One of the best most courageous tough performances in NCAA history by Fields. At the very least he has some severely bruised ribs and I wouldn’t be surprised if he has some cracked ones. He literally couldn’t get off the exercise bike without being in severe pain. He threw 3 more tds after the injury and 2 of them were bombs,,..unbelievable !!!

Yeah, my husband leaned over a desk and partially dislocated a rib about 3 years ago. It still hurts him and it wasn't near the pile driver blow that Fields took! Sure hope they keep a good eye on him! And not just because of the next game or his career.

Well, that 1% or 2% chance became a reality on Day 1 of the 2021 NFL Draft; what was a major help for the Bears was finding a trade partner (NYG) and JFields slipped down the draft. I am thankful, the Bears didn't select Alabama QB Mac Jones. Jones is a okay QB but, he is predominately a pocket passer. Chicago needed not only an athletic QB who has a strong arm & accurate thrower yet also, a dual threat to run....similar to Lamar Jackson (Balt.)and Patrick Mahomes (KC). Drafting Fields cost the Bears lots of 2022 draft pics but it was necessary since Dalton and Foles were not the long term answer for Chicago. Bear Down!
