Agreed. I like to check their highlights as Im rooting for Coach Ryans (49er fan here), and I really like how this kid is developing. He has really great mechanics and is getting that ball out quick, especially to Nico Collins. Texans may have something to say about the AFC South even this season, which wasnt what I think even they expected
Looking great so far. Heck, only reason we have 3 losses is all injuries especially the first two losses. We were missing like 14 starters. The one game we actually took an L on, CJ got us the lead with a min and some change left and that garbage PREVENT defense failed us as always. Lost to a field goal to atlanta.

@@marcusostrander5971 We dont know how CJ will do in the league until he plays a few years. There have been plenty of Ohio State QBs that shined in college but failed in the pros. The NFL is a much different animal from college. The best college defense would be the worst in the pros, its not comparable.

No.7 the great CJ Stroud has been the best player in college football for that last 2 yrs.Surrounded by inept D coord,Ryan Day pulling him early 3rd every gm until big gms then wouldn't let CJ run the O.Not to mention the target/bounty call reversal on Marvin Jr.-Ohio State wins National Title w/out that call even w Knowles lining the D up on the line 90% of time.CJ will be a 5 time NFL MVP,n if he's not stuck on a small market small budget team a few SBs.The best QB ever from the BIG10.Peyton is the best thrower ever n 5MVPs mainly in small Indy.CJ has 18's accuracy but a better athlete.Can't wait NFL

4:50 and 12:15 - Two best throws of his career, at least as far as being an NFL prospect goes. Under pressure, threaded the needle. He also ran better and looked more mobile in this game than any other. The rest of the time the OL gave him an awful lot of time to throw, and a lot of passes were to superb receivers who were pretty open. That last part people seem to be completely ignoring for some reason when praising him.
@Davis Young is not a Great QB prospect.
I think he's going to start in this league.
But he's just a chain mover, he isn't electric, he doesn't jump out on tape. He just gets the job done. He also can't handle pressure for the life of him.
Both guys are projects, but Stroud looks like the better QB by far

I even immortalized it on a podcast during draft season, I've been high on Stroud since I went to the tape. Richardson was my #2.

It's because the scouts don't go off of one game when evaluating players. Every game is another piece of data. Arm strength, accuracy, poise, leadership, work ethic, breaking down plays on the dry erase board with coaches, etc...
This was the best game of Strouds career. Something changed between the Michigan game and the bowl game because if he was like he is now or in the Georgia game, OSU wouldn't have lost a game in 2022. He is too good now.

Stroud? Yeah sorry I don't see it. Young was very mobile and Stroud is not. Also I want to go through his tape and watch how he responds after getting hit. It's something I want to look for when watching quarterbacks going forward

I wouldn't call him a bust. Many many rookie QBs had a terrible 1st season. That team was pretty bad and i wouldn't expect Stroud to have a decent season if the roles were reversed.

Yes but this was also the best game of his career as well. The processing problem came from a test he didn't do well in twice. It tests his reaction time to different things happening in a vr machine simulating a nfl game. It's hard to deny he looks much better now than almost his entire career at OSU and he was a really good QB in college.
@@Big10footballjunkieswhen I go back and watch other OSU games he was always an elite processor. Just turn on the tape. He doesn’t hold the ball he makes quick decisions and boom it’s a dart. He repeatedly did that over and over again. It’s beautiful. Compare this to Caleb Williams and Williams holds the ball wayyyyy too long.

Which IS impressive against that Georgia defense, HOWEVER, in every other game he for whatever reason is not at this level. Too many inaccurate passes and placement issues, and one thing I’ve noticed more than any other, is that when he’s on the run whether it be a called bootleg or when he’s flushed out the pocket, the play is virtually over. His accuracy on the run, ability to deliver a strike is nonexistent.

@spideyhim8 hey, I will admit I was wrong. Stroud got a ton better from college. Prior to the season at least half the scouts and draft guys out there would have said Maye is a better prospect but Stroud worked his ass off and got better. Now they are loading him up with weapons on both sides of the ball.

As a Panthers fan I hope Stroud is the pick. But at the same time I have to admit several plays here were just pure luck and had nothing to do with how great he is. He did so many out of character things in this big game that he never showed throughout the regular season. Is he capable of playing like this on a regular basis? That is the question. I still prefer him over Young.
I have several games of Stroud up. Check those games out and you'll see running was a big difference later in the season.

Stroud is leaps and bounds ahead of Levis. Better cast, absolutely. But 90% of strouds passes are not just catchable, but pinpoint accuracy. Levis is more athletic and stronger arm, but Stroud’s arm is plenty strong enough to make every throw. Is Levis’s ceiling higher? Yes. But his floor is far far lower given his lack of accuracy. Stroud will go QB 1 or 2 in the draft. Levis will be the 4th QB selected

If you compare them side by side on tape, when receivers are open Stroud hits them on the money much more consistently than Levis. Josh Allen is a good example that could indicate Levis could become a very good NFL QB. Joe Burrow is the same comp for Stroud.
Stroud will absolutely be better day 1 than Levis. Could Levis develop into a better QB than Stroud? Possibly. But I believe teams will opt for the nearly sure thing in Stroud before gambling with Levis.
But time will tell who is better as an NFL player.
