- One of the easiest Capital One Venture X benefit to use is the $300 travel credit.
1️⃣ log into your capital one account
2️⃣ go to View Rewards
3️⃣ book travel
4️⃣ search flights , hotels, car rentals
5️⃣ book travel using Capital One Venture X card
Wait a few days, sometimes weeks and you’ll see $300 credit to your statement
$300 travel credit is per card anniversary so that means you’ll get one $300 credit when you open the card then another one when you renew your card in 12 months. It’s use it or lose it so make sure you use the $300 travel credit
The capital one venture x has a $395 annual fee. The $300 credit helps offset the annual fee.

question: Let's say I booked a couple of hotels in March 2023, but my card anniversary won't be until July 2023 and I've already exhausted my annual travel credit from 2022. Does my upcoming travel credit renewal applies to the hotels from March 2023? or does it have to be from the day I get my credit and onwards?
That would be a month after you pay the next year annual you get the 10k and $300 travel credits for following year
I am interested in the non-surprise line of credit with a very low limit
When did you get the statement credit? I book a hotel back at the end of January and got my statement a couple of days ago and still haven't received the 300 back.
Per their terms it says up to two billing cycles

No, you can't transfer to Marriott or Hilton. (You wouldn't want to do it anyways, it's bad value).
And yes, you can combine points with the Savor One.
Can I use the capital one portal to book domestic flights?

If my calendar year is from April-April could I book a hotel for a trip in December before April than after April book another hotel for the same trip and get the next years $300? Wondering if the trip actually has to fall in the calendar year or just the booking?

The annual fee is a set fee you have to pay regardless if you use up all your rewards credit or other benefits. If you don’t want to pay the annual fee, ask capital one to downgrade your card into a card without annual fee.
That travel program really sucks,
They are just brokers through a very broken system that the providers do not respect leaving the customer (us) left on the street when problems arise there is NO recourse nor accountability

No $300 credit is only for primary card holder

@@MaxMilesPoints good way to spend that $300. I tend to book flights with Amex Platinum because the Amex Customer Service when things go wrong. Hotels I like to book with a Hotel Card, so miscellaneous travel is a good use for Venture X and especially rental cars with 10x and the primary insurance coverage.

@@LK_EBM Yes status is honored. You basically pick the car you want on the lot barring the up sell luxury cars. It’s the same as National Executive Elite. I have received no upgrades. Prior to the pandemic car selection was much better.
