And, the study was comparing trans individuals with cisgender individuals. Trans people often have a hard time finding acceptance, which certainly will affect their mental health. How can the study assess the affect of gender affirming surgery if the control group is cisgender individuals? If it was comparing trans people who have had surgery to those that have not, then it would be different. But this study just says trans people have higher su!cide rates than cisgender people, even with surgery. We’ve known this, and it’s not because they got surgery. Dude X Men is about marginalized people yes but the idea of it was despite being different than the rest of humanity, they'd still protect people that hated them for their powers. They did the right thing despite all the oppression. It's not just that, it's the fact that not a single character in a movie is their own original character and is just a woke copycat of the original Peter Parker Spider-Man.
Also, it's called subliminal messaging going out of their way to influence people with pictures in the background so they can influence their way of thinking. Entertainment in general should remain neutral period. Even if it's subtle " a protect trans kids" flag should not be at a kids movie

I've seen some of her content before (because at first I thought she's one of those unbiased RUclipsrs) but she missed the point soooo much it doesn't even feel like she's talking about the same movie and is just blinded by her own bias. There's nothing forced about putting a trans flag in a movie when the whole 2-hour plot isn't even about being trans. It does not even define Gwen Stacey as a character either. It's all up for interpretation and she took it too seriously. It's literally hidden and blended so well in the background that nobody would even notice unless they watched RUclips videos pointing them out.
Also, the fact that she didn't use the split second of a scene of a mosque (literally the whole screen is just a shot of the mosque) in the movie as her argument of "political agenda", so she is clearly being nitpicky with her "evidence".
Let trans people be happy and relate to the movie/symbolism, just like how others may interpret the movie differently. It's a great movie, period.

And, the study was comparing trans individuals with cisgender individuals. Trans people often have a hard time finding acceptance, which certainly will affect their mental health. How can the study assess the affect of gender affirming surgery if the control group is cisgender individuals? If it was comparing trans people who have had surgery to those that have not, then it would be different. But this study just says trans people have higher su!cide rates than cisgender people, even with surgery. We’ve known this, and it’s not because they got surgery. Whether Gwen is trans-coded/hinted or just a supporter (I've also seen headcanons her father is trans himself), it's really nice to see subtle hints of representation within the SpiderVerse. I don't really think it's classified as "woke". I really don't understand why people are getting so upset and it makes me sad reading some of these comments. As a trans person and knowing the history of how trans people were portrayed negatively, especially transwomen, it makes me happy knowing the SpiderVerse has a diverse cast or the animators/team is supportive in general.
