fabulous drams, but the Turbo is better. It's just so different to what I've tasted before. Billy Walker is just a magician with his distillation, cask management and maturation processes. You can't go wrong with any of his stuff, honestly

I picked up a bottle of their The Sherry One, and, boy howdy, am I happy. I have some major reservations about many peated expressions, particularly those from Islay. So, I was surprised that when I tried Port Charlotte 10, it did not alienate me. I asked around and was told that Bruichladdich did not use Islay peated malt, but had peated malt trucked in from Aberdeenshire....reputedly the St. Fergus peat. So, I'm happy to hear that this is basically the same peating. My Sherry One is a wondrous mix of smoky campfire and chocolate-covered Christmas cake. It stands well with Benromach's Contrasts: Peat Smoke in Sherry Cask as an equivalent.

Can't go wrong with that PC 10. I'm very intrigued about the sherry-influenced Meikle Toir, as Sherry and peat can mix very well when done right. Looking forward to trying it.

@@whiskywhereabouts Oh...the sherry/light peat is my utter weakness. Benromach 15 is my 'main mast'. I spent some time acquiring peated expressions to compare and contrast. Meikle Toir The Sherry One stands very close to, as an equivalent to, Benromach's Contrasts: Peat Smoke in Sherry Cask. Great stuff that I'm not trying to tell too many people about, as I fear too much attention leads to too much demand.
PS - It's good to see you move into the ranks of the recognized and cited whisky commentators on RUclips. Congrats!

There is a potential for Meikle Toir to hopefully put out good bottles in the future. I have tried both the Chinquapin and Sherry and they are both very good for a 5 year young bottles. Cheers!
